For Birth Control "Wish I never went on this. I started gaining weight rapidly. I gained 150 pounds in less than two years. In that time, I did NOT change the way I ate or how often I exercised. So, it was not due to lifestyle changes. Constantly short of breath. Made my hair fall out. Made my eczema worse. I had been off it for 8 years but was getting heavy periods where I would have blood clots the size of baseballs for at least 32 hours. I went to a doctor who told me that because of this medication, I had polyps on my uterus. I had to get them taken out. Just an all-around bad medication, and I don't know how the drug manufacturer does this to people."

For Birth Control "Was using Ocella for a year and gained 10 pounds. Switched to Yasmin, big difference losing weight and my hunger attacks stopped. Recommend it."

For Birth Control "Very bad experience with this drug. I gained a lot of weight. Also, it killed my libido!"

For Acne "I have been on Yasmin for 20 years and not had any issues. It cleared my acne, made my periods pain-free, and I lost some weight. I had endometriosis and was told I needed to go on the pill, and TBH, I tried other pills and they made me moody and put weight on. This one is my holy grail. I stopped it recently as advised by a menopause doctor since I'm 47 now, but have gone back on it as bioidentical HRT, which did not agree with me and I put weight on and got depressed. I am back on it 2 days and feel great. I think everyone is different. As long as you are healthy and work out and do not smoke, it is a great pill for acne and weight gain. I am sorry to hear other people's experiences, but we have to take all things into consideration."
