Reviews for Diethylpropion

beautiful disaster · Taken for 1 to 6 months July 17, 2019

"I have been on diethylpropion 25 mg three times a day for almost a month and have not lost any weight at all. I do exercise 5 days a week, so I figured I would see some fluctuations on the scale, but nothing. My appetite has not been suppressed at all with this medication; I actually feel like I am hungrier if that makes any sense. The only positive about this medication is that it does not give me the jittery, teeth grinding, up all night feelings like phentermine gave me."

"I’ve been on this medication for 3 and half months so far lost 29lbs and the first month I lost a lot and now seems slowly shedding a pound or 2 a week. Walked and exercising did help a lot. After the 2nd month seems like the medication doesn’t do me any good, but I know I gotta stay committed to the diet of no sugar."

"diethylpropion ER 75mg Tab LAN. First week I lost 14 lbs no exercise . I’d have a fruit cup a day that week. It makes me thirsty so I drink water. The flavor of food sometimes had an odd taste. I would eat about 4 bites and it was by force. Taking this medication I went from 260lb -217lb in about 4 months and was with no exercise at all. I don’t live an active lifestyle. In the beginning it did make my stool softer. I stopped using the medication for two months and stress ate I gained 10lbs so I’m back on the medication and in 24 hours I lost a little over a lb. this time around I’ll be walking and only consuming small portions of food and having breakfast essential drink (220cal/serving) in the morning and it makes me super full. Anyways this pill helps greatly but in real life moderation is key. We can have what we love just not in excess. I also suggest lose 10Lbs more than your goal bc our weight of course fluctuates and this will allow for stressful times or holidays lol"

Tenuate (diethylpropion): "I have found tenuate helps with focus greatly and keeps me regular with bowel movements. I am allergic to something in the generic .I found that it affects your glucose in some ways,\. In the morning I crave something sweet where the brand had none of these affects. I retain things better and am able to stay on task when I do paper work which is hard for me to sit to do. The 25mg is the best. I used to take the 75mg. some days I only take the 25mg only one time a day instead of 3."

Tenuate (diethylpropion): "I was taking tenuate and for first 5 days I lost 3 kg but next 5 days I lost but 1 kilo. Now I am not sure if I gonna lose anymore weight. I am nearly finishing another 10 days and nothing is happening. I just hope another 10 days gonna better and I gonna lose 5 kg more."

Tenuate (diethylpropion): "I have been on Tenuate for many years - it had initially helped me lose 40lbs- I’ve been in a lot of pain, several back surgeries later- and use medical marijuana (MM) instead of a pain medication. MM I think increased my appetite . In any event I’ve gained 25 lbs. After many years of use, the Tenuate isn’t as effective as it once was. But it has helped me for the last 10 yrs on/ off the medication."

Tenuate (diethylpropion): "I have been taking Tenuate 75 mg for two months and have lost 20 lbs. Unlike other meds I have tried, this one doesn’t keep me up at night, I don’t have the jitters and I don’t obsess about food. It’s a great appetite suppressant!"

"I started this drug about two weeks ago. I am quite pleased with it. I am prescribed 25mg of the instant release three times a day. The first two days it had little effect on my appetite, I was trying to control my hunger, however I would still think I was hungry when I wasn’t. Then about 5 days in I realized I hadn’t really had an appetite and started craving lighter meals like salads and wraps. This drug feels like a stimulant, if you’ve ever been on other prescription stimulants it is about 1/10th of that, but all appetite suppressant. It hasn’t kept me awake, or helped me wake up for that matter, just helped me loose weight. So far I’m down 11lbs with exercising on the elliptical 800 calories one morning a week and eating around 1200 calories a day. This drug does what it says it will. Best of luck."

"I have been on this medicine for almost 30 days and lost 17 lbs while following a low carb, high protein and fiber diet. I would recommend this pill."

"At first I was really nervous to take a pill to help me lose weight, but that was because I was assuming a lot about it. The first day I was a little jittery, like I had just had a cup of coffee or a red bull, but it went away after a couple of hours. Then the second day, I felt a difference in my bowel movement times. That same day I did sit-ups and I felt like I had to run to the bathroom. Other than that, I have literally had zero desire to eat and feel great on this thing! It's only been 3 days and I've lost 4 lbs already. Again, I also run in the mornings and have been forcing myself to eat something because the will to eat is nonexistent and when you do eat. I have turning away chocolate cookies and cakes, which is rare for me! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!"

