For Birth Control "4/10 I am going to try to be helpful with my review. I took this pill for 15 days and didn’t have crazy initial side effects, which was nice. All of a sudden, though, I noticed how bad my anxiety was getting. About as bad as it was a couple of years ago, and there are no other factors that would cause this stress in my life. Everything is going super well, and so the only thing I can think of is the pill… I randomly had a panic attack and a few mornings woke up with the least amount of motivation I’ve ever had. I really wish I could wait the 3 months, but I feel like trash. Other side effects are that my skin has gotten worse over the last 2 weeks, as well as my hair thinning more, and I had a weird spotting period for over a week. I would assume these all have to do with the pill because I’m not on any other medication as well as having no other extenuating circumstances."

For Birth Control "I gave this pill a try on three separate occasions. Thankfully, no hormone-induced anxiety, depression, or anger like with the combo pill. The horrible part was the constant bleeding. I'm on the third try with this pill at the recommendation of my OB. Had to stop the first time for a uterine biopsy and the second time for bleeding. She assured me if I skip non-hormone pills, no issues. I am on day 45, yes, 45 of non-stop bleeding and discontinued last week. 39-year-old female with fibroids. Horrible experience."

For Birth Control "I know they say to give it 3-6 months for adjustment, but I had to stop this without even completing the third week. I started it on the first day of my period. Initial side effects were feeling emotionally numb, low libido, nausea, and insomnia. A few days in, mild heart palpitations. By day 17, my period still hadn’t stopped (usually 3-4 days long). I have a ton of pain when I bleed, so I was constantly out of commission. I was crying on and off for no reason every day and filled with anxiety, which is abnormal for me. I felt like I was going to have a mental breakdown. Terrible food aversions. I also began waking up with more severe chest pains and quit it on day 17 or 18. Three days after quitting, I’m still bleeding heavily and feeling miserable. I’m not sure how much longer the bleeding will continue. Maybe things would have leveled out eventually, but it got too bad for me to find out. I really couldn’t function on it."

For Birth Control "This pill has been awful for me. I'm 3.5 months in and just finished my 6th period. Last period was my heaviest one in my life! Plus lots of spotting. I'm extremely moody and anxious. I cry all the time. Zero sex drive. I will be having a chat with my doctor and getting off this medication."

For Birth Control "I went on this pill to help regulate my periods, as they were all over the place with PoPs. Slynd did make them more regular, but I had really bad anxiety and even suicidal thoughts (which I've never had before) while taking this. I've since switched back to PoPs, and my anxiety and mood have significantly improved."

For Birth Control "I have been on Slynd for three months and no period at all. I have increased acne, no weight change up or down, but I have been overly emotional and anxious. I went from having my period, like clockwork, with no side effects to a confusing mess. My NP prescribed this because I am 46 and had a high blood pressure reading in her office. She said my other pill could cause a stroke, so she wanted to switch me to Slynd. She said as a plus I would lose weight and not have acne. I am just really annoyed that I don't know when or if I am supposed to have a period and that I get unexplained sadness leading me to cry for no reason. I told my NP about the side effects, and she said just give it a little longer."

For Birth Control "I have been on many different kinds of birth control pills and even the implant. Sprintec worked okay for me before having my baby, but after, I couldn’t be back on it. I also have blood pressure issues, and I’m on medication for that, so naturally, combination pills weren’t the best option anyway. So I tried this type of birth control since the arm implant didn’t work for me either (made me very angry and bleed constantly). Slynd started out okay. Didn’t have a period the first month, the second month I started randomly bleeding for 4 days in the middle of the pack. The next month I started bleeding mid-pack but did for 2 weeks. In the middle of all this, I started having awful headaches. My mind went down the drain. Anxiety so bad. One second crying, then I’m super happy, then I’m so mad. The worst of it all, besides the headaches, would have been the extreme exhaustion. Like can’t even get off the couch exhaustion. I’m getting off of it right now after seeing the reviews."

For Birth Control "So I’ve been taking this birth control for about two months now, about to be on my third month starting next week. My periods haven’t been that bad, truly, I am not gonna lie, I did have cramping, and I did spot for like a week or two before my period. It is just like the mental aspect I do struggle with, like anxiety, and I get extremely sad around my PMS. Same time, that’s why I thought I had PMDD for a long time, but I might just think it’s just like when every time I go on a birth control, I get extremely depressed and very on and off with my feelings. I just can’t control my feelings with this birth control, and I don’t know if I’m the only one experiencing this. Some days I’m happy about life, and other times I just want to push away my loved ones."

