For Birth Control "I’ve been on Slynd for approximately two months. The first month went by smoothly, I had my period and everything was fine. Then I got to the second month. The first week of the second month, I had breakthrough bleeding, which was super light, so I didn’t think anything of it. I am now going on three weeks of bleeding, and it’s now gone from spotting to full-on bleeding like a period. For three weeks. Nothing seems to help it, and the bleeding seems to be getting heavier and heavier. I’m already have the three-pack of the pill, so I’m going to continue it and see if the bleeding fixes itself."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Slynd for 6 months now. I’m 36 and had never been on hormonal birth control before, but was prescribed this due to severe issues with endometriosis, heavy bleeding, and terrible menstrual pains and cramps. I can’t take pills containing estrogen due to high blood pressure and migraines with aura. I’m still not sure how to feel about this pill! On the one hand, it has massively helped with the pains and cramps - in these 6 months I’ve been totally pain-free (it even helped with my migraines!), which has been AMAZING. It felt like I got my life back. On the other hand, I’ve been having a lot of spotting and bleeding, and unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like it’s getting better with time - quite the opposite. The first two to three months, I had spotting for about 10 days a month, and then it has just been going on longer and longer for each month. The past two months, I’ve only had about 10 days per month without any bleeding, which hasn’t exactly been great."

For Birth Control "I’m almost done with my 2nd pack of Slynd, so far, I haven’t seen any weight gain. I’m still the same. I had mild bleeding for one week (pinkish when I went to the bathroom) then what felt like a period for a few days after that week. Cramps aren’t as bad as they used to be, I don’t seem like my acne is any different-still a little breakout from PMS. Eating habits feel the same, no stomach pains. I do suffer from an STD and have had a few small and short-term outbreaks, but maybe it’s just from still getting used to the pill."

For Birth Control "I started Slynd on the first day of my menstrual period and bled continuously for 16 days! It would lighten up, and I would think it was ending, but then it would get heavy again with clots. I just could not take it anymore! The bleeding finally stopped 3 days after I stopped taking the pill, making it a total of 19 days of bleeding! I have anemia and could not risk taking this pill for 3-6 months to see if my body would ever adjust to this. Maybe it works for some women, but it’s definitely not for me!"

For Birth Control "Month 1 was amazing. Period was light and slightly shorter. I had some side effects (acne, headache), but that was to be expected. Month 2: Period came in the middle of the pack and lasted ~13 days. I decided to keep taking Slynd since it had only been two months. Month 3: Period came on week three, lasted ten days. I decided to skip the placebo pills because I didn’t want to bleed again and wanted to see if that would change anything. Month 4: Week 2 and I’m bleeding again. Meaning I only got one week of no blood so far for October. I’m not in control of my emotions. I’m angry all the time, crying. I don’t feel like myself at all. Peeing constantly. I’m tired and depressed and having brain fog, although I’m not attributing everything to Slynd. My boobs, back, and side hurt constantly. No weight gain, boobs may have gotten bigger?? I’m not comfy relying solely on condoms, so not sure what to do."

For Birth Control "I know they say to give it 3-6 months for adjustment, but I had to stop this without even completing the third week. I started it on the first day of my period. Initial side effects were feeling emotionally numb, low libido, nausea, and insomnia. A few days in, mild heart palpitations. By day 17, my period still hadn’t stopped (usually 3-4 days long). I have a ton of pain when I bleed, so I was constantly out of commission. I was crying on and off for no reason every day and filled with anxiety, which is abnormal for me. I felt like I was going to have a mental breakdown. Terrible food aversions. I also began waking up with more severe chest pains and quit it on day 17 or 18. Three days after quitting, I’m still bleeding heavily and feeling miserable. I’m not sure how much longer the bleeding will continue. Maybe things would have leveled out eventually, but it got too bad for me to find out. I really couldn’t function on it."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Slynd for 13 months and no pregnancy. I am militaristic about taking it at the same time every day, though. I really wanted this to work because outside of breakthrough bleeding and mood swings, this was fine. I thought I could handle it. But I have periods 2x a month, and I have developed depression accompanied by massive mood swings. I scare myself sometimes. I am not this person, I feel lethargic and out of it, no emotion outside of the crazy mood swings (my poor husband)."

For Birth Control "I have been on Slynd now for 3 months and can’t stand it! I was previously on Yasmin, and a new doctor convinced me to give Slynd a try due to the fact that it is estrogen-free. The first month was fine. The second month, I began bleeding heavily for two weeks, just one week after my normal cycle, and have been spotting ever since. I have been irritable, super sensitive, and emotional. I understand the benefits of being estrogen-free but not at the sake of my sanity."

