"I am on my second pack of Seasonique. Day 2 of the yellow pills, and my period hasn't come yet. Could be because, 2 weeks ago, I had a 10-day period with heavy clotting. I have had no bad side effects other than lack of sex drive, which doesn't bother me since I am not having sex. I am using this to treat my ovarian cysts that have grown back."

"I love Seasonique! I have been using it for about 4 years. I was diagnosed with extremely painful ovarian cysts in 2012, and my OB/GYN suggested I take hormones. When she said I could take a script where I would only have 4 periods a year, I jumped at it. I noticed a difference right away. The only problem with this is I have a lot, pretty much constant vaginal discharge (due to the progesterone). It's clear and watery. But this is manageable for me, and for all the benefits of the pill for me: worth it. I love the fact that I only have 4 periods a year. And insurance (BCBS) covers 100% of the cost for me!"

"I have been taking Seasonique for 10 years now. I got put on it when I was 15 due to a huge ovarian cyst and very bad periods that made me super sick! I've had no issue with this medication at all, until the beginning of 2016- now I have had no period. Every 3 months I get the symptoms of a period but never bleed. But I have been fine on this medication. I recommend it to anyone!"

"I loved Seasonique. I took it for about a year. I am switching to Jolessa only because it is a lot cheaper through my insurance. I never had bleeding unless I was on the inactive pills or I missed pills. I always had light periods while I was on it that were about 4 days. Wish I didn't have to switch."

"It has been a month since I have been taking Seasonique. So far, the only thing I noticed is an increase in appetite, waking up earlier, not sleeping soundly enough, feeling bloated all the time, and the bleeding is just ridiculous. I have been spotting/bleeding since the first day. But, I am not going to give up, I want to see what happens and if it's good. I just can't quit smoking, and that worries me. Good luck!"

"I loved the idea of this birth control because it would’ve been nice to only have four periods a year, so when my gynecologist recommended it to me, I wanted to try it. Before this, I tried two other birth control pills to help control my cramps from ovarian cysts, but neither one of them helped. Seasonique helped my cramps for the first pack, but when I got to the placebo pills on the second pack, I bled for twelve weeks straight. I honestly thought it was never going to stop, and it was just awful. I wouldn’t recommend this birth control, but it affects everyone differently."

"2 years ago I decided to have an ultrasound to determine why I suffered such debilitating menstrual cramps, my gyn only found a very small ovarian cyst and sent me on my way with some Advil. A year later I started having chronic urinary type infections and on the 3rd visit was told I had a huge fibroid or cyst. I immediately had another ultrasound and found the cyst had grown to 7.5 centimeters. My gyn then wanted to do immediate surgery and explained that if they can't drain it that most likely I would need a hysterectomy. When I asked why and how cysts occur, his only answer was that it is complicated. So I went home, got on the internet, reviewed hundreds of websites and found no reasonable explanation for cyst formation. At this point I was in chronic pain from the cyst pressing against my bladder, and had developed chronic odor in my urine for 6 months that even the antibiotics could not cure."
