For Birth Control "I'm on my 7th month of this pill, and it has been great. The first month was a little rocky, I broke out a lot and had really bad anxiety and depression, but it went away after the first month! Everything has been good from there. My periods are SUPER light and last 3-4 days. They used to be heavy and last up to 7 days. I also rarely get cramps anymore, and when I do, they are bearable. It hasn’t affected my sex life, and I’ve always been anxious/depressed, but this pill hasn’t made it worse. Also, not pregnant! So it works."

For Birth Control "This birth control is the worst thing that's ever happened to me. I started taking it as soon as I started my sophomore year of college, and I have never been more anxious and depressed in my life. I have panic attacks, nausea, weight loss, heart palpitations, “brain fog,” my vision has been blurry, and I get dizzy a lot, the list could honestly go on. These symptoms started within the first week of taking this pill, and I also missed my last period, and I'm not pregnant. Avoid this birth control at ALL costs!!!!!"

For Birth Control "I've been on birth control for about 10 years and never had any noticeable side effects. I started Aurovela around Dec 20, 2020, my insurance switched me automatically when Junel was no longer available. Within 2 weeks, my mental health deteriorated. I would cry all day, was unable to get much done at work, lost interest in nearly everything. I was diagnosed with depression for the first time in my life. I had been able to manage my stressors related to work and the pandemic okay, and suddenly in early January 2021, it felt like that ability was taken away. I really can't help but wonder if this drug has something to do with it."

For Menstrual Disorders "I have been on Microgestin 1/20 for about three weeks now, and the side effects were not shy. The first two days, I had bad migraines, the third and fourth, I had cramps, and the fifth to seventh day, I was extremely depressed. I cried over almost everything and anything. Starting the second week, it seemed like things were going okay until I started bleeding, and it hasn't stopped. Isn't that the whole purpose? I got over my period two and a half weeks ago, and now I'm getting it again, and there are no signs of it stopping anytime soon. The good thing is I don't have mood swings or anything anymore, but this excessive bleeding is now the problem."

For Birth Control "I've been on Microgestin for 2 months now, and I'm loving it. It took me 2.5 years to find a hormonal birth control method that worked for me. While on a different pill, I was having problems with suicidal thoughts and depression, along with massive mood swings and breast tenderness. I was ready to quit hormonal birth control altogether, but decided to give this one a try first. I haven't been having any negative symptoms, I'm very, very happy to have found this. I only wish I could have found Microgestin sooner."

For Birth Control "This is my first month of using this birth control. I haven't had a period yet. I'm broke out in bad acne, having mood swings and depression, which I don't like. I stay angry at everybody. I'm on my last week of the pill. I'll never take this pill again."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Larin Fe 1/20 birth control for about 4-5 months. I have sex about 3-5 times a week, if not more, and I know it’s supposed to be very effective in preventing pregnancy. However, since I’ve been taking this one, it has been making me miss periods and scaring me, having me nervous that I’m pregnant. I haven’t had my period last month, and the month before I got my period for the first time since a month. Hopefully I get it this month. I also have been crazy emotional and depressed almost every day and HORRIBLE mood swings. I get aggravated over little things, then perfectly fine the next. But it is different for everyone."

For Birth Control "Ever since I started taking Junel Fe, I’ve been having mood swings, and I would get really irritated easily and emotional at times. It's only been a month, and I am going to stop taking it. I know I should give it more time to work, but I cannot deal with the dark thoughts. I’m anxious more and feel depressed. My mental health is more important than this."

For Birth Control "My experience with this pill was horrible. The first month was fine besides some nausea and minor weight gain (mostly in breasts). By the second pack, I was an emotional wreck. All my underlying depression and PTSD came back tenfold. I cry all the time, and I never used to cry. My anxiety is horrible-and it had been under control before I started this pill. I started taking it because I have PCOS and hadn’t had a period in 10 months. I will say it did regulate my cycle, and I haven’t had any skin issues, cramps, or migraines... but wow, nothing would make this pill worth it."

