For Birth Control "Do not take this birth control! It is a nightmare! The first couple of months on Blisovi 24 Fe were fine, but starting around month 6, I was so depressed, wanted to sleep all day, not motivated. Horrible mood swings, no sex drive at all! The worst acne I have ever experienced! I have never had acne until I started this pill. I have been off this birth control for two days and already feel 100 times better! Find another pill to take because this is not worth it!"

For Birth Control "I took it only four days. Every day after taking the pill, I would start breaking down crying for four hours at a time and feeling so anxious. My stomach would knot up. I felt so sick, like how I did when I was pregnant. I felt so depressed and sad to where I felt kind of like homesick in a way because I felt so uneasy and anxious. Even though I was at home, where I feel so comfortable. I couldn’t even sneeze without feeling like I was going to vomit. I’ve felt severe depression to where I didn’t feel happy with anything at all. I felt so tired all the time, even after having plenty of sleep. Full-on breakdowns for hours upon hours. Suicidal thoughts, which I have never had before. I do have anxiety, but it is super mild. Thought I was going crazy until I saw these reviews. I decided to leave a review on my experience. It was so bad to the point where I refuse to go on any birth control ever again. I would rather be pregnant again, to be honest, and this was only after four days! Imagine taking this for months... don’t do it, please."

For Birth Control "The 1st month on Junel Fe 1/20 was fine, and the only side effect was breakthrough bleeding. 2nd month, I had a panic attack where I experienced disassociation (I have never experienced anything close to this before) and intense anxiety. I figured that it was just the result of dehydration and stress, but in retrospect, I should’ve considered that my birth control may have been the cause. 3rd month, I felt anxious, extremely depressed & hopeless, and had no appetite. I had times of disassociation, which was frankly terrifying. This is not like me. Towards the end of my 3rd month, I decided to stop taking birth control. I am four days off of it and have started to feel a bit better. My doctor told me that these symptoms stem from birth control. I suggest considering different options if you have a history of mental health issues. I know everyone’s body reacts differently, so this is just my experience. I am sending you all love & sincerely hope this birth control works for you."

For Birth Control "I started on Sprintec and had a horrible experience. I was having 2-3 periods a month, and my whole body itched. So I switched to Lo Lo per my Dr. I’m halfway through the first pack and yes, there have been some side effects. My sex drive has not changed at all. No acne. No migraines thus far. No breakthrough bleeding. However, there have been like two days where I was majorly depressed, but that was while I was on my period, so it could have been hormone-related. As of now, I haven’t had any more depression. Don’t listen to the bad reviews. People who review it badly, well, it just wasn’t for them. Just like Sprintec wasn’t for me at all. BC is a waiting game of finding what’s right, and so far this one is definitely right for me!"

For Birth Control "Do NOT take this birth control. I’ve been having my period for a month (which is normal when taking BC because it will eventually regulate). I have only been taking this for a month and a half. I have never been more depressed in my whole life. Crying three times a day. Extreme suicidal thoughts and fits of rage that I have never experienced. Thankfully, I have a very patient boyfriend who knew this might be the side effects of the medicine, but I would seriously try any other birth control rather than this one. For some people, it worked well, but I feel like it is a hit or miss. Definitely a miss for me. Just this morning I almost checked myself into a hospital because I was so sick of these deteriorating thoughts. I feel like I have no control over my mind. I’m getting it switched ASAP tomorrow morning, but please take this into consideration before you start taking this poison. I would not wish how I feel right now on my worst enemy."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Junel Fe 1/20 for 9 years and loved it, never had a single issue on it even when I first started. Then my pharmacy gave me Larin and lied, saying it just switched names. I stupidly trusted them and took it. I’ve been on it for 2 weeks now, and for the past two weeks, I’ve had no appetite, and when I force myself to eat, I feel like I’m going to throw up the entire time and can maybe get a couple bites down. My depression and anxiety have gotten 10x worse, and I go from okay to extremely angry within seconds. This birth control switch has been the only thing to change in my life, and after reading other women’s reviews with the same exact story, I know it’s 100% the Larin. I know everyone reacts differently to meds, but be cautious and aware of your symptoms while taking this pill. I’ve never been this miserable and depressed in my life."

For Birth Control "I want to break down in tears right now because after reading all these reviews, I know I’m not alone. My pharm switched me to Blisovi after Microgestin, and my depression and anger are THROUGH THE ROOF. My anger is hurting other people so bad that I’m seeking anger management. Maybe I should save myself the money and just stop taking this pill because it has to be the problem."

