For Birth Control "Horrible. Do not recommend. At all. Save yourself. Just started month 3, and it has been AWFUL. So glad I found this. I've had about every side effect but abnormal bleeding. Haven't been able to have sex for over a month because of vaginal dryness/inability to get wet/loss of interest (just ended month 2 yesterday). Sex was great until this pill! My side effects: major vaginal dryness (going on 3 months), no sex drive/interest/pleasure, breast tenderness/PAIN/enlargement, nausea, headache, bloating, fetal-position cramps, mental changes/mood swings, trouble concentrating, tired/weak ALL of the time, irritable, anxious, discouraged. I could go on. I was starting to question myself, my body, my mind, my relationship, felt like I just could NOT get better. I'm disappointed it took me so long to realize this was the only change. Good thing is I'm not pregnant, but hard to get pregnant when you can't have sex."

For Birth Control "This birth control pill, Junel Fe 24, has been the worst thing that ever happened to my body. My doctor told me that it was going to help with my acne, which I didn't have, it made it worse. Told me the pill would make my sex life more fun. Well, that was the biggest lie on the planet. A few months in, sex became painful. My vag was so dry that it became impossible to have sex without lube. Clitoral sex didn't feel good because it became painful. Because my vag was so dry, I started bleeding after sex. I lost all my sex drive. I was crying and having anxiety attacks every couple of days. I thought my relationship was going down the drain because of this pill. I didn't even feel anything when I was touched by my boyfriend, and I used to feel happy explosions from his touch. I thought I was going crazy. I'll never trust my doctor's opinion again, and I'm doing my own research before I let something do this to my body again because I really hate this feeling. I didn't get pregnant, but I sure paid the price of losing myself."

For Birth Control "This birth control Junel Fe 24 is great, especially for first-timers!! It is really low in progesterone (which is why, sadly, after 3 years of being on it, I have to switch to a higher one due to getting too used to the strength and bleeding more than once a month). BUT my first few years on it, I had a really good experience with Junel Fe. I had a super light period that lasted anywhere from 2-5 days, and I had no cramps or migraines ever. I did not notice any weight gain, and despite other reviews, I think my sex drive was really, really good. In my first year, I did have a lot of discharge, which was kinda annoying, but that is something that became less in my third year (I think it had to do with my reason up above). My only 'con' with this birth control is that emotionally I did notice I was pretty sensitive to silly things (I found a reason to cry about almost anything, ahah), but this was not anything major, and I wish I could continue this birth control if it weren't for the low mg of progesterone :("

For Birth Control "Junel Fe 24 isn't my first birth control I've been on. I was on Lo Loestrin Fe for about 8 months and always had irregular bleeding due to an ovarian cyst. Not sure if the birth control irritated it, or if it was there all along. Anyways, I've now been on Junel Fe 24 for about 3 weeks, and I love it. My acne has cleared up, and my cyst is gone! Definitely don't think I'll be switching anytime soon. I haven't had anything but good symptoms from this birth control."

"First of all, it might or might not work for you. Birth control pills have different effects on people, although quite the same symptoms. For me, it was fine! My ob-gyn doctor prescribed it to me because I didn't have my period for 3-4 months, so it was to regulate my menstrual cycle. It was my first time taking birth control pills in general too. The first time I got my period after taking the pills, it was so heavy. So, so heavy. But that is to be expected since I didn't have my period for months. The next cycle, it lasted for 3 days tops, no cramps or anything of that (although when I had regular periods, I didn't have cramps anyway), and the bleeding was very light. My weight stayed the same tbh, but my mood swings were a little sensitive but I try to channel it through healthy mechanisms. It works fine as preventing pregnancy too, so so far, so good on that."

"Horrible, horrible pill! I am about to finish my first package, and I have been bleeding plus cramps for 20+ days now. My doctor said it's 'breaking through' bleeding, but I never experienced this in my life! Not to mention the horrible cystic pimples all over my jawline. I always had very nice skin, and this pill is causing me to break out so much. I will finish this package and stop this pill. It has been a nightmare."

For Birth Control "OMG, DO NOT TAKE THIS Junel Fe 24 PILL!!! I started this pill, it was going okay, and then suddenly I had no desire for sex at all, which is unlike me because I’ve always had a high sex drive. I told my doctor about it, he was like, that’s okay, that’s a side effect. This pill made sex awful and painful because it made me dry. Therefore, I took it upon myself to stop the pill. Well, now I will not stop bleeding, it’s not just a little blood, it’s heavy, like very heavy bleeding. My doctor told me if I started my pill back, it will stop the bleeding. I refuse to start that pill back, I will just let the bleeding run its course and hopefully, it stops soon because I am finally getting back to my pre-pill sex drive."

For Birth Control "I absolutely hate it. Took it for 1.5 weeks and stopped because I was bleeding, and I still am. It’s been three weeks of bleeding now. I’m miserable. Mood changes (for the worse). Generally feeling more irritable than usual, probably because I haven’t stopped bleeding for three weeks. It’s not worth wrecking your body over. NEVER AGAIN."

For Birth Control "So I’m currently on my fourth month of this pill right now, and I’ve been nonstop bleeding for 3 weeks. I’ve also slightly broken out a little more than usual from this pill. But the 3-week period is insufferable, I’m definitely going to be switching pills."

For Birth Control "I don't like Junel Fe 24 at all. I am towards the end of my first pack, so the past few weeks I’ve been spotting... the entire time. I haven’t started my period yet, but it’s only the first day of me taking the brown pills. I just know once I finish I’m not taking any more. The “breakthrough bleeding” is just too much. I have gone through so many panty liners this month than I have in a year. It’s very inconvenient. I will be calling my ob/gyn and finding something else. Other than that I haven’t had any other symptoms, but I’d rather take those other symptoms over this."

For Birth Control "I was on a form of birth control called Mibelas for 9 years and then started to have slight breakthrough bleeding a few times per month. Dr. switched me to Junel, and it was fine the first month, but then I started having very frequent breakthrough bleeding and cramps over the last 4 months. It’s going to be different for every person, but it’s not great for me. Approaching 50 in a year or so and ready to be done with the pill!!!"

For Birth Control "I have been experiencing breakthrough bleeding every month for the past 4 months, before and after I get my period. My acne has gotten worse, and my cramps are still there. This is by far the worst medication I have ever tried and will be changing soon."

For Birth Control "This - Junel Fe 24 - is my first birth control pill I've taken in my life. I began my pill on the Sunday which was the 5th day of my period. The first week was fine except for nausea and a small breakout on my forehead. Everything was just peachy until the second week of taking these pills, I began having brown breakthrough bleeding ever since, and it has not stopped! It's annoying having to constantly wear and buy panty liners. Hopefully, my body adjusts in time and the bleeding goes away."

For Birth Control "This is by far the worst birth control I’ve been on. At first, everything was fine and I had no side effects. Then, about 6 months in, I began to suffer from severe cystic acne all over my cheeks and chin to the point where I went to the dermatologist to get a prescription to help clear it up because, at that point, Junel Fe had been helping with my periods (I didn’t have one for about 4 months), and I didn’t want to switch yet. None of the medication from the dermatologist has helped, and then I began bleeding for about 2 months. My skin has gotten worse (horrible scarring and painful acne), and it has greatly affected my self-esteem and mood. I am hoping to switch over to something else ASAP. I highly DON'T recommend this one."