For Birth Control "Okay, so this is my experience with Nortrel 1/35. (Meaning my body reacts differently than yours on this birth control.) So I got on this BC because of the Depo. I was bleeding nonstop for 5 months. My gyno prescribed me this since it was a high dose and was sure my bleeding would stop. It definitely worked as it should. I stopped bleeding, and I get my period at the end of the month. My period now only lasts 3/4 days instead of 7/8 from before I took any type of birth control. Now the cons of this: my mood is horrible. I cry for any little thing, everything bothers me. It even affected my relationship. If you’re currently depressed and have anxiety, I do not recommend it. I have never felt so low about myself. It’s emotionally and mentally exhausting."

For Birth Control "This birth control destroyed my mental state. After being on it for a month, I started to spiral into depression and suicidal thoughts, no interest in the activities I used to love, like doing art or going on adventures. I would go into a rage or break down sobbing over the smallest things. Hot flashes all the time, breaking out on my chin and nose. I hate this birth control so much. I'm now off it, and I'm never taking the pill again because of this experience. I'll be finding an alternative BC."

For Birth Control "Would not recommend! This is my first birth control, and I’ve been on it for 3 months. I take the pill every day without skipping any days, and I have non-stop breakthrough bleeding. I started this pill to prevent pregnancy, but honestly, what’s the point if I can’t even have sex because I’m constantly bleeding? I’m also having terrible mood swings. I cry almost every day and have been feeling very depressed."

"I love Junel. I was switched to Junel after my previous birth control had me bleeding for 3 weeks at a time every month, and I got really depressed and gained a bunch of weight. Now I am on Junel, and I LOVE IT. I have lost 10 pounds, my headaches and acne are gone, my depression has decreased, no more fatigue, and I have yet to have a heavy period. I only have 3 days of light spotting, and I must say my sex drive has finally come back since my last birth control completely diminished it."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for 3 months now, and I just stopped it two days ago. I had a pregnancy scare because of the side effects that this pill will give you. It will literally make you feel like you're 1 or 2 months pregnant without actually having a human inside of you. It made me nauseous for the 3 months total, moody (like incredibly), bloated, veiny around the nipples, tender breasts, really sensitive nipples (if I was wearing a bra and a shirt and I slightly rubbed something against them, it would hurt), felt depressed, fatigue, and it even looked like I was 3 months pregnant! I'm not going to say that I don't recommend this pill because everyone reacts differently, but this one obviously did not work out for me."

For Birth Control "I am almost through my third month of Junel Fe, and I feel a lot better than I did when I was taking Taytulla. On Taytulla, I developed a phobia, had anxiety attacks regularly, and experienced the worst depression of my life! After taking a year off from birth control, I am taking this, and my periods are very light, my cramps are not as painful, my acne is GONE, and no depression and minimal anxiety."

For Birth Control "This is far superior to my last pill. I do still suffer from depression and anxiety, but it has not totally mutilated my sex drive like my previous pill did. It is effective, and the side effects are tolerable. I've been on this pill for about a year and have been skipping the inactive pills so that I do not have a period, and it has worked! As far as pills go, I highly recommend Tarina. To whoever is reading this: know that all comments, including mine, are personal reactions to this pill (really this applies to all meds). Don't be scared off from getting the help you need, because everyone's bodies and habits are different, thus rendering different results."

For Birth Control "I have been on a variety of birth control pills for 15 years now, and Junel is by far the worst medication I have ever experienced. Immediately, I experienced severe mood swings and depression. I stayed on Junel for 2 months, but nothing ever improved. 3 years later, a new doctor accidentally prescribed Junel to me, and I decided to try it again. Again, immediate mood swings, depression, etc."

For Birth Control "I feel compelled to write a review after my horrible experience with this drug, Junel Fe 1/20. I’ve taken it for a year and have just stopped. The first month, I was plagued with intense nausea and headaches, which subsided. After that, I started having severe anxiety, panic attacks, mood swings, crying spells, and chalked it up to several life changes (moving, wedding, etc.). However, my condition worsened, and I was at a therapist weekly who diagnosed me with depression. By this point, I felt like a shell of my former self and decided to stop taking the pill, as it’s the only medication I’m on. I’ve been off for 2 weeks and can see notable differences in my temperament and energy levels. I can’t wait for it to completely flush out so I can be myself again. Please don’t take this drug as long as I did if you face any of the above."

