For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm 5'9 and I weigh about 245. I have been on diethylpropion for about 4 days now. I've noticed a big difference. I lost about 5 pounds and I'm still losing. I forget to eat throughout the day. I eat once a day, but I drink fluids a lot, mainly water and sometimes sweet drinks. The taste of food is disgusting to me now, as I have to force myself to eat. The first night, I was unable to sleep, but now I'm getting used to it. Incredible amount of energy throughout the day and crashing at night. Side effects I've experienced include nervousness, anxiety, dizziness. It's still amazing! A miracle pill, after your body gets used to it, side effects are minimal. I hope to lose +50 pounds. I would recommend it to anyone who has trouble losing weight."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "YES and NO! I recently went to a weight loss clinic and was started on this medication. It worked immediately! I didn't feel hungry at all! I ate healthy meals and snacks. With little workout the first week, I lost 6.5 lbs! I was SO happy. Then came the ER visit this morning. :( Yes, I experienced the 'normal' side effects the first 4 days. However, on day 8, I got a stabbing chest pain. Overall, I am a pretty healthy 27-year-old. I knew chest pain could be a serious side effect but didn't connect it to the medication just yet. I noticed a lot of tightness, shortness of breath, dizziness, and fatigue. I got a full workup at the ER which thankfully came back clean. However, I got a very serious talk from the ER MD who said STOP taking immediately. As you can imagine, hearing this sucks. Does it work? Yes! Can it cause serious health risks? Unfortunately, in some people (me), it does."

Diethylpropion for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking Tenuate for about 3 weeks now, and I have lost 10 lbs so far. That was without watching my diet too much and little to no exercise. I asked the doctor to put me on something to help because I might have to have back surgery. I can't do a lot of cardio aside from walking. He put me on this, and I've been feeling so much better. I sleep great, no side effects aside from dry mouth, and I do get dizzy quite a bit. Definitely makes me not want to eat. In fact, if I go to eat something an hour or so after taking it, I feel like I'll get sick if I keep eating. I know it triggers nerves in your brain, so everyone's reaction will be a little bit different. I don't feel like I'm over-energized or 'spacey'. 20 lbs to go!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Took it for 4 months and lost 16 pounds! Had a few dizzy spells, hunger came back after a few weeks! It's okay, it works, nothing was before. Decided to come off, felt grumpy for about 4 days, with a bit of mental scatter. By day 5, started feeling fine again."
