For Birth Control "I recently switched to Zovia from Ortho Tricyclen. It's definitely doing what it's supposed to. The side effects that I've experienced since switching are slight weight gain (even though I'm active), B to C cup size and some tenderness, nausea, and mood swings (and my boyfriend agrees with me -- this is the WORST side effect). What I do like about Zovia is that it cleared my face up and made my periods EXTREMELY light and short. I think I like Ortho Tricyclen better, but only because I didn't have any side effects with it."

For Birth Control "I have been using Zovia for 2 months, and I have really off periods, so it's been able to keep my periods on track. Not too many side effects, maybe a little nausea, but other than that, I like it. As long as you take it on time, you are fine."

For Birth Control "I recently switched from Loestrin to Zovia. Loestrin made me cramp really bad when I spotted. And I took them every day at the same time. I also would spot for about a week. When I started taking Zovia, which has been for a month and a half, it made me nauseous and I had/have tenderness of the breasts. Nausea went away and my skin cleared up, but I am still experiencing tenderness of the breasts. They hurt really bad and my nipples are sore. My breasts have also enlarged to a cup size. I don't know if this will be for only a short time or if I will continue having this soreness. But overall, I like it, minus my breasts being sore and huge!!"

For Birth Control "I was on Zovia for 3 months and had side effects from the start. In the first month, I had a weight gain of 8 pounds. It caused a lot of nausea. It made me severely depressed. I'm switching to Nordette. On the positive side, it did regulate my extremely irregular periods."

For Birth Control "I take birth control mostly to take care of my extremely heavy periods and hormonal acne. This is by far the best birth control I have been on for me. I originally started on Zovia 1/35 (after already trying 2-3 different kinds of pills), which worked beautifully for a year until I began experiencing spotting and my doctor recommended upping the estrogen and trying out the 1/50. When I first started it, I had horrible nausea because my body wasn't used to that amount of hormones, but that didn't last long. My skin was completely cleared up and periods were the lightest they've ever been. Really loved this pill, but I'm on Mononessa now because my new gynecologist was scared of the amount of hormones I was putting into my body. Never had side effects on this."

For Birth Control "Had been on this medicine for a couple of years but then realized it was making my skin worse, major cravings, and weight gain with a lot of bloating. I would always feel super nauseous when starting the pill at the beginning of the month and would sometimes vomit. I do not recommend this brand. Basically had all of the side effects."

For Birth Control "For me, I’ve been on Zovia starting 7 months today. I’ve had pretty bad side effects, but I don’t completely blame it on the pill itself. It’s helped clear my acne, and I have oily skin, so it didn’t dry it out. I've lost weight (could be from other things, though), and my hips have gotten wider but losing weight. The side effects I had were nausea, headaches, and other regular symptoms, although I’m used to them since they’re hereditary for my family, and I’ve always had really bad symptoms on my period. I got prescribed this for my periods because of how bad they were, and they’ve reduced bleeding a lot. I only have little bleeding and spotting now. I’m just nervous because I’ve never really been sexually active, and I’m not sure how good this is going to work for that reason."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control pill 12 days ago. I'm 18 years old and take it for bad cramps and excessive bleeding. Ever since I started it, I've had extremely debilitating nausea, anxiety, and loss of appetite. I stopped taking it yesterday in hopes of the terrible nausea ending. The nausea spread from my shoulders to the bottom of my sternum. I had anxiety attacks for no reason. I would not recommend this medication."

For Birth Control "I took Zovia for one month. After one week of being on the medication, I felt awful. I was getting headaches and nausea. On top of that, I had nonstop cravings. I had to go off of it!"

For Birth Control "I've been on Zovia for almost a year now and love it. My periods only last 2-3 days and after day one are so light I hardly bleed. However, for my first month of taking it, I had horrible pregnancy-like symptoms, I had morning sickness and a super strong aversion to cooking meat. After that first month, though, I acclimated and have had no issues since."
