For Birth Control "Everybody is different, and I’m not saying this is a bad pill, it just didn’t work for me. I’m hoping this review can ease some other girls’ minds who are experiencing the same thing as me. I was put on this pill because my insurance no longer covered my usual brand, Junel Fe, and was told Larin was “the same thing, just different packaging.” 3-4 days into the pack, I started getting nauseous and anxious every day. I would gag at the smell of certain things, and my breasts hurt. I was convinced I was pregnant, which made my anxiety skyrocket. Turns out Larin Fe did its job preventing pregnancy, but the side effects were terrible. I threw up for the first time since being on this pill today and will be stopping immediately."

For Birth Control "I have been very happy with Junel. This is the 1st pill I have taken without horrible side effects. I experienced slight nausea and cramping on day 2, but that's gone away. I have a slightly elevated hunger level, so I have needed to be conscious of food intake. No bloating, spotting, or weight gain. My libido has increased and my acne cleared up."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill, Larin Fe 1/20, since March of 2020, and it's the first pill I've ever used as a contraceptive. Initially, I experienced terrible waves of nausea while on it, alongside nightmarish mood swings that would leave me absolutely depressed and near-suicidal over the smallest things. Nearly 7 months later, though, almost none of these symptoms exist. My mood swings are occasional and far easier to handle, and I have no nausea. Furthermore, this birth control made my period much lighter and shorter, which is a huge plus for me. It's been wonderful at keeping me from getting pregnant despite having had unprotected sex a number of times while on it. Ultimately, this pill works differently for everyone, and hopefully, many who use it in the future will have the same overall successes that I have had with it."

For Birth Control "I've been on this for almost 3 months now, it's the first birth control pill I've taken. My periods are crazy short, only about 3-4 days, and it's very light bleeding. I don't have cramps, but I am VERY moody. I cry and get mad over insignificant things. My breasts have swollen a little bit. It hasn't affected my weight much at all. One thing I don't like is the mint flavor. After two months, it gets really annoying, and it starts to taste bad. The first day I took it, I got nauseous, but that was it. I've also experienced an increased sex drive, not decreased."

For Birth Control "I had severe cramping and bled for 21 days. My period before this birth control was only 4 days. I have taken myself off. The 21-day period, the heavy clots, the nausea, and irritable state just was not worth it."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Junel Fe 1/20 for 9 years and loved it, never had a single issue on it even when I first started. Then my pharmacy gave me Larin and lied, saying it just switched names. I stupidly trusted them and took it. I’ve been on it for 2 weeks now, and for the past two weeks, I’ve had no appetite, and when I force myself to eat, I feel like I’m going to throw up the entire time and can maybe get a couple bites down. My depression and anxiety have gotten 10x worse, and I go from okay to extremely angry within seconds. This birth control switch has been the only thing to change in my life, and after reading other women’s reviews with the same exact story, I know it’s 100% the Larin. I know everyone reacts differently to meds, but be cautious and aware of your symptoms while taking this pill. I’ve never been this miserable and depressed in my life."

For Birth Control "So I myself freak out and read all these reviews, and that’s why I stayed off of birth control for like 7 years and have continued to suffer from PCOS (hope it’s not endo, but we’ll see with time hopefully), and I finally did it and took the pill! I had no choice really. I had a severely painful ovarian cyst pop after sex (not my first time), and I decided it was enough of going to the hospital and suffering. I started this pill a week ago, and I’ll update as much as I can. So far, I had some foggy days in the beginning and felt pretty weird, but then it went away, and the nausea has been on and off (which they say is normal). I do drink a lot of herbal tea already, so that has probably been helping it (peppermint, etc.), and now my only complaints are this random brown discharge today (first time, kinda) and itchy/burning bumps/pimples that keep popping up everywhere the past few days. I do have sensitive skin already, but I hope I get used to this pill. I am on the second week! Will report back soon."

For Birth Control "My OBGYN prescribed this specific pill for me because I haven’t been on birth control since I was 19 (I’m 25 now). He said it would be easygoing for me because it’s basically the mildest form of BC I can take. My first month on the pill was rough, I felt so nauseous, especially the hour before I’m supposed to take my BC. I had constant headaches & tender breasts (the doctor warned me of that & said it should subside after the 1st month, it didn’t). My breasts grew after the 2nd month on the pill, but my anxiety also heightened. I had 3 panic attacks during my 2nd month. I was thankful that my period was lighter. Haven’t had sex since I’ve been on the pill, I’d say it has lowered my sex drive only because it’s made me so depressed, anxious, and forgetful that I don’t even think about sex. I’m too moody. The 3rd month was awful and I hit a real low, I’ve become more critical of myself and unhappy with everything in my life."

