For Atrophic Vaginitis "People seem to have an issue with keeping the patch in place. The only thing that seems to work is Tegaderm hospital tape, cut a piece and place it over the patch. I do not know why Big Pharma, which charges a fortune for this RX, does not include a cut-to-size Tegaderm tape piece with every patch. Surely they can afford it, and they must know getting the patch to stick is an issue for their users. Side note: the glue on the patch causes my skin to be red, burn, and itch during the first day of a new patch, this diminishes as the week progresses. It works well for symptoms of low energy and achy joints, muscles, hot flashes. Not so well with the vaginal atrophy and vaginal dryness part, which is too bad. I've been on it for close to a year, and those symptoms seem to be getting worse, even with regular sexual activity. I will be trying the ring."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I’ve only started using Climara since mid-April. It’s hard to remove the patch from the backing. Also, I itch beneath and around the area. With the heat and sweat, it comes off. Copay is high. So replacing a patch is pricey."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "My hot flashes were horrible! I would have to change my night clothes during the night. From the first day I used Climara, they were gone, and I slept through the night. So happy!! I am NOT a fan of medication, but this has been a blessing. It does itch under the patch, and I get a rash sometimes. I had a problem getting a couple of them to stick, but Bayer replaced them. I've only been using it for two months, but I am pleased with its results. The backing is difficult to remove too."