For Birth Control "I took Taytulla for around 8 months and honestly have no idea how I did it for that long. I went from Minastrin to Taytulla due to insurance issues and had the worst transition. I had severe depression, my anxiety was worse than it already is to the point where I would cry all the time, I had insane mood swings, I was always angry, headaches, acne, which I have never had in my life, and I gained weight. The depression was so bad to the point where I was suicidal. After that, I switched back to Minastrin and my life was so much better. Do not take this!!"

For Birth Control "My OBGYN prescribed this specific pill for me because I haven’t been on birth control since I was 19 (I’m 25 now). He said it would be easygoing for me because it’s basically the mildest form of BC I can take. My first month on the pill was rough, I felt so nauseous, especially the hour before I’m supposed to take my BC. I had constant headaches & tender breasts (the doctor warned me of that & said it should subside after the 1st month, it didn’t). My breasts grew after the 2nd month on the pill, but my anxiety also heightened. I had 3 panic attacks during my 2nd month. I was thankful that my period was lighter. Haven’t had sex since I’ve been on the pill, I’d say it has lowered my sex drive only because it’s made me so depressed, anxious, and forgetful that I don’t even think about sex. I’m too moody. The 3rd month was awful and I hit a real low, I’ve become more critical of myself and unhappy with everything in my life."

For Birth Control "I have been on six different birth controls, from the shot to different pills, and have always had bad side effects. I have been on Lo Loestrin Fe for a month now, and I love it! My hormones are balanced out, no mood swings, no depression, no weight gain, nothing. I think I'm actually losing weight, and I feel great. The only downfall is I have been spotting a little bit, and my breasts are tender, my mood is a little off the week before my period. Other than that, no complaints! If you have had trouble with birth control like me, I advise you to try this. I have gotten severe depression, weight gain, and everything else from other birth controls. If you get a green card from Planned Parenthood, this pill is free!"

For Birth Control "After reading many of the reviews on the BC, I've concluded the three things common in most people are mood swings, depression, and loss of sex drive. I'm 29, I've been on this pill for four months, and all of these are true for me. No interest in sex at all, my boyfriend gets on my nerves all the time, and I cry pretty much every other day for no reason. What differs from me in most reviews, I have not had a period at all since I started taking it (DR says it's fine, but I'm not sure how I feel), I didn't get acne (didn't really have a problem to begin with), and I gained weight so my pants barely fit (mostly in the stomach area. May be bloating?). I feel my depression and moodiness are getting worse, so I think it's time for a change."

For Acne "This is the worst birth control pill I've ever taken. It gave me the worst acne ever. I was super moody. Mood swings, depression, frustration, headaches, and everything. Maybe the only good thing about it was that it made my cramping go away, and my periods were very light and short. Other than that, I hate it! It was the worst experience ever. I tried to give it some time so my body could get used to it, but after 7 months there were no changes, so I decided to switch to another brand. Now I am taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo and I love it. My acne went away right away and my face is so clear. I have no more mood swings and I just love it. I recommend this brand to everyone."

For Birth Control "This pill is the worst. I was switched from Vienva to Blisovi about two months ago. The first period I had on it lasted maybe 2 days and was very light. I didn’t even have another period this month, so I’ve been stressing that I’m pregnant, but I’ve taken many tests, and they’re all negative. Between last month and this month, I had mysterious bleeding for about a week. I feel nauseous most of the time, extremely fatigued, depressed, and I’ve noticed my anxiety has gotten worse. I had it before, but I felt like I was getting better, especially socially, but it’s just getting worse now. I’ve lost interest in a lot of things because I have no energy, no matter how much I sleep. My acne has gotten worse on the lower half of my face near my mouth and chin. I’m going to switch back to Vienva soon, so hopefully I will feel better. I’m not myself. I strongly think it is this pill."

For Birth Control "I have not had a good experience with this BC pill. I took it for one month, and I felt horrible. My side effects were nausea, migraines, constant hunger, depression, bloated, brain fog, and many more awful feelings. I can't believe people are allowed to prescribe this to females. I get that everyone is different with different medicine, but after reading some reviews, it seems like a lot of ladies are having the same results as I am. Do not take this unless you have taken this before and have had no problems."