For Birth Control "Look, you're going to read all of these 'DON'T TAKE THIS PILL' reviews, and the truth of the matter is you don't know until you try it. Everyone's body is different and will react differently to medication. So, don't let these bad reviews scare you away. Try it, if you don't like it, you can change it. Now to my review. I got this pill as a trial to see if I liked it. I ended up loving it. I had very few side effects. I think the most I had was a headache and nausea. Oh, and about 2 weeks of breakthrough bleeding. But of course, my insurance doesn't cover it... If it did, I wouldn't be switching. The only crap thing about it is the price if it's not covered by insurance, which is $171."

For Birth Control "So far, this is the best birth control I've ever taken, and I've tried A LOT! I just finished the first pack and had barely any spotting. Actually, super light spotting started last Sunday. My breasts did kind of get fuller, though. A little tenderness, but not nearly as much as I had predicted. I sometimes feel nauseous, but it goes away shortly after. I have noticed I'm a bit more tired, but other than that, there aren't really any side effects. I would advise you to take the pill at the exact same time and take it in the evening. This will minimize the side effects. Hope this helps."

For Birth Control "This was my first birth control, and I had a horrible experience. The first few days were fine, and then all of a sudden, my whole face and chest broke out. I’ve always had acne, but this was next-level acne that didn’t go away. I also experienced horrible anxiety and nausea. I was constantly nervous, and sometimes the anxiety and nausea would wake me up at night for hours at a time. I have a history of anxiety, so maybe I’m more prone to having panic attacks, but before going on this medication, my anxiety was under control, and I had no panic attacks a few months prior. A few days after stopping the medication, my acne cleared, I gained back my appetite, and I was no longer having panic attacks. Everyone’s experience was different, but mine was very bad with this medication."

For Birth Control "This pill is the worst. I was switched from Vienva to Blisovi about two months ago. The first period I had on it lasted maybe 2 days and was very light. I didn’t even have another period this month, so I’ve been stressing that I’m pregnant, but I’ve taken many tests, and they’re all negative. Between last month and this month, I had mysterious bleeding for about a week. I feel nauseous most of the time, extremely fatigued, depressed, and I’ve noticed my anxiety has gotten worse. I had it before, but I felt like I was getting better, especially socially, but it’s just getting worse now. I’ve lost interest in a lot of things because I have no energy, no matter how much I sleep. My acne has gotten worse on the lower half of my face near my mouth and chin. I’m going to switch back to Vienva soon, so hopefully I will feel better. I’m not myself. I strongly think it is this pill."

For Birth Control "I started taking Aurovela Fe 1/20 a month ago (Sep 2021), and the reviews scared me at first, but so far my side effects have been small pimples on my cheek and forehead, nausea like once a week, and like 2 days where I randomly felt sad and started crying out of nowhere lol. That’s it. This is my first time ever taking birth control, and I mainly got it because of my really heavy periods and TERRIBLE cramps. I started my period 3 days ago, and so far it’s been lighter, and I got very, very light cramps the first 2 days to where they were manageable, and I didn’t need to take any pain relievers. But just keep in mind that everyone reacts differently to these types of things, especially if your doctor or pharmacy switched you from a high dose BC to a low dose BC (which would be Aurovela). As for the pimples, I use Curology, so that’s been helping me, and I drink some ginger ale whenever I get nauseous. I hope my review helped!"

For Birth Control "I was prescribed this medication to ease the effects caused by my uterine fibroids (extremely heavy periods with large clots, having to change a super tampon plus a thick pad every two hours, irregular cycles, pain from head to toe). I am not using this medication for birth control, as I am not sexually active. Prior to taking this medication, I had been off hormonal birth control for about four years. Unfortunately, this medication is not helping me, aside from clearing up most of my hormonal acne! My periods are still heavy but now last two to three times longer with constant spotting and discharge of old blood in between. I have intense bouts of nausea and dizziness, along with headaches, diarrhea, complete loss of energy and motivation, and moderate pain everywhere. I've never experienced side effects this bad from birth control before."

For Acne "I have taken Lo Loestrin 24 for about 2 months now. I have had migraines, nausea, and fatigue nonstop. I only had one very light period since I started this pill. I have had horrible face and body acne since I started Loestrin, I feel 16 again! I have had a significant appetite increase and midsection bloating. However, I will continue with it one more month and see if my symptoms clear up."

