For Birth Control "So far, I have not had any problems on Microgestin Fe 1.5/30 other than I did not have a menstrual cycle on my week off the pill. Prior to taking this, I was on a lower dose of this same med, and I also had Mirena (IUD). I was having constant breakthrough bleeding on those and very heavy bleeding once or twice a month or with sex. Anyone else experience no menstrual cycle? I am waiting to see what happens this month."

For Birth Control "Reading the reviews on Junel 1/20 before I started did put some anxiety into me, but personally speaking, I’m having a pretty good experience with it. For the first 3 months, I did experience some breakthrough bleeding, but this was expected as my body was adjusting to the hormones, and after that, everything has been great. My periods are lighter and shorter, I didn’t go through mood swings, no weight gain, no vaginal dryness, no acne, and (I’m not as active anymore), but no pregnancy as well. So pretty much whatever negative side effects there could have been, I thankfully didn’t get any."

For Birth Control "PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL, I'M BEGGING YOU!! I've been on it for a year now. I used to be this extremely happy girl 24/7 until I got on this pill. I got on it a couple of months after I got with my boyfriend. Before I was on it, my boyfriend and I had a good relationship, I was always laughing and etc. Well, I got on this pill, and all of a sudden, I was a different person. It took me this long to finally realize that it was the Blisovi, and I only did because a friend of mine mentioned it could be my birth control. So, I looked up reviews, and pretty much I was having what everyone else went through. I’m always depressed, I constantly yell at my boyfriend over the littlest things, I’m extremely emotional over the littlest things, anger got worse, anxiety is terrible, I have no sex drive anymore, I’ve only bled 4 out of 12 months while being on this pill. When I did bleed, it was blood clots or either brownish-reddish color, it wasn’t normal. PLEASE DON'T TAKE BLISOVI!!"

For Birth Control "Whenever you start birth control, you're supposed to give it a three-month trial before you determine if it's garbage or not. The reason being is that your body is adjusting to the new birth control, and of course, you're going to experience breakout bleeding, common birth control side effects, and of course, being overly emotional. On the other hand, despite the breakout bleeding and the mood swings I get from time to time, I love Microgestin! It's a reliable birth control if used correctly, so if you're forgetful, forget the pill and find another form of birth control! Within the past nine months I've used it, I had lighter periods, didn't break out as much, and I didn't feel any weight gain. I recommend this product to anyone!"

For Birth Control "Honestly, I read all these comments about how this birth control would make me depressed, gain weight, have horrible mood swings, etc., but I've been taking it for almost 2 months now, and I've had none of these side effects. I really don't see a problem with this oral contraceptive, but yet again we are all different and react differently to medications. My personal experience has been that I did notice breakthrough bleeding within the 2 weeks on the pill, but it only lasted 3 days, and it was very light. I have also read about people not getting their period, but I have gotten mine right on schedule, and it has been very light and basically just spotting. I originally started this pill to lighten my period and cramps, and it has been very effective."

For Birth Control "THE WORST! I’ve been on my period for the last 5 months, and that's how long I’ve been taking Hailey. I take birth control because my periods are so painful and sickening it sometimes puts me in the hospital, so my goal was to stop my periods. I used to take Junel Fe, and that was THE BEST. But I moved, and when my insurance ended, I had to find a new one. The provider told me this was like Junel, but no way it's nothing like it. I’m breaking out. I’m bleeding every day. I’m always feeling bloated and uncomfortable. I've been trying to lose weight, and it’s definitely harder now that I’m on this birth control. I went from losing 3 pounds a month to none at all. I asked my provider for a different birth control because this just ain’t it."

For Birth Control "Hands down, the best birth control I've ever tried. I've been on it all this year, and I have had zero side effects. No bloating, moodiness, breakthrough bleeding, etc. I take it at the same time every day, as it's recommended to do so. I just spot 2-3 days at the end of my cycle. The best part is that it's pantyliner light! Extremely happy that my gyno prescribed me this pill. I've been on the pill since I was 17, I'm 23 now and have tried more than I care to remember. I intend on using Loestrin 24 Fe for years to come!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking this for 2.5 months now and I’m absolutely loving it. I’ve had no negative side effects. I take it continuously so I never have a withdrawal bleed or any shifts in hormone levels from taking the iron/placebo pills. My mood has improved so much since not having a menstrual cycle and no PMS. No weight gain or appetite changes (if anything I have fewer cravings due to no PMS), my hormonal acne (which was out of control prior) has completely cleared, and I am loving life without a period. I’ve never been so happy with a medication and plan to take this for as long as I can. I will note that the initial first 10-14 days were rocky with breakthrough bleeding and moodiness, but I’m so happy I stuck it out. I haven’t had any breakthrough bleeding since then. I also take my pill every night at the same time by alarm and I believe this helps. Will update my review if anything changes."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking this for just over a month, and I actually like it. The first week, I had some nausea, and the second week some bleeding and light cramping that lasted around 8 days. But since then, no side effects. One thing I was worried about was weight gain, but since starting Blisovi 24 Fe, I’ve actually lost around 5 lbs. My period was lighter than it’s ever been, super light. I also had no PMS or period symptoms. Would recommend, but I feel like the experience is different for everyone."