For Birth Control "It's crazy to me that there are so many good reviews because this pill was bad for me! Every body is different, and we all react differently... but I definitely did not have a good experience with this one. I've been on and off many other birth controls but never reacted to any like I did to this one. Within a week, I was a deranged, emotional roller coaster of a mess... cried over nothing for no reason, randomly, and couldn't control it, almost ended my then three-year relationship... depression to the max. Immediately asked my Dr. to take me off it, and within a couple of days, I was back to normal. So crazy how much hormones can mess with you! You just have to find the right combination that works for your body."

For Birth Control "After many years on Lo Loestrin, I started to experience break-through bleeding, so my doctor switched me to Junel, and then my pharmacy switched me to Aurovela. This was several months ago, and they have been some of the worst months of my life. I've always had anxiety, but I've never experienced this level of anxiety and depression before. My mood has been all over the place, and I've generally just felt horrible (low energy, frequent nausea, etc.). A couple of days ago, I ended up in the ER with dangerously high blood pressure (I've never had problems with blood pressure and have always run low). The switch to Aurovela occurred right when the symptoms started, but I had experienced some major life changes around the same time, so it was only recently that I realized everything I've been experiencing is due to this medication. After seeing these reviews and doing some research, I am certain this pill is responsible for everything I've been going through, and I will be stopping this birth control immediately."

For Birth Control "I've been on Generess Fe for roughly 5 months, and I'm still experiencing bad nausea. I have also noticed weight gain (probably around 10-15 lbs within the first couple of weeks), my breasts are constantly tender, and I'm depressed and tired much of the time. I have an appointment to switch my birth control."

For Birth Control "The week before Thanksgiving, I started Aurovela. I experienced 24-hour nausea, oversleeping (one day, slept 15 hours!). I could not keep my eyes open for anything. I was vomiting 2-3 times a day, usually only stomach acid or water because I couldn't keep food down. I had cold sweats, and my entire body was achy. Worst out of all of this was my anxiety and depression. I don't remember the last time my anxiety was as bad as it was. It was terrifying. I had initially thought I may have had food poisoning. During my second week, I was examining everything that could be contributing to my being sick, the only one thing was the birth control. My doctor stopped me immediately, told me to wait until my next menstrual cycle, and then she gave me a lower dose. I was very skeptical, and for good reason. I started it 3 days ago and am already experiencing the same symptoms. I will contact her and discontinue use. The increase in anxiety and depression was surely the worst part of it all. Be aware."

For Birth Control "Before I started this medication, I had read reviews of it, and I was horrified. It's now been a year and four months that I've been on Junel Fe, and I honestly haven't encountered any issues. Before I was on birth control, I was depressed, had anxiety attacks very often, always tired, had my period for at least six days, and had a lot of cramping. I never had any issues with having acne. Ever since I started, I feel like a whole new person. Zero anxiety attacks, no longer depressed, very light periods that last three days (at most), no cramping at all, and still no issues with acne. I constantly see reviews that other people leave saying that they're constantly nauseous or having headaches or gaining weight, but I personally haven't had any of these issues. Although this medication doesn't work well for some people, it works perfectly for me! Don't let other reviews discourage you. I almost didn't start using this medication due to the bad reviews I had read. I'm also glad I'm not pregnant."

For Birth Control "Because of the timing of starting this birth control and everything going on in my life, it took me a while to catch on to the side effects of this pill. While on it, I was way more anxious and depressed than I’ve felt in a long time. The week before my period, I’ve never really been the super emotional type, but on this pill, I was unrecognizable. I was extremely depressed and emotional, blew up fights with my boyfriend, and just generally acting crazy. Looking back at how I acted, it’s like I’m not even looking at myself. When I finally thought back to when that started, I realized it was when I started this pill. While the pill didn’t cause any weight gain or other negative side effects for me, my mental state was in a very dark place on these. Because I was on it so long, I can say that these side effects don’t eventually go away, they just get worse. With all the other options out there, I could not recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill, Larin Fe 1/20, since March of 2020, and it's the first pill I've ever used as a contraceptive. Initially, I experienced terrible waves of nausea while on it, alongside nightmarish mood swings that would leave me absolutely depressed and near-suicidal over the smallest things. Nearly 7 months later, though, almost none of these symptoms exist. My mood swings are occasional and far easier to handle, and I have no nausea. Furthermore, this birth control made my period much lighter and shorter, which is a huge plus for me. It's been wonderful at keeping me from getting pregnant despite having had unprotected sex a number of times while on it. Ultimately, this pill works differently for everyone, and hopefully, many who use it in the future will have the same overall successes that I have had with it."
