"I was sick for several months, lost 20 lbs. Tests were taken by my primary physician, then I was told they couldn’t help me anymore, so I went to the emergency room, was tested, and referred to an infectious disease doctor. She knew immediately that I had a very rare disease, brucellosis. Of course, I had to do blood cultures. They came back positive. She put me on infusions of doxycycline for weeks. I love her, and she saved my life."