For Birth Control "My experience has been decent. I had bad hormonal acne, and since taking Slynd continuously, it has started clearing a lot. However, before I decided to take it continuously, I was breaking out badly after the placebo pills. I haven’t had any breakthrough bleeding, even before I switched to continuous. Just my period before, and now not even that. My mood is definitely more stable, but I feel like I have slightly lower energy. I initially had lower sex drive, but my body adjusted, and now I’m back to normal. I have gained slight weight (5-7 lbs), but I’ve been eating worse and exercising less. I’m not sure if it’s the pill causing low energy and cravings or if it’s just my choices, hard to say. Either way, nothing drastic. Overall, it's much better than the original mini pill, which is awful, and I took that for years. I think, in more time to level out, it will continue to improve. I have a friend in the medical field who says you should really give your body a YEAR on a new pill to adjust."

For Birth Control "I felt great taking this pill physically and emotionally, and I lost a few pounds too. However, my period never stopped. You definitely won't get pregnant on this pill because you will never be able to have sex. I stopped taking Slynd, and it took 8 days for the bleeding to stop. I wish this would have worked out for me."

For Birth Control "As someone who cannot take estrogen in my birth control due to having a history of migraine with aura (stroke risk), this has been the only estrogen-free birth control I’ve used with no side effects or breakthrough bleeding! Been on it for 4 months (it takes 2 months for any adjustment period). I only spotted VERY mildly 3 times on the 2nd week, and that was it - no side effects after that. No acne, increased hunger, or weight gain on Slynd either! PRO TIP: start Slynd on the first day of your period, this will drastically reduce the risk of breakthrough bleeding or spotting. This was recommended by my OBGYN NP, and I'm glad I took her advice as I didn’t know that. PRO TIP #2: most insurances don’t cover Slynd. You can get it affordably through a telehealth service like Nurx for $58 for a 3-month pack. I get a 3-month pack for $50 through a mail-in pharmacy that my OBGYN is partnered with, so ask your OBGYN too."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this medicine for just over a month, and I have had a combination of spotting/bleeding during this period. I suffer from fibroids, so my doctor prescribed this medication in order to help control my excessive bleeding and cramps. Now that I have started on my second pack, I’m reconsidering if I want to continue taking this product."

For Birth Control "I'm 40, and I started taking Slynd 1 month ago because my gynecologist recommended I take a birth control because I'm extremely sexually active. I also have fibroids, which don't give me issues except during sex. The first week on Slynd was okay, then the next week my period was due to come on and did not. The following week, I bled lightly with blood clots for 7 days, and now week 4, I'm still lightly bleeding with blood clots (2 weeks of bleeding). Before the pill, my period came on for 3-4 days and went off. I've also been dehydrated for 2 weeks. If this continues next month, I will not continue with this pill. This pill may be good for some, but not all!"

For Birth Control "Ok, let's start off. I have been on the IUD, arm insert, both caused me to bleed for a little over 2 years nonstop. So therefor, I was told to try the shot, so I did because I've had it before in my early 20s, and it made me the same way. But I turned 30, I tried Depo, and it worked fantastic with no bleeding at all. But it caused me so, so much weight gain, so I finally stopped that shot over a year ago and I lost the weight. Yet I was not on anything. So I tried a different kind of birth control for a short time. I'm 35 and a smoker, and there was only one kind I could take, but it caused me to bleed very heavily on that pill too, so I stopped it. My doctor prescribed Slynd and said this will work just fine without the bleeding. I'm going back to my OB/GYN in April, so I can get my tubes tied, so she gave me samples of the Slynd. I have not bled or had mood changes, nothing at all, no side effects whatsoever. So I just take these until my appointment. But so far, it's been amazing, no problems. I would say this."

For Birth Control "After trying so many combo birth control pills for years with bad experiences, I was scared to try Slynd. I'm so glad I gave it a try. I have endometriosis, so I have to take it continuously. Slynd works so well with me - no PMDD, no cramps, no bleeding, no acne, no bloating! I am losing weight too. My appetite is normal. I always drink plenty of water, so I'm never thirsty on Slynd either. It has uplifted my mood, and everything finally feels just right. I believe this is the birth control that fits me."

