For Birth Control "Lo Loestrin was causing spotting, which turned into severe bleeding and cramping that became unbearable, so went with Taytulla. Pros: no acne, good libido, no mood swings, no weight gain, no preggo. First month, just minor cramping when “period” came. Month 2, cramped throughout the month, started spotting two days before my withdrawal bleeding. 3rd month... HORRIBLE. My cramps were so bad to the point of crying and hunched over in PAIN with so much inflammation. When it was time for the next pack, I couldn’t take the pill... I realized I have estrogen dominance unknowingly, and I think this pill made it worse. Is everybody different with the pill? Yes. So if it works for you, great. If you are having symptoms, DON'T IGNORE the signs and don’t let a doc tell you this is normal. And if you have underlying issues, get checked out first and healed possibly before taking the pill. The pill only masks issues you have. Hence when you’re off the pill, your issues are still there."

For Birth Control "I've been on Taytulla for a month and 6 days, and it has been the worst thing I've ever done. I have tried 2 other birth controls before this (the injection and Nuvaring), and neither made me feel so depressed and anxious. I have also had bleeding with lots of clots for 54 straight days. The migraines and cramps are extremely painful. I was put on this BC because I am thought to have endometriosis from my OBGYN. The only good thing about this product is that I'm not pregnant."

For Birth Control "I have been on Taytulla for about 2 weeks. I had Nexplanon, which I loved but caused ovarian cysts, so I had to get it removed. Since getting Nexplanon removed, I haven't had a period, so they put me on Taytulla to try and get my body back into the rhythm of things. Ever since taking this BC, I have had headaches, extreme nausea, double vision, depression, anxiety, terrible cramps, and I got a yeast infection, which turned into a bacterial infection, I am breaking out like crazy. I called my OB today to see if they couldn't send in another birth control to my pharmacy. They told me basically to suck it up, and after 3 MONTHS, the side effects would diminish. Needless to say, I quit taking it 2 days ago and still have side effects, please take with caution!"

For Birth Control "With potential endometriosis, I was prescribed this medication strictly to control and help moderate my never-ending pelvic pain and over-the-top long heavy painful periods. Starting Taytulla on the first day of my period, I can say with full confidence that it was the worst period of my life. Lasting over two weeks, I could do little to nothing due to excruciating cramps, fatigue, headaches, back pain, nausea, breast pain, and dizziness. Since then, I haven't had one day free of spotting, nausea, anxiousness, feelings of depression and panic, consistent pelvic pain, neck pain, headaches, and constant fatigue, often leaving me out of breath. All these symptoms seem to appear or worsen after I take the pill every day at 4. I am 20 years old with a healthy BMI, and I can't describe how much of a living hell these pills are putting me through. But I'm determined to stick it out for three months. That's when I'm told it will improve or find a new OBGYN."

For Birth Control "This pill ruined my life. For the first three days of taking it, I felt unbelievably awesome. I had a lot of energy and I felt generally happy. Around the 5th day of taking this, I started to feel off but continued to take it. A few more days passed and I began to feel extremely emotional, could not stop crying, and started having severe anxiety and depression that interfered with my daily life. I would lay around and cry all day, every day. I had no motivation to do anything and felt trapped in my own mind. Aside from the emotional side effects, I completely lost my appetite, had severe cramps, extreme nausea, and abnormal bleeding, which went on for 16 straight days. I stopped taking the pill after 16 days. I've been off the pill for 4 days now and I have yet to get my appetite back, but my mental state is finally starting to improve again. This pill ruined my life and strained my relationship. Thanks a lot, Taytulla, you suck."

For Birth Control "I have taken Taytulla for 3 months. The first month on this pill, my period stayed on for about 2 weeks, after the first month, my period was very light and short, but I still had bad cramps. All three months, I had painful breast tenderness on about the second to third week, to the point that I found it impossible to run on the treadmill for a few days. The most miserable were the symptoms experienced on the onset of my period... nausea, diarrhea, sweating, weakness, dizziness, and horrible, horrible cramping. I felt as if I needed to go to the ER, the symptoms were that severe, as if I had food poisoning or something. I didn't experience any increase in acne but did experience noticeable bloating. The last month, my emotions were a little out of whack. Overall, I debated whether or not to give Taytulla a try for an additional month, to see if the medication just needed to level out some more. I ended up calling my doctor's office, and the nurse felt a new brand/pill was worth a try."