For Birth Control "I've been taking this birth control for a little over 3 months. They told me to give it 3 months and it'll level out everything. Wrong. I have literally been on my period every other week or every week. I take it at the same time every time I'm supposed to, and it just does not work for me. I just ended my period on Sunday, and I started spotting yesterday (Saturday), and today I woke up cramping and bleeding AGAIN. I'm so sick of being on my period. Waiting for a call to switch. Also, last week when I was on it, it literally was as if I didn't even take it. Clots, bad cramps, going 6-7 days. I feel like I've been patient enough. ALSO, I had a terrible migraine for about a month when I started it."

For Birth Control "After experiencing breakthrough bleeding on Tri-Sprintec, my doctor switched me to Junel Fe. The first 2-3 months, I had no side effects and was experiencing normal periods. By the end of month 3, I went off the deep end. My anxiety and paranoia have been so unbelievably horrible for the past 3 weeks, and my skin is the worst it’s been. I’ve never been one to suffer from anxiety or depression, but this pill is no joke ruining my life. My stomach is consistently in knots, my heart never stops racing, and I’ve had to seriously force-feed myself due to not having an appetite. The only time I feel normal is when I’m sleeping. Thank God I came on here and read others' similar experiences because I was ready to check myself into a psych ward. I’m 5 pills into my fourth pack and have to stop taking them. I’d rather have my period for a month straight than take Junel Fe. If you end up trying them, don’t worry, you’re not going psychotic. It’s just these hideous pills!"

For Birth Control "This birth control pill, Junel Fe 24, has been the worst thing that ever happened to my body. My doctor told me that it was going to help with my acne, which I didn't have, it made it worse. Told me the pill would make my sex life more fun. Well, that was the biggest lie on the planet. A few months in, sex became painful. My vag was so dry that it became impossible to have sex without lube. Clitoral sex didn't feel good because it became painful. Because my vag was so dry, I started bleeding after sex. I lost all my sex drive. I was crying and having anxiety attacks every couple of days. I thought my relationship was going down the drain because of this pill. I didn't even feel anything when I was touched by my boyfriend, and I used to feel happy explosions from his touch. I thought I was going crazy. I'll never trust my doctor's opinion again, and I'm doing my own research before I let something do this to my body again because I really hate this feeling. I didn't get pregnant, but I sure paid the price of losing myself."

For Birth Control "I have been on Lo Loestrin Fe for the past 4 years. My gyno prescribed Gildess when I switched health insurance. I was against switching since my skin was clear and I was content with Lo's mild side effects. I am so glad that I did not read user reviews before switching as I probably would have never tried it. Since switching to Gildess BC, I no longer have breakthrough bleeding, my sex drive is improved, no breakouts have occurred (which was a big concern), but the best part is that I've lost the bloated abdomen! I tried everything for the past 4 years to lose my belly roll. Because BC does cause yeast, I stay on a good probiotic, but even that never made my belly flat. Give it at least 3 months for your body to adjust."

For Birth Control "I wanted to write a review because I was researching this pill for my GWS class, and I noticed a lot of people new to the pill experiencing problems. I have been on this pill for 5 years, and while I didn't experience any terrible side effects in the beginning (that I recall), this pill has helped me a lot in 5 years. I originally took it to cure my severe acne, but it also helped with my severe cramps and heavy bleeding. Now, five years later, my skin is the clearest it has ever been, I haven't had a legit cramp in probably two years, and my periods only last about 4 days with minimal bleeding. All in all, I would highly recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "This is probably the pill I'll never take. The first six months were great. I lost weight, had 100% regular periods with no in-between bleeding. Now I've had a good 4 months of non-stop anxiety, paranoia, and depression that wasn't there before. I have also developed bleeding the week before my period is supposed to show up. Definitely switching pills ASAP."

For Birth Control "I'm on my 9th month; just about 40 years old, given to me for severe cramps and horrible bleeding that has worsened over the past 2 years. My daughter is 15 and just started her first pack about 3 weeks ago. She has been sick more days than I can count, not sleeping well, lost 10 pounds, gets lightheaded often, nausea usually in the evening, as well as moody. She's had the breakthrough bleeding just like I did. What I noticed is when we talked is we've both been suffering from the lightheaded feelings quite often at any given time and any place. We both tend to feel tired at the end of most days; headaches and the nausea, as well with the light-headedness, seem to be the worst."

