"My doctor prescribed this pill to help reduce my heavy bleeding due to fibroids. I'm on my 2nd month and am very happy with the pill, it has significantly reduced my period flow. I also have anxiety and have noticed this pill has helped with my mood swings. I'm more relaxed and less irritated. I don't get spotting in between periods, and that's a plus."

"I had a severe reaction to this medication. I will never recommend this to anyone! Severe acne all over my face, neck, chest, and back. I gained 6 lbs in the first week, and then 3 more the next week. I had a headache that never went away."

"I've been on Sronyx for about 2 years. It is an incredible birth control for lighter periods and less pain. I have little to no back pain on this pill, and before it, I would have unbearable back pain. I really didn't experience any weight gain or physical changes. However, I noticed that my sex drive dropped completely. I have no sex drive and just have become overall not interested. I also have noticed that I feel almost flat in emotions, as if my emotions are not very happy anymore. When I did try another BC brand, I noticed a significantly higher sex drive and better mood, but had extreme pain on it, so I had to switch back to Sronyx. Sronyx is a great pill, but for me, the flat moods and low sex drive have caused me to search for another brand where I can truly feel myself 100%."

"I'm a 43-year-old black female and have been dealing with fibroids since 2013. I was told that the BCP would stop the bleeding. I would bleed for 90 days at a time and had to be put on iron pills and stool softener. I've been on them for over 4 months. Two days after I started them, I started bleeding. Now I'm about to have a hysterectomy due to going from 1 fibroid to 7. They didn't shrink at all. I got the last 5 in the last year. I did not break out, but did gain a lot of weight. My doctor wanted me to take them for another 12 months. I said to heck with that! Glad to be off these babies."

"I have been taking this pill, Sronyx, for a year now. I had originally started to help regulate my cycle. The first three months were bad! My period was so heavy and a little over 2 weeks long. I asked my doctor for advice, and she told me my body just needed to get used to the pill. So I continued to take it. My periods are about 7-9 days, they still are not predictable, moderate amount of bleeding, however, very painful cramping. I have headaches frequently and have noticed bloating. I also have bad breakouts around the time of my period, like cystic acne. Overall, did not really help me with what I needed, so would not recommend."

"I was prescribed Sronyx due to my prolonged period. On May 7th, I had begun to spot, and that led to a long heavy period until today, June 3rd. I went to my OBGYN on May 28th, confirmed non-pregnancy, and began the BC pills the next day on May 29th. I want to note that I take my pills exactly between 6:30 pm and 7 pm with a meal. On the first day of taking this BC, I noticed a change in my mood, which I had become very relaxed and calm within the first 30 minutes, and fell asleep around 9 pm, to be awakened by sharp painful stomach pains by 2 am and bad gas. TMI: I had diarrhea, but noticed on my maxi pad that my period had restricted to a lighter flow and was no longer bright red. The next day, my flow slowed down to spotting by the end of the night, the same calm mood change as the day before, no stomach pains but noticed some bloating and nausea until I ate more food. I spotted less and less each day until this morning - All Clear :)!! So that marks 5 days for this BC pill to help get my prolonged period under control."

"I am in my early 40s and have been dealing with severely heavy bleeding, fibroids, and endometriosis. I was prescribed Sronyx after a myomectomy I went through in order to help control my bleeding. However, it hasn't worked for me. It's been 7 months since my procedure and although I had lighter bleeding the first couple of months after the procedure, my symptoms have all resurfaced. I am having heavy bleeding once again with cramps, clots, and it lasts for about 9 days. Perhaps I need to try another pill?"

"I have taken this birth control medicine for less than a month, and it SUCKS. My doctor gave it to me to decrease my cramps and to have lighter periods, and I cry all the time about the stupidest things. I've been randomly spotting for about a week now. My cramps are not as bad, but it makes me an emotional mess, and my boobs hurt so bad. Running up and down the stairs is a struggle. I have an increased appetite too, which I soon think will result in weight gain, even though I'm very active. I don't recommend, but everyone is different."

"Cons: Caused me to have a recurrence of cystic acne on my face and acne on my body, terrible mood swings, fatigue beyond belief, worsened depression and anxiety, difficulty eating from nausea, and general vaginal irritation from changed pH. Whenever I would get stressed, I'd spot, often bad enough to ruin underwear and pants. Pros: It kept me from being pregnant and shortened my period from 3 weeks to 5 days. My new OB/GYN immediately swapped me to a new BCP when she saw it last week and told me the dose of hormones in the pill can be harsh on some women, so take with caution. Or just don't take it. It's safer that way."

"Best birth control ever. My doctor prescribed this to me because of heavy bleeding, but I was more interested in the birth control portion of it. I've been on it for 3 months now, the first month and a half, I did break out a little. No more than a pimple or two here or there (I had easy skin to begin with), and only had headaches and nausea the first week or so. No problems with weight gain at all. I'm a fitness freak, so beginning this drug actually worried me. I stand corrected, if anything, my six-pack is far more visible than it was prior to taking Sronyx. Did its job as birth control pretty well, but I still try to use dual protection. Overall pleased, thanks TRICARE."

"Few months on the Sronyx pill, and the only side effects I’ve experienced are headaches during the first 2 months, and that’s it. My period is WAY less heavy and is amazing. I’m still getting cramps, but not as bad as before."

"The first few weeks were kind of bad. I got little bumps on my forehead, but it was under the skin, so you couldn’t really see it unless you touched it. It made me super nauseous, but after that, it was completely fine. A year later, though, my body has changed a lot, so my cramps started coming back, so I am switching. But other than that, it was good."

"This is an update to my review in June. I've now been on Sronyx for 4 months for premature ovarian failure. The first 2 weeks were okay, but severe fatigue and depression hit about a month in, and it took a few weeks to come out of it. I don't love this pill, but it's pretty comparable to most oral BC pills I've tried. The patch has been a better experience for me, but it didn't provide enough hormones given my condition."

"So far, not so good. Have only been taking Sronyx for 22 days (so maybe it gets better after 2-3 months), during which time I experienced the heaviest period of my life with excessive clotting. Cramps were reduced, however. I'm not prone to acne but have an increased occurrence of pimples since taking. Generally, I just feel 'off,' and not like myself."

"I was prescribed Sronyx to regulate my hormones after having prolonged bleeding. I have spotted several times while on this pill, and it makes my breasts so sore! I'm glad the doctor switched me to something else."

"This is an update to my review from early June. I've been on Sronyx for about 2 months now (actually for HRT). The first 2 weeks were fine and then the fatigue, mood swings, and depression hit hard. I feel like I'm finally coming out of it, but be warned that it can be a tough adjustment for the first month or so."

"I am 18 and I have been on Sronyx birth control for around a year, and this works pretty well for me. I have less heavy and less painful periods, so it works for me. But different people react differently."

"I have been on this pill for a few weeks, and it has caused me to cry constantly! I feel depressed all the time, and I have no appetite. So, this pill isn't for me."

"I was prescribed Sronyx as a way to control the amount of blood I lose during my very heavy periods. I have been on it for about 5 months now, and here is my experience with it. I feel very normal taking this pill. About Me: - Age: 24 - Weight: 105 - Ethnicity: Hispanic - Sexually Active - I eat healthy - Little to Moderate Exercise My Experience: - Period was lighter after 1st month and has continued to stay light. I used to bleed for 5-6 days heavily and get severe cramps. Now my periods are light and will last 3 days. I still get light cramps. - I have not gained weight. - Skin cleared up - No mood swings or depression. - Sex drive has not changed. - On occasions, I will experience nausea after I eat. - I still PMS - NO 'breakthrough bleeding.'"