For Birth Control "I wanted to share a review since I was really nervous about going on this pill, especially after seeing all the horrible reviews. My doctor put me on Taytulla because I was borderline hemorrhaging with my periods, bleeding 8-16 oz/day on my heaviest 2 days. I am just starting my 3rd month. Month 1 was awful, as I spotted almost every day because of the hormone change. Cramps have been the worst cramps I've ever had since I started. No breakouts though. Month 2 my period was so light. Bad cramps, but still no breakouts. Overall, I'm happy with how this has flipped my periods around, but hate the cramping. Give it a few month adjustment period before you listen to all the negativity. I will take the cramps because of all the other benefits."

For Birth Control "Do not take this birth control. I have bad constant cramps and terrible mood swings. I have never been so anxious and depressed in my whole life. My boobs are constantly sore, and my mood swings are ruining my relationships with those around me. I haven’t felt like myself since I started taking this pill. It also made me anemic. Never take this pill."

For Birth Control "This is my first time being on birth control, and I must admit I can't wait to get off of it. The first month on it was horrible, I felt like vomiting the 2-3 weeks on the pills. I was spotting light in the beginning, and then it got very heavy with bad, bad cramping, which lasted 18 days. I thought this pill would reduce cramping, but instead it gave me horrible cramping. Also, this pill turned me into a different person. The mood swings are kicking me very badly. Now that I'm in two months on these pills, it has gotten worse. I've had bleeding again like the first month and bad cramping that lasted 2 weeks, and it is horrible. Now that I am finishing the 2nd pack of this pill, I've gotten very sick, and my appetite went down. It made me bruise easily and very emotional. I'm only on it for 3 months, and I can't wait to get off of it, and after that I am no longer taking birth control after all that. The only good thing this Taytulla pill did for me was no weight gain, and it made my face very clear, no acne."

For Birth Control "This birth control made me severely depressed off the bat, but being my first go, I decided to wait it out. About 2 weeks in, I started bleeding and had awful cramps. Never had cramps before, and migraines started. I was crying and having panic attacks all the time and hated myself on it most of the time. Still, I tried to push through. But then, after bleeding for 3 weeks straight and beginning to get cystic acne on my face, I am quitting this pill. I know a lot of people that bled nonstop on this pill. I know everyone is different, but do not use this pill if you've never had BC before. Gonna be using Lo Loestrin. Hope it's better."

For Birth Control "I am getting married! I am very self-conscious of weight gain, side effects, and making sure everything falls into place. I have no need to take the pill until a month from my wedding, but I thought: I’m introducing hormones into my body; I know I will have side effects. How I handled taking it: 1. I take it at night before I sleep (I still feel side effects because it happens). 2. I drink water. 3. I keep a diary!!! My entry of the first seven pills: I started taking Taytulla on June 17th. The most common side effect I had was headaches. I had a little nausea; I noticed after my fifth pill I did have ovary pain. I didn’t gain weight during the first week - I lost weight because I’m trying to! I went down two healthy pounds! My first week was a success! Today I began my second week of Taytulla. I still have my diary of small entries of how I react, so I plan to continue this so I can update you! My measurements are 29”-26”-34” for reference and my weight is 113!"

For Birth Control "This birth control has made my life a living hell, and I am hysterically crying as I write this. I had clear skin before this pill, and now I don’t even want to leave the house, my acne is so bad. My period lasts a month when it used to be bad at 8 days. My cramps have been even worse, to the point where I have to scream into my pillow. I gave it some time, but it’s tearing down my mental sanity too quickly, so I cannot stay on it any longer."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Taytulla for about half a year. The first few months were wonderful: no heavy bleeding, no cramps, no prolonged period, etc. Within 3 months, I stopped having periods. I went 3-4 months without a period, and then BOOM, I had a 3-week-long period that made me depressed, cramp terribly, and cry myself to sleep. I’m sure my body got used to this medicine. But I’m going to the doctor to get a new BC ASAP. I wouldn’t not recommend Taytulla if you have depression or anxiety, or if your body gets used to “low” BC."