For Birth Control "I will start that I do NOT do well with birth controls. I have tried everything under the sun and have had issues with them all. This has been the best one yet, but that doesn't mean I haven't had issues. The issues have just been a lot less than others. I switched from the patch, which was just all around a nuisance and I hated it. I've loved being on this pill, but about 4 months in, I started bleeding, and not just spotting, full-fledged period, clots, headaches, cramps, acne, and I bled for a month. I DO NOT LIKE THAT. I take BC so I don't have a menstrual. I always skip the placebo. I searched and searched for answers and found nothing, until FINALLY I found one single thread on a forum where somebody said they had the same thing happen and it would happen randomly and it was almost the body's way of forcing you to shed the lining of your uterus, and all she had to do was take the placebo pills for 7 days and then go back to the regular pills and she would stop bleeding. IT WORKED!"

For Birth Control "I started taking Aurovela FE 1/20 on March 12th. It came as a very impulsive decision to seek help for my out-of-control mood swings I would get each month before my cycle. For many years, I just thought I had depression. However, my mother would always tell me to track my feelings around my cycle. Well, I decided to take that chance after another failed relationship. Since I started taking it, I’ve noticed a much better mood and peace of mind. Also, I take the pill continuously. I skip the placebo week and start the next pack. Pretty much, my OBGYN wants to eliminate my cycle. I have experienced breakthrough bleeding, which is normal until my body fully adjusts. I don’t have tender breasts, bloating, or fluid retention like I did before I started the pill. Most of the reviews I’ve read seem to be from others who have taken other pills before starting this. I also take the pill with a small dose of Lexapro for anxiety and depression. I’d give it 10 stars so far."

For Birth Control "I started taking Aurovela after not taking any birth control for a few years. I read these reviews before starting because I am a naturally anxious person about medication side effects, etc., and now I'm on the 2nd week of my fourth pack. It seems like if you transition to it from another pill it can be rough, but starting it fresh (not transitioning) isn't too bad. I had some nausea and was in a very anxious, bad mood for the first couple of weeks, then it evened out. I take it at night right before bed. My symptoms have mostly been PMS at weird times of the month (tender boobs, cravings, irritable) and breakthrough bleeding, but my goal was to alleviate bad cramps, and it has done that. My periods have been so light I have thought maybe I was pregnant, but I saw from other reviews that others have a similar experience. I also have tachycardia, as another reviewer mentioned, and that has gotten more frequent. No weight change or breaking out here in month 4. Hope this helps others!"

For Birth Control "I am 26 years old and very sexually active with my partner. My doctor started me on this pill because of breakthrough bleeding I was having in between periods. I only tried this pill for 2.5 months and did not like it. I had breakthrough bleeding more often than before, extreme fatigue at the start of the 3rd month. I experienced extreme fatigue, dizziness, and normal period-like symptoms: heavy bleeding, painful cramping, and bloating when I wasn't supposed to be having a period. Also, sometime during the 2nd pack of pills, I had a horrible acne outbreak that I couldn't figure out. It was very frustrating that I was having so many in-between periods when that was the reason I started taking the pill."

For Birth Control "I started Lo Lo a month after a partial hysterectomy and cystectomy only to prevent more tumors. The first three months I had several side effects such as loss of appetite, acne, mood swings, and irregular bleeding. By my sixth month, my body adjusted well except I would get my period around the time I should be ovulating or the 2nd week of the pack for around 5 days. I stopped taking Lo Lo because of the irregular bleeding and because it did not help me prevent tumors. I have an 8 cm mass in my ovary. So, I will give Taytulla a chance. Praying all goes well. As with any medication, you have to allow time for your body to adjust. Be strong!"

For Birth Control "I switched to this birth control from Yaz because my periods (although controlled) were still 7-8 days long and heavy. When I switched to this pill, I gained about 8 lbs, was intensely moody, and noticed my hair and skin became extremely oily. I was on it for 4 months, and it only got worse. I had breakthrough bleeding the entire time. The second month I was on it, I bled for 2 weeks straight. It was absolutely miserable. I know birth control affects every person differently, but this was AWFUL for me."

For Birth Control "This was not a good option for me. I began taking Blisovi about 4 years ago because of my heavy periods. It stopped the heavy bleeding, but the side effects were horrible. For me, it took 3 years for me to really notice the side effects, and they seemed to get worse as time passed. I would get headaches about 2 days before and also 2 days after my cycle, along with severe anxiety, and just sad for no reason at all. I had no desire to have sex, and I would get really irritable. After going through about 4 to 5 days of this, the symptoms would just go away, and then would repeat the same cycle of side effects the following month. I spoke with my doctor about this, and he’s taken me off. This was my experience, everyone is different, and for some, this could be your resolution, for me, it just didn’t do it."
