"After 8 years of serious depression (tried 8 different types of birth control), I went cold turkey. During that 7 years, I developed massive cystic acne, and the depression went away. My cramps are incapacitating. My cycle before BC was 1 day of cramps, then 5 to 7 days of medium flow. After BC, it was 3 days of spotting, then 1 day of cramps and 3 more days of spotting. The pain wasn't worth the nonexistent cycle, so I decided to try a different BC. I took this for 3 months. My stomach bloats within an hour of taking it and after 2 months with no period, I started spotting with 2% of my cramping pain, so I stopped taking it. Then I noticed my cystic acne just stopped. I decided to take it again since there was zero depression and again, I'm spotting with 2% cramp pain, but I also noticed the spotting is dark brown, I have gained 7 lbs, and I'm pretty sure 'the girls' are more plump."

For Birth Control "I was in between doctors and was prescribed this. It was horrible. My breasts hurt so bad, and I have been cramping like I'll have a period, but I don't bleed. I was so anxious, moody, and sad for no reason. I switched to Sprintec with a 0.35 mg estrogen in hopes my body will calm down."

For Birth Control "Started January 2025 - I think with any hormonal birth control, you will feel like you are PMS'ing all the time (that's what my PCP told me). I spotted for the first 3 months, and then it stopped for a month. I have some spotting this week as it should have been my period week. Symptoms feel minimal (cramping is little to minimal compared to being off OCP. I used to have pretty bad stabbing cramping in my pelvic floor area). Feels like I can still function and stay active without having to worry about extreme PMS and full-blown menstruation. I'm also taking Adderall XR to manage ADHD and feel like it's been going okay with that. Supplement with 250mg magnesium every day, Costco probiotic, and Kirkland Multivitamin gummy."

For Birth Control "I've taken this for over a year now. I almost quit during the first month. I got it to stop my periods that had gotten to be very heavy along with hormonal changes. But not only did my period stay, I was getting awful, nearly debilitating cramps, like contractions I had to breathe through. Embarrassing when in the middle of a conversation. So I stopped and called my doctor. They said sometimes this happens, they recommend stopping for a week then re-starting. My body needed to adjust. And it did. It worked. I've saved so much money on period products, but now after a year, I'm spotting, I don't know why. It's not a lot, but it's annoying to where I consider wearing a liner. I'm hoping this passes, it's still completely worth it. No periods!!!"

For Birth Control "On my first pack. Started on day 3 of my period and have been miserable ever since. Nausea, cramping, acne, headaches, and bleeding for 23 days straight. Not spotting, but actual bleeding, and sometimes heavy with big clots. I know it takes time, but at this point, I'd rather deal with a regular period. After 3 weeks, my breasts are extremely tender. Don't know how much longer I'll last on this pill."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Amethyst birth control pills since August of this year. I had spotting for a month now, no cramping, but I am a little moody from it. I heard it takes a while for your body to adjust to it. I haven’t had cramps or nausea, which I like about this. My period before used to make me so sick."