For Birth Control "I started Taytulla almost a year ago in order to regulate my period and help with severe cramping. I noticed that when I first started, I cried every day for like 3 months, but after that, I've just been a bit sensitive to things that I might've just laughed off in the past. The pills worked great for a long time-periods only during the maroon reminder pills, slight cramping for two weeks before (only I've always had that and it was much more severe, so I'm counting that as a plus). Now I'm on my 7th pack, maybe? But it's not working out so well. Pretty intense cramping (not as bad as before though, but still bad) and periods on my pre-bc schedule. This might be normal though, so I'm still giving it a higher score."

For Birth Control "Horrible! I’ve been on this birth control for about 3 weeks now and for the last 5 days I’ve been experiencing excruciating cramps, spotting. It also made me break out, moody, and bloated. I'm calling my doctor today to switch me to something else ASAP. I was on another brand of birth control before this and never had one issue. This birth control is 100% NOT for me, nor was it good."

For Birth Control "I've been on Taytulla for about 10 months, and I've been enjoying it! The main thing that I've noticed is gradual weight loss, not complaining at all. Overall, I've been positive and much more confident in myself. A negative is if I am late taking the pill, I will get major cramps, but that might be an every pill thing. Another thing is my mood does change, not often, but I notice it on occasion. It has not affected my work and stress level while I'm in school, but my libido has been low. This is my first time taking birth control, so I'm not sure what is related to the pill and what isn't, but for it being my first time, I'd say I lucked out compared to a lot of the reviews."

For Birth Control "I was put on Taytulla in order for my menstrual cycle to shorten and mainly for my cramps to get better. My cramps got so bad, to the point I had to miss school every cycle for the first 2-3 days. My cycles would also last 8-10 days. The first two months I was on Taytulla, my cramps got even worse, but my cycle was only 5 days. For me, it just wasn’t worth it. I would also have terrible mood swings and depression. I hope others will have a better experience with the brand and not suffer like I did."

For Birth Control "This medicine makes me feel horrible. I get horrible depression and anxiety, sometimes I cry for no reason. Mood swings are horrible and are affecting my relationship. I don’t want to do anything other than be in bed and cry. Cramps are horrible, I get really bad migraines and loss of appetite. For me, it's been the worst experience ever. I gained some weight, I just feel worthless."

For Birth Control "HORRIBLE!! My ob-gyn offered this to help regulate my irregular menstrual cycle - I have had to call off work for how bad my cramps were and how depressed and anxious I have been. I wasn't sure it was the pill till I googled the reviews. Kicking myself for not doing it before. I woke up last night gasping for air and in a sweat, panicked and crying. Considered all my pills trashed!!!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Taytulla for over 4 years now. The first 3 months I had cramping and used a heating pad a lot. It did its job of preventing pregnancy. It regulated my period for the most part, although there were some months I didn’t get it at all or it would be super light. However, I am having to switch birth control pills because I have had breakthrough bleeding in between my periods for the past year to two years. Other than that, my weight fluctuations have been the same, my libido has been great, and my mood has been stable. At the end of the day, it did its job with some minor side effects."

For Birth Control "I know there are a lot of bad reviews on this birth control, but I wanted to share my mostly positive experience for those concerned. When I first started Taytulla, I got the worst cystic acne, worse than I have ever had in my life. This lasted for about 3 months while my body adjusted, but now my skin has cleared up and I barely have breakouts anymore. I also just have spotting now instead of the awful crippling cramps and excessive bleeding I used to have before. Sure, there are downsides, but no pill is perfect. I honestly enjoy this birth control and I hope others have good experiences as well."

For Birth Control "My cramps are worse, and I’ve been bleeding for 2 weeks-not even being on my period. I’ve been having frequent mood swings, often finding myself snapping at people or being more angry. Can’t wait to switch my pill."