For Birth Control "I was on Junel for two years before my pharmacy switched to Aurovela. Never in my life have I been so depressed for no reason whatsoever. I’ve been experiencing rage issues, which is very unlike me-overly emotional-and then to complete apathy at the flip of a switch. I’m always nauseated and gaining weight despite working out 6 days a week. I’ve never had issues about being down on myself, but here I am absolutely disgusted with every aspect of my body and mind. I feel like I am losing my sanity and will not be starting the new pack."

For Birth Control "The worst!!! Please run away from this pill!! I took this BC for about 7 months, and on the 7th month, I began to feel crazy!!! I began to get severe depression and anxiety! I also would get sudden dark and weird thoughts. This medication made me feel like a complete psychopath! I’m a happy and cool person, but this medication made me feel so irritable. I was angry, I couldn’t sleep and would wake up in the middle of the night. My panic attacks would have me at the most random places crying and begging God to save me. Whatever you do, avoid this medication!!!!"

For Birth Control "Was on this birth control pill for 3 months and had a terrible experience. I've never been a depressed or sad person, but around the 2nd month, I began to feel depressed. I never was happy about things that I normally would be happy about. I just felt sad about nothing, and that is not the kind of person I am. I would break down and cry, sobbing to my boyfriend about how I wasn't happy, but I couldn't tell him why. My boyfriend, who I have been infatuated with for over a year, quickly became annoying to me, and I felt like I wasn't attracted to him anymore. I was falling down the road of depression, so I immediately stopped taking it. I've been off of it for a week and already feel better! Stay away from this pill!"

For Birth Control "I got on these pills to help regulate my periods. Before I started, I used to bleed for a week straight, skip a day, and then bleed another week. It was really annoying, but there was no cramping, just light blood almost every day. About a week after taking Larin Fe, I started feeling extremely depressed, lower self-esteem, I would be crying for absolutely no reason. But along with that, it has made me bleed way more now, where I have to change my tampon nearly every hour and pads around 2 hours. I’ve gotten excruciating cramps and pains so unbearable I will be crying for an hour. I wake up to them in the morning and nights so strong I cannot go back to sleep. I’ve been told to take 2400 mg of ibuprofen daily to help with the bleeding and cramps, but it honestly isn’t enough. I hate feeling like this and I really don’t know what to do."

For Birth Control "I have been on the Lo Loestrin for 4 months now. My last period was extremely light and left me wondering if I had been pregnant. I take my pill regularly and have never missed, but the sudden light period frightened me. I took several tests, which came out negative. However, I have gained at least 10 pounds and have grown a cup size. My breasts are always tender and sore. I have noticed a significant level of depression in my attitude since I started the pill. It has helped with my acne and made my periods lighter with less cramping, but the bloating lasts for the majority of the month and food cravings come often. I am thinking of stopping the use of this pill."

For Birth Control "I started taking this birth control about two weeks ago, and let me tell you, the side effects hit IMMEDIATELY! I have never dealt with anxiety, panic attacks, or depression, and the second I started taking this, I started getting them! I would get so anxious to the point where I would throw up! Mind you, I’ve been on the pill before, I’ve had the injection, and an implant, and while every form of birth control has its side effects, it was NOTHING like this one. Please do not even consider taking this."

For Birth Control "This is a HORRIBLE drug. I’ve been on it for three weeks, but today was my LAST time to take one of these pills. I will never take another one. I have experienced the following: — extreme tiredness, sluggishness, and loss of motivation — anxiety and twitchy muscles — cramps and spotting — increased hunger and weight gain despite exercising and mostly clean eating — increased time for eyes to focus — decreased libido — heart palpitations — general malaise/feelings of being unwell. Blisovi 24 FE is NOT good for your body or your mind. I am very regretful that I let myself ingest this stuff. Now I am quitting cold turkey at the end of the third week, hoping that my body will get back to normal soon. Taking this pill was a gigantic mistake."
