"I looked for some positive reviews before starting this birth control a doctor recommended and didn’t see many but still gave it a try. I suffer from endometriosis (have had laparoscopy, one successful, last one unsuccessful) and have tried MANY birth controls that did not help my symptoms. (Pills, Nexplanon, Depo) I spotted on Daysee from day 1 until I finished week 12, which made it hard to continue, but I’m glad I stuck with it, now only having a period every three months has helped me so much. I still have symptoms of endo: pain, nausea, bloating randomly even not on my cycle (normal with endo). But overall, I feel a lot better on this pill than not. Not many side effects I’ve noticed. It has completely cleared up my hormonal adult acne, which is a major plus. I feel normal again compared to how bad a condition I was in before with my endometriosis pain. If that is your reason for looking into trying this, I recommend it."

"I love this medication. I was on name-brand Seasonique for a bit, but transferred to generic to save money. I've been on Daysee for 5+ years now, and I absolutely love it. I was put on birth control 10+ years ago for intense migraine headaches, this helped a lot. I didn't gain weight or anything, and I think it makes my periods (when they happen) way more tolerable. Less cramping than before, less crazy breakouts, and almost no emotional mood swings. It has worked great!"

"I was on Lo Loestrin Fe before, and that was my first birth control. It did help with some pain but not all of it, and it did aid my ovarian cyst, however, the depressive cycles I went through were far too intense to stay on. So being switched to Daysee, I was hesitant because I didn't know what to anticipate. By far the worst experience I've had in a long time. The cramps and pain are every single day, 24/7, excruciating pain in my pelvic area, constant headaches that were aided by no headache medicine. Bloating and weight gain despite being on a diet and exercising, and a completely non-existent sex drive. Eight weeks of taking it, and I have decided to stop taking it, as I can't deal with the side effects and how it only worsens my pain instead of helping it. So frustrating trying to find a birth control that helps and doesn't ruin me in the process."

"I’ve used Daysee for about 8 months, and I have finally stopped... my life has been miserable since month 4. I bled every day from the fourth month until now (one week off), and the breakthrough bleeding is the heaviest I’ve ever experienced!"

"If I could give this a zero, I would. When I started it, it extended my period by over a week. I went about a week and a half without bleeding, and when I was under the assumption I wouldn’t bleed for two months, I have now been bleeding for two weeks again. It made me very tired and extremely depressed. I find myself crying almost every day over things I typically wouldn’t cry over. I became very bloated quickly, and my breasts have continued to get bigger every day since beginning this medication. I understand medication affects everyone differently, but if you have a choice, I suggest finding a different birth control."

"I've been on multiple different birth control pills, this one being the best by far! I was previously on Isibloom, which made me incredibly nauseous and even caused me to throw up almost daily, made me severely depressed and down all the time, and was just absolutely miserable. This birth control is completely different from that! It was recommended to me by my doctor, and it hasn’t affected me emotionally at all (none that I've noticed anyways), and I’ve only had some breakthrough spotting and bleeding at the start of it, and I am now going on month five. It’s also completely cleared up my skin and I haven’t had any loss of libido or anything, the only side effects I’ve really noticed is it has made my breasts bigger/swollen and sometimes tender, but other than that, I prefer this pill over any other by far!"

"Was on Camrese for 3 months, no issue. Insurance then switched to Daysee (another generic). 2 weeks in, I've had non-stop spotting (never had it in my life), insane acne, and absolutely no sex drive. Worst birth control I have had in my life, and I am switching back to a 1-month pill."

"Absolutely horrific. At first, it seemed to give me some relief from the debilitating cramps I got for like a week straight every month, but then the cramps came back with a vengeance. I had cramps every single day for a month, literally. Despite not eating any more than before, eating healthily and working out constantly, I gained over 10 lbs and felt bloated and sick. I just decided one day to stop taking it. I figured it wasn't helping and was probably making it worse. I threw them away and feel better already. I hate this medication. It's horrible. For me, it felt like poison. It made my moods worse, energy lower, and I was always exhausted. It's garbage."

"I've been taking Daysee for 10 days now and should be far from a new period. I'm bleeding heavier than I ever have in my life, and I've been having periods for 20 years now! I've been taking generic forms of Seasonique for several years now and have never had issues and quite like not having a period but every 3 months. I called my pharmacy and am making them order the last generic form that I was on, Ashlynna."

