"Definitely lowers sugar level, you must work out to help weight loss! I go on an elliptical for 15 mins a day, and have lost 8 pounds in 2 weeks! The pills will make you urinate more! My goal is to reverse the diabetes, like working out every day and watching what you eat, eat healthier but no more fried food!"

"I was put on Glyxambi for type 2 diabetes. The 1st few months were fine no side effects and my A1C went from 8.4 to 7.8. However my kidney levels were starting to be affected. In 1 year I went from normal levels to a Stage 3 kidney disease. I did research on all my meds I was currently on and found Glyxambi had significant effects on your kidneys. Sadly, the NP who originally put me on this left the practice and the new NP who replaced never bothered to look into why the levels were rising. It took myself to research and request a new medication. I'm now on new medicine and I'm happy to say my levels are starting to go back to normal! I am seeing a new dr. I highly recommend keeping an eye look on your levels"

"I have been taking Glyxambi for about 3 months. I’ve lost 20 lbs without trying. My blood sugar is much lower, I’m never hungry, don’t crave anything sweet and full eating small portions. Much better then other type 2 meds."

"I was given samples to last 30 days, then I went to get medication at pharmacy. I nearly had a stroke when I heard the price. $182 with Medicare and a supplemental insurance. I asked what it would cost without insurance and Medicare, $636. I am going back to my Doctor for an alternative to this stuff."

"I started this medication about 6 weeks ago and I love this medication with my glimeperide! My numbers have been great since I've started this medication and I lost 11 pounds without diet or exercise. I may have had a few side effects for the first week or two, but they subsided and since then, all has been well!"

"I am a type two that went into Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) and spent three days in the ICU. Once I got out I found an endocronologist and he put me on Glyxambi and My numbers stay between 90 and 120. I also do not eat very many carbs. My doctor gave me a discount card that I use when I get my script filled and the 30 day supply is free with the card. I feel better than I have in years and my last A1c was 6.5 I have been on this drug since April 2016 and today is Oct 27th 2016"

"I have been on this medicine for almost a year. It really does bring your diabetes under control. My A1C has remained a 6 since being on this medication. The down side is I have issues with being too low. While taking this medicine I experience low numbers at night. So I have wake up through the night to drink something to maintain good glucose numbers. I have also experienced other side effects such as yeast infections, low numbers, weakness, dizziness and joint pain. This is a great medicine for keeping your numbers under control but this medicine seems to be too powerful for me. I have found my self cutting back to a couple times a week taking this medication. Besides the side effects great medicine!!!"

"Was on this med for over a year and lost 10 lbs or so, frequent urination. I was experiencing horrible joint pain, thought it was old age and I probably wouldn't see 70. Quit taking because insurance changed and my cost would be about 500/month. Within a week my pains, knee and back went away. My dr did not warn me that this was side effect ."

"This drug Glyxambi has made me lose lots of weight. I have had multiple yeast infections that were the worst ever. It started out okay but now has caused me health problems. I have been dizzy and falling with injuries hurting myself. Had to go to ER and doctor says something is going bad with my brain. I will not take another one of these pills again. Glyxambi has put me out of work and I can't drive. They are the worst pills anyone can take. I don't recommend these. Your life is at risk."

"This medication probably works wonders for some, and it did for me at first. However, I experienced the absolute worst yeast infections, to the point I went to the E.R. I stopped taking this medication and will be talking to my MD about something else."

"I started taking this med in Feb 2017. My A1c in January was 10+. It is now Dec 2017 and my last A1c in August was 7.4 and I have lost 35 lbs with no added exercise or diet change. I’m so pleased with this medicine. I’ve also been able to get off my thyroid med, one of my two blood pressure meds, and my antidepressant! Only side effect I’ve had is dizziness, but that has been manageable. "

"I started this medication about 2 1/2 months ago. Just had a visit with my endocrinologist who was very pleased that my A1C went down from a 8.2 to a 6.6. I even lost a couple of pounds. No side effects to really mention except a little tiredness. I would highly recommend this medication. I was on Metformin and Glipizide combo before this and still not getting to goal. I have now removed the Glipizide and replaced it with Glyxambi and glad I did."

"I was only on this medicine Glyxambi for a month and a half, I started getting extremely dizzy. After three days of going back and forth with my doctor he finally changed it. I haven't taken it for 4 days, and some of the dizziness has subsided."

"Diagnosed with type 2 in January. EGFR fell from 62 to 49 in 7 months. NO ONE would could explain why. Focus was on my diabetic diet. But i have been researching and it is suggested people at stage 3 should NOT be on this med so I took myself off, my life or death, my choice. A1c remained good at 6.3 so my PCP did not give me too much static. After STOPPING glyxambi two months my EGFR shot up to 83 and my creatinine dropped from 1.4 back to .87. Seems many have found success with glyx, for me it was BAD news. So "kidney disease" might not be progressive once the toxic meds are dc'd."

"I have been taking Glyxambi for about 3 weeks, and I have lost almost 25 pounds. I was really wondering if that was normal as I haven't really altered my diet, nor do I exercise. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a drastic amount of weight loss in a short period of time? But other than urinating a lot, I've had no problems with it. My blood sugar has been lower, and I really am enjoying the weight loss, but I just was concerned... But overall... It is awesome!!!"
