"Relpax has changed my life! I have suffered with migraines for years. I know they are usually hormone-related. Relpax is like a miracle, most days I can take it as soon as my headache starts, and within the hour I am pain-free. Relpax recently saved my Disney vacation!"

"So I've just recently started suffering migraines due to stress tension in upper traps, which doesn't help, and hormonal. I'm 31, and I have never had migraines like this. I tried bupap for my tension headaches, and after taking them, it made it 10 times worse to the point it would turn into a horrific migraine. My doctor suggested Relpax. I took it for the first time today as I felt symptoms come on this morning. I thought it was more tension, so I thought I would give bupap another try. Forty-five minutes later, the throb started coming on. So I called the pharmacist, and he gave me the okay to take Relpax. Thirty minutes later, I am pain free! I can't believe it. Will update on side effects. So far, so good!"

"I'm glad it works for most people - it most definitely did not work for me. My doctor warned me about feeling tingly, but that wasn't all - I took it at night like I used to do with Imitrex. My migraine had progressed to the point of not being able to function, nausea - the usual. I woke up and felt groggy, probably shouldn't have gone into work and drive my kids to school, but the pain was done. It was a good 12 hours since I had taken the medication, so I figured I was OK. Boy, was I wrong. I could not function, my brain was dead, BUT the worst part was the uncontrollable sobbing. I was crying for no apparent reason for HOURS - the whole day! I had to leave work and have my mom pick up my kids and take care of me - nausea lasted all day too. NOPE!"

"This is the best migraine medication for me. I feel these are very different for each individual. But this has been the most successful at completely aborting my migraines most of the time. With other types, I have had to take a repeat dose to get the results needed to continue a normal day."

"I took Relpax today for the second time, took it once before. It has given me no relief whatsoever, and I'm experiencing the same side effects as the first time I took it. Before you wonder why I would take it a second time, I thought perhaps I had just been in so much pain before I would give it another go. I have severe back pain, numbness and tingling in my fingers, and ringing in my ears. Also, the migraine seems to have gotten worse. Now my eye has so much pressure, it feels like it's bugging out of my face. I will NEVER take this drug again."

"I’ve been taking Relpax for about 10 years now, and I can honestly say I cannot live without it! It takes away my migraine and all my symptoms within the hour. I tried other medications that didn’t work and made me worse. Generic brands also did not work for me. I would recommend it to anyone. The only side effect I get sometimes is that it can make me a little tired, but I can handle that over a migraine any day."

"I love this medication! It has completely changed my life. I give it a 9 out of 10 because I get the side effects, and almost always have to nap before the side effects disappear. They are also very expensive."

"I've had migraines since I was a teenager (now in my 60s), and this is the best treatment I've ever been prescribed. My migraine starts with pins and needles in my lips, tongue, and occasionally ends of my fingers, followed by flashing lights, which seem to be triggered by bright light, sunshine flickering behind trees, sun on snow, etc. If I take a Relpax within 10 minutes of symptoms, the migraine doesn't progress to nausea, violent headache, and loss of speech - as used to be the case. My GP in France prescribes these for me, and 1 packet now seems to last me between 6 and 9 months. Absolutely brilliant."

"Have been afflicted with migraines for about 7 years now. Tried several medicines, including the prophylactics, with varying degrees of success and side effects. Relpax gives me my life back most of the time versus a 3-day nightmare of pain. It does numb my face a little and make me woozy, but that's well worth it for me. It's so effective for my migraines, which definitely seem to be weather-related and not food-related."

"Relpax has been a wonder drug for me. Other than having to wait an hour for it to kick in, I've had no side effects at all. The only worry I have is the neurologist told me that it can stop working if you use it too often."

"I tried a few 'triptans.' Relpax is not the strongest one, it may take an hour before it starts to work, especially if I wait too long, hoping for the migraine to go away by itself (sometimes miracles do happen). For comparison, Imitrex works much faster for me but almost immediately sends me into a deep sleep. Relpax has minimum side effects: maybe some drowsiness and heaviness in my legs, but I can still work if necessary. For a long time, I was on Maxalt, it was less effective in relieving the pain but caused more side effects, like drowsiness and severe cramps."

"I've been fighting migraines for 22 years, out of which I've been taking Relpax (40 mg) for approximately 15 years to alleviate the pain, nausea, etc. It takes me about an hour to work fully, and I usually take it with some small portion of chocolate or something sweet. It works even a bit better, at least; this is my experience. There are some side effects, of course, such as feeling 'a bit strange,' heavy legs, etc., but they usually fade away in 5 to 6 hours. Lately, I have frequent (almost daily) migraines (also related to menopause), and I take them a bit too much. I also tried two drugs as prophylaxis and some other triptans, but they didn't work as well as Relpax."

"This medication is not for me. I took it for my migraines about two months ago. I started sweating and got back and stomach pain. This time I took it, and believe me when I say the pounding in my head is the better option. It has been over 24 hours, and I can still barely use my left arm or take really deep breaths. The body pain, including jaw, neck, and shoulder pain, was so intense I almost went to the emergency room. On the bright side, the headache stopped."

"I've tried about half the meds prescribed for migraine. Relpax was the only one to not only give me relief, but relief without side effects. Unfortunately, my insurance seems to hate it and keeps wanting me to try things that I had significant side effects on or that didn't help at all because it is expensive. I just tell them it's cheaper than an ER visit."

"I want to let everybody know what happened to me. My daughter committed suicide about 12 years ago and left two little girls to raise, and I had to help raise. I began having major migraines from all the crying I did. They put me on Relpax. Relpax, and it did work for my migraines. After quite a few years, like five years on them, I began having problems with my feet and legs hurting like crazy. My hands quit being able to type very well at my job, and I started collapsing and dropping onto the floor eventually. I had to use a wheelchair and a walker, and I had to do disability, and I’ve been in bed for about eight years now, unable to have a decent life. Now I realize that it was Relpax that caused it. BEWARE."

"This is a miracle drug for me. Just wish I could take it during the day while at work. It is also expensive, as I have a high deductible, so I am selective about when I use it."

"This drug worked so well, once a migraine has started, that I now cut them in half, and it still always works. That's good because the drug is expensive. No side effects whatsoever for me."

"The doctor recommended this over codeine (which worked for my migraines). I had absolutely the worst experience. Within 20 minutes, tightness of my head, jaw, and throat. Severe heart palpitations, sweating, and agitation. I felt like I was either going to throw up or pass out and couldn’t sit up. I also felt heavy in the head. These feelings lasted for 3 hours. Never again will I take this medication."
