For Birth Control "I just finished a package of Safyral yesterday, and so far I've had no weight gain, my acne has cleared up some, and my period came when it was supposed to. However, I have had spotting all through the first month, which the doctor said was normal, so I have no complaints other than one really big one. While being on this pill, I have had serious depression. I'm always moody, crying, and sad. I am so sad that I have no appetite, no desire to go out, I'm never happy. In fact, I get raging angry sometimes, and I cannot control any of this. I am hoping that this side effect goes away soon."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for about 2 to 3 months. I have terrible menstrual cramps, acne did clear up. Heavy bleeding during the period, but no breakthrough bleeding. Not pregnant! Very moody and cry over sad songs and sad commercials. I'm going back to the doctor in a few weeks and changing."

For Birth Control "In the beginning, I was very moody for the first two months, but it keeps my periods regular, which is nice. I switched to Safyral from Loestrin due to stress-induced breakthrough bleeding. This pill is very effective as a contraceptive so far, and that would be so helpful if I actually had 1/4 of the sex drive I used to have before using it. Once I hit the 3rd month, it declined drastically. My boyfriend and I went from having sex on average 6 times a week down to maybe once every couple of weeks, and that only happens because I feel terrible that I'm not as into it as I used to be. It's not that anything in that department has changed, I just don't want it. At this point, I'd rather go back onto Loestrin. I would've continued it if I could've."

"I've been on Safyral for one month, and I love it! I had been taking Orth Tri-Cyclen for four years, and I started having heavy breakthrough bleeding, so my doctor gave me samples of Safyral, and I am very pleased. I have not had any breakthrough bleeding. My periods are not heavy at all. I had some cramping during my period, but not bad. I haven't noticed any weight gain or acne. I get very moody before my period, but that happened before I started taking birth control pills. I highly recommend Safyral, it's wonderful."

"This pill was my first birth control experience. I used to get extreme cramps to the point of almost passing out. The pill helped regulate my cycle, and I no longer have cramps, which is great; however, I have gotten extremely moody and less patient with people. I also cry a lot, which is unusual. I have decided to switch."

For Birth Control "I'm 29 and have been on Safyral for 3 months now for irregular bleeding. I have breast tenderness, bad cramps, acne, and I am also very moody! My anxiety level has raised a little, and the bleeding is heavier than normal. This is also my first time ever taking the pill. This is my last pack I'm taking."

For Birth Control "Two months ago, I started taking Safyral because my doctor had high recommendations and gave me three packs for free. I took it for a month and started feeling uncontrollably moody. I want to cry for no reason, and everything I used to love makes me angry and upset. I switched back to my normal birth control after the first pack was done, but then decided to give it another chance since it is free and I wasn't positive that it was the Safyral making me feel this way. Right now, I am on my second pack and feel horrible, moody, and irritable. On the plus side, my breasts got bigger, and I'm not pregnant. I'm finishing this pack, then switching back to my original again."