For Birth Control "I'm on my 4th month. Still bleeding halfway through a pack and not at all during the time I'm supposed to bleed. My sex drive has taken a nosedive, and natural self-lubricating is pretty nonexistent now. I had some issues with my lips, tongue, and mouth tingling or feeling 'asleep' and some morning nausea when I first started taking it. My Dr. wants me to take it to control abnormal menstruation and fibroids. I also feel off... depressed, but different than what I've felt in the past. I'm more anxious, I feel on the verge of a panic attack, emotionally off."

For Birth Control "I started using this pill after the first one, after endo surgery, which made me bleed for 3 months straight. I have had no issues with bleeding and the bleeding stopped (I skip periods). I am a little moody at times, which is odd for me, but I deal with it, but I did have anxiety and that is pretty much gone. My acne subsided and only a few mild cramps here and there, nothing unusual. The only thing is, after 5 months of no period, I am spotting. But I think that is normal for continuously taking the pill. First pill that my body hasn't rejected. Honestly, I think it depends on the person, so if you are worried about taking this medication, if your doctor prescribes it, go in with an open mind that this medication, like all medication, might not be right for you, or it might be amazing!"

"I am 48 with small fibroids and adenomyosis with heavy bleeding. The first 6 weeks were rough with major gerd, anxiety, tooth pain, and severe thirst. All subsided by the third pill pack. No bleeding at all, endo swelling is gone too! No endo pain! However, this med has caused my liver enzymes to go up and made me more tolerant to thyroid meds, so I needed an increase. 8 out of 10!"

For Birth Control "I am 39 and have been on many different kinds of birth control. All have made me depressed and anxious, some even thoughts of hurting myself. I went to my OB-GYN with complaints of heavy periods. I have been on Slynd for a month and am pleased for the most part. No period, just light spotting. No severe PMS. It did make me hungrier and I put on 5 lbs. It has made me a bit more introverted, but has not had the extreme effects other BC have had. If it stays like this I will stay on it long-term."

For Birth Control "I had been on the combination pill for a long time, but since developing aura associated with migraines and the risk of stroke associated with the combination pill, I was recommended to switch to progesterone only. I started with Microlut, this wasn’t a great experience for me, bringing me back to my teenage years of horrid period pain, etc. This was for roughly a month with spotting, etc., after the initial period (I am giving you some background info to compare with Slynd). I have since switched to Slynd, currently two weeks in. The spotting has stopped, thankfully, I’m assuming it might be from the increased progesterone compared to Microlut. I haven’t experienced any adverse reactions in anxiety or agitation levels, as other reviews have indicated. I am hopeful I have found a replacement for the combination pill, and the cost will be worth it."

For Birth Control "I had to switch BC after 6 years of taking the combination pill because I suddenly started to experience aura migraines. My last oral contraceptive option was Slynd, so I gave it a try. I am quitting after a month. The main reason: I missed my period. I don't like to miss a period. It triggers my anxiety. I am even still recovering from my last anxiety attack that lasted 3 days because of this problem. I just need a confirmation that I am not pregnant, so I rely on the withdrawal bleeding every month. If you feel the same way, I wouldn't recommend this pill. My mood also changed throughout the month, not for the better. Felt a bit more depressed than usual, lol."

For Birth Control "I have been on Slynd for 2 weeks. Have experienced heart palpitations, severe anxiety, fuzzy brain, and skin rashes ever since. Not waiting it out, going to change back to my old birth control."

For Birth Control "I am on my 6th month of Slynd. I was on Yaz before and loved it. But I was having constant migraines. My gyno switched me to Slynd. I have PCOS and endo. I have ChampVA insurance and it's not covered. My prices have ranged from 40 to 90 bucks. I have not had my period the entire time I have been on Slynd, and I have taken the placebo. A few days before, during, and after the placebo pills, I have dark, clotted blood only when I wipe. No real bleeding. My cramps are insane. The cysts are so awful. My back pain/sciatica nerve pain makes me cry. I have cystic acne and a ton of acne all over my face and back. I have never had acne this bad. The worst part... I have gained 30 pounds since starting this!! I am done. While I haven't had any migraines and haven't gotten pregnant... it's not worth my self-confidence that is making my depression and anxiety so much worse (I have had Mirena before and did fine with it. NuvaRing I got pregnant on. I have 2 kids, and I am 31.)"