"I decided on Daysee to help with heavy menstrual periods, as the first 2 to 3 days of my period are heavy. Well, this has been a nightmare. The first two months, I had light bleeding every day. It then turned to heavy bleeding every single day. When I say heavy, I mean changing tampons (super) and backup overnight pads every single hour. I couldn’t sleep because I was up every hour. I finally had enough and just stopped taking the pills. I had two weeks left of my 3-month supply when I stopped. I have been bleeding heavily for eight days. Yesterday was the first day that I saw signs of the bleeding slowing up."

"Don’t take this if you have other options. I decided to switch birth controls because I was on Depo and thought to take a break from it. That has been the worst decision of my life. Since taking birth control (Junel and Depo) I’ve had no cramps. And when I first got my periods I had cramps from Satan himself. I am one week into Daysee, and I feel like my uterus is on FIRE. And I am having severe constipation, making it even worse. This has been so awful. Throw in mood swings from hormones, and I haven’t cried in days. I’m throwing this pill away."

"I have stage 4 endo, with two laps. I’m 22 years old. I tried the implant, IUD, all were terrible. I have chronic pelvic pain and severe acne. Endo is no fun, as we know! This pill seems to make me very, very tired and exhausted. I've been crying a lot, and the spotting was terrible! I started the placebo pills and got back on track because I was tired of bleeding and the pain! My acne has been insane after starting this! I’m trying to hold on a little longer to see if it will subside and start to help! It doesn’t seem to help with pelvic pain though."

"Really thought this was gonna work for endo pain and seemed to in the beginning, however, the side effects are not worth it whatsoever. I have been bleeding for three weeks now, bloated every single day to the point I thought I was pregnant. I’m tired all the time, I’m breaking out, headaches, and have period cramps, which I never had before, let alone a period - now I don’t stop bleeding or bloating! Absolute worst medication I’ve ever been on, and I’ve been on birth control for almost 15 years."

"This was the first birth control I ever took, and I really liked it. The only side effects I ever had were very painful and swollen boobs. However, once I started the second month, I started bleeding so much, and I’ve never had heavy periods ever. Before getting on BC, my periods were light to moderate and lasted 3-4 days. But when I started bleeding mid-pack, this time it lasted 8 days, and it was the worst extreme pain I’ve ever experienced, with severe cramps and excruciating sharp pains. I lost so much blood by the time it finished. My OB/GYN said it was breakthrough bleeding, so she took me off it. If the breakthrough bleeding didn’t happen, I would switch back. I would recommend it just because it doesn’t cause many side effects at all, and if you don’t want your period to come every month, but other than that, I wouldn’t recommend it if you suffer from endometriosis or heavy bleeding/irregular periods. It really doesn’t help with that."

"I started off on a low dose birth control pill (Camrese Lo) and experienced NON-STOP bleeding for almost 3 weeks. It was not spotting, it was a heavy flow for almost a month straight. My doctor changed my prescription to Daysee, and within 3 days my bleeding stopped. I have had little problems with spotting, just every now and then. I am 5'8" and 135 pounds, I've been on the birth control for about 6 months, and I have NOT gained any weight. I also have had no problems with hair loss or acne. I do have mood swings, but I had those before birth control... LOL. By the way, this is my first birth control ever! I take my pill at 9 PM, sometimes, if I take it too late, I will spot the next day, but it is SUPER light and resolves within hours. I use this for BC, and I have unprotected sex with my partner regularly, no scares!"

"I had been using Ashlyna for over a year with no issue when my insurance carrier made me switch to their pharmacy, then made me switch to Daysee. For three months, I’ve bled continuously, sometimes spotting, sometimes heavy bleeding with cramps (heavier than my periods on Ashlyna). This is supposed to be the exact same chemical makeup as Ashlyna, but something is obviously different. Luckily, once I explained what was going on to a pharmacist at the new pharmacy run by my insurance carrier, they agreed to switch me back."

"When I first got on Daysee, it was great. No period for 3 months, and it was generally lighter. Been on it for about 5 years now? I didn't get the spotting and breakthrough bleeding they claim you get until now, when I've been on it for so long. I don't know what went wrong, but I hate it now. I start spotting around month two, then it gradually gets heavier, which I assume is my period starting. The bleeding doesn't stop until like a week after starting my new pack? I've been trying to keep taking them because maybe it's something I was doing wrong, but it's been going on for about a year or two, and I am so over it. I'd rather go back to my 5-day heavy period before birth control than to be bleeding for over a month. Pads aren't cheap."

"I have no complaints, it does what it needs to do. I got on it for my painful periods, and I haven't had any side effects related to those. My one qualm is the decreased sex drive."