For Birth Control "I've been on Microgestin for almost three months now; I switched over from Previfem. During the first month or so, my sex drive decreased a bit, and I was nauseated in the morning sometimes. I did notice some mood swings, too. Since I've been on it for a while, though, the symptoms have let up. My withdrawal bleeds only last for about 3-5 days, and they're light. I do have backaches and cramps periodically throughout my cycle, but they're manageable with a little ibuprofen. My breasts swell a bit and get sore around my placebo week, but that's not really a big deal. Overall, I'm happy with Microgestin. I haven't gotten pregnant, so that's awesome, and the side effects are minimal. Also, my skin is looking good!"

For Menstrual Disorders "I've been on this for two cycles, and I hardly have any side effects! No weight gain or nausea like some others have experienced on it. I'm a little more sensitive and get more upset over things, but overall, it's been great. Just keep yourself in check and remember that you're on hormones when you start getting overly sensitive. I would recommend this."

For Birth Control "I started this pill about 7 months ago. The first month, I was very moody. This went away by my second month. I've had mostly light periods that last 3-4 days, about two heavy periods, and these last two months, I've had hardly a period at all. I don't particularly like this because you can't tell if you're pregnant or not, but after reading all these reviews, it seems quite common. I am a perfect user, and when I'm not, breakthrough bleeding occurs. I would suggest taking this pill at night to combat nausea during the first month. Breast tenderness also occurred in the first month or so. No weight gain or appetite change. Cramps are lighter. My acne cleared up by month six. My sex drive and wetness are a bit lower, but nothing some lubricant can't fix."

"If you suffer from mental health issues like depression or anxiety, don't take Junel Fe. I started this a couple of months ago to slow down my endometriosis bleeding and pains from it. Well, the past few weeks I've been in a horrible state of mind. Dark thoughts, life doesn't seem worth living, high anxiety, and irritability. Yes, it has slowed down my bleeding, but I'm also experiencing vaginal dryness and nausea, too. So I'm stopping this now. I already suffer from mental illness, and this made it a thousand times worse. I'm glad I looked at these reviews because I was wondering why I was feeling like this all of a sudden. Hope I helped someone else who is going through the same."

For Birth Control "As a 21-year-old woman, I’ve taken this pill for some four years now after becoming sexually active and truly have had little to no problems. I exercise about 4 times a week and don’t have the best diet given my age. But while on this pill, I have stayed the same weight, give or take 5 lbs depending on my diet and exercise. I never had acne-prone skin, even in my teens, but the pill didn’t make it worse. I never had headaches, nausea, or other common side effects. My period was always pretty light with minimal cramping, and after taking this pill for some years now, I haven’t gotten my period in maybe two years. IT IS AWESOME. My insurance even covers it so that it’s free for me. The only con with this pill is my lowered sex drive (though I was never really an animal anyway) and vaginal dryness. Definitely would recommend."

For Menstrual Disorders "I got my tubes tied about 8 months ago, and it ruined me. Extremely painful heavy periods. I mean to the point where I could not walk. Painful ovulation, and for the first time ever--- my skin broke out like a teenager. I have never, ever had skin issues. My doctor put me on hormone therapy. Started with Junel, but that did nothing. My insurance changed it to Microgestin, and I was a little apprehensive. I started taking it to try it out, and I love it! My skin cleared up in a matter of a week, no weight gain, no mood swings, and very light periods! It did make me nauseous at first, but that went away. It also increased my breast size a bit. I read the reviews and was nervous to try it, but I must say, I love it!"

For Birth Control "I have not had a good experience with this BC pill. I took it for one month, and I felt horrible. My side effects were nausea, migraines, constant hunger, depression, bloated, brain fog, and many more awful feelings. I can't believe people are allowed to prescribe this to females. I get that everyone is different with different medicine, but after reading some reviews, it seems like a lot of ladies are having the same results as I am. Do not take this unless you have taken this before and have had no problems."

For Birth Control "I was so nervous reading the reviews, but I've had a great experience so far! My last prescription made me so nauseous I had to stop mid-pack (it was my first birth control experience too). I was scared to try Junel Fe, but I really love it so far! I've been more bloated than usual, and my boobs have been sore, but other than that I am okay! Been taking it at night to reduce nausea, and that's been helpful, but sometimes I'll get a little dizzy during the day. Usually doesn't last long and I can resume normal activities!"

For Birth Control "I will say that the shorter and lighter periods were great; and with my insurance, it was $45 for a 3-month supply. However, since I started taking it two months ago, I've gained almost 10 lbs, have been nauseous, dizzy, feverish, cranky, and have had breast tenderness and insomnia. Two months of feeling pregnant and sick, and I called my doctor to put me on something else. Glad it worked for others... wish it had worked for me too."