For Birth Control "I started Slynd two months ago. Before that, I was on NuvaRing, but due to a scary feeling in my legs, I decided to stop using estrogen birth control. I liked the NuvaRing, and if your body works for it, then that's awesome. I had a surge of energy on it. I switched to Slynd shortly after, and about a few weeks in, I started to bleed for about a few days, maybe a regular period cycle week. I bled another time after that, but this is the lightest bleeding I've ever experienced. I don't have a regular, on-time period, or even one at all anymore. When I take the placebo pills, I have not experienced a period either, but from what I have read online, irregular bleeding is a side effect. My sex drive has honestly stayed about the same, I don't have sex regularly, but when I have, I haven't gotten pregnant, so it's doing its thing. I'm only on month 2, and so far it's been good. If you are worried about estrogen birth control or high androgen BC, then I would recommend this anti-androgen BC!"

For Birth Control "I had been taking Slynd for 5 months. I ignored the cramping and the nonstop bleeding, and also the cramping in my legs, and I stayed bloated all the time. I started having severe pain in my lower abdomen, went and got an ultrasound, and I now have fibroids on my uterine wall. I haven't taken Slynd in one week, and I already feel better. I don't recommend this birth control."

"I was put on Slynd for issues with ovulation pain. It helped for sure after just a month of being on it. I unfortunately had some weight gain with it. My bleeding was very sporadic. Some months would be very light, other months no bleeding at all, even on period weeks. I have been on it for over 2 years now and am starting to have bad symptoms: daily bleeding, almost for over a month, abdominal pain, and cramping. Unfortunately, having to stop taking it."

For Birth Control "So I'm month 4-5 into Slynd, and I'm happy with how it keeps my acne at bay. I'm also happy about the diuretic part too, though I have gotten to the point where I'm barely making it to the bathroom. What I don't like is the breakthrough bleeding. It's been EVERY DAY NOW. This is really messing up my sex sessions because I cannot stand the smell of blood. It is also bothering my arthritis, though I take Meloxicam for it. I'm waking up with a lot of wrist pain. I'm mad at my gyno, so I'm just going to take myself off Slynd and try a more vitamin routine. Ugh."

For Birth Control "I have been on many different kinds of birth control pills and even the implant. Sprintec worked okay for me before having my baby, but after, I couldn’t be back on it. I also have blood pressure issues, and I’m on medication for that, so naturally, combination pills weren’t the best option anyway. So I tried this type of birth control since the arm implant didn’t work for me either (made me very angry and bleed constantly). Slynd started out okay. Didn’t have a period the first month, the second month I started randomly bleeding for 4 days in the middle of the pack. The next month I started bleeding mid-pack but did for 2 weeks. In the middle of all this, I started having awful headaches. My mind went down the drain. Anxiety so bad. One second crying, then I’m super happy, then I’m so mad. The worst of it all, besides the headaches, would have been the extreme exhaustion. Like can’t even get off the couch exhaustion. I’m getting off of it right now after seeing the reviews."

For Birth Control "So I did a review back in August of 2020, I had reviewed it a 10. Following my review, it's like I jinxed myself and was constantly spotting. Would always start mid-pack all the way till the pack ended. It was so annoying. Sometimes, after spotting, I would get a period at the end of the placebos, and it would continue to the next pack. Then on the 14th day, continued with off-and-on spotting. I almost gave up, but I decided to skip the placebos and jump straight to the next pack (10 months in). That following month, I didn’t have spotting or bleeding. The following months after, I’ve taken the placebos (doctor advised me not to skip them), and so far, I have not had a period or spotting. I have gained 13 pounds. Not a big deal for me, I’ve always had a hard time gaining weight. Not sure if skipping the placebos that month helped my body adjust to it somehow. I was sure that I would start the spotting the following month, but nothing. I’m hoping it stays this way."

For Birth Control "I'm on my 4th month. Still bleeding halfway through a pack and not at all during the time I'm supposed to bleed. My sex drive has taken a nosedive, and natural self-lubricating is pretty nonexistent now. I had some issues with my lips, tongue, and mouth tingling or feeling 'asleep' and some morning nausea when I first started taking it. My Dr. wants me to take it to control abnormal menstruation and fibroids. I also feel off... depressed, but different than what I've felt in the past. I'm more anxious, I feel on the verge of a panic attack, emotionally off."

For Birth Control "I have been on Slynd for over a month. I have noticed this pill increases appetite and induces weight gain, especially when on my period. I could not stop eating. I also noticed during my period with this medicine, I bled about 6 days, where before I only bled 3 or 4 days with my previous pill. Although my periods started to have breakthrough bleeding with the former pill. I doubt this pill is the right one for me as I have gained almost 10 lbs in one month, maybe more, and I really don't like that side effect."