Tenuate (diethylpropion): "I love this pill. I'm 46, 5'9" and weigh 294lb when I started back on this pill a 9 days ago. Down 10lbs. I am on a doctor supervised liquid diet plan. He prescribed me Tenuate because I never forgot this little helper because on the same style diet plan with tenuate I lost 90lbs about 16 years ago. After my weight loss journey 16 years ago I put back the weight about 5.5 lbs a year. :-( well now I'm back at it just older now. But this little pill hasn't changed, still great. Minimal side effects. I am experiencing side effects of a dry mouth ( so I'm drinking more water) and Insomnia. The insomnia isn't crazy but I'm wide awake for the late late show, whereas I didn't use to be. I'll take the extra TV time over being a over weight any day. Ask your doctor about this pill. It works."

"YES and NO! I recently went to a weight loss clinic and was started on this medication. It worked immediately! I didn't feel hungry at all! I ate healthy meals and snacks. With little work out the first week I lost 6.5 lbs! I was SO happy. Then came the ER visit this morning. :( Yes, I experienced the "normal" side effects the first 4 days. However, on day 8 I got a stabbing chest pain. Over all I am a pretty healthy 27 year old. I knew chest pain could be a serious side effect but didn't connect it to the medication just yet. I noticed a lot of tightness, shortness of breath, dizziness, and fatigue. I got a full work up at the ER which thankfully came back clean. However, I got a very serious talk from the ER MD who said STOP taking immediately. As you can imagine hearing this sucks. Does it work yes! Can it cause serious health risks? Unfortunately in some people (me) it does."

"I was on Phentermine and lost 60 lbs down into my comfortable range but then started gradually going up, plateauing 30 lbs up at 165. Doc put me on Tenuate for a month and I immediately gained 6 pounds while remaining on the same low carb diet. I was actually more hungry than normal."

Tenuate (diethylpropion): "Its good for controlling your appetite but there are some other side effects than mentioned above including several joint pain and stiffness of lower jaw which some times feel like its locked specially when I'm dehydrated and it looses its effect over time so its best to start on lower doses"

"I'm five feet and was weighing in at 152lb. I tried diet and exercise but I wasn't losing any weight. I went to a clinic and got this medicine and just four weeks later I'm down to 139. The clinic did tell me that the medicine works best the first few months and then hardly at all. For me that's just fine bc I'm not wanting to lose more than 30 pounds anyway."

"Completely satisfied with this prescribed medication. The medication truly re-directs your eating habits for the greater good. Minor side effects are dry mouth, anxiety & constipation and will subside by drinking water. I've been on this prescribed medication since May 2017 and am down 20 pounds. Great results so far!"

Tenuate (diethylpropion): "I was prescribed Tenuate extended-release tabs because of my caffeine sensitivity. Of course, I noticed a change but not the jittery/shaky feeling that comes with harsh stimulants. My side effects included nausea, constipation, blurred vision (which I didn't associate to the meds). I lost 15 pounds over a three month period including the winter holiday period but noticed after that I was not losing anymore. Two months later and a 6 lb weight gain, I've decided to stop taking the meds. Immediately, I noticed extreme exhaustion and an inability to get going."

"I took diethylpropion 75 mg 5 years ago for about a year and lost 55 pounds. In that time I noticed my heart rate rise about 10-15 points. Last year due to stress with work and private life also work overload and not having the time for taking proper care if my self I gained it back and some more. I started taking it again 2 weeks ago. And what I noticed, first of all suppresses my appetite for couple of hours and gives me energy for the meantime, but my heart rate doesn't rise anything, the effect doesn't lasts long and I don't loose any weight. Can anyone give me any suggestion how to make things work again. My husband and I would like to have a family/ kids and it would be really important to loose at least 30 pounds."

"I'm 5'9 and I weight about 245. I have been on Diethylpropion for about 4 days now, I've noticed a big difference. I lost about 5 pounds and i'm still losing. I forget to eat throughout the day.. I eat once a day, but I drink fluids a lot.. mainly water and sometimes sweet drinks. The taste of food is disgusting to me now as I have to force myself to eat. The first night I was unable to sleep but now i'm getting used to it. Incredible amount of energy throughout the day and crashing at night. Side effects I've experienced include nervousness, anxiety, dizziness. It's still AMAZING! A miracle pill after your body gets used to it side effects are minimal. I hope to lose +50 pounds. I would recommend it to anyone who has trouble losing weight."

"I had a hysterectomy 4 years ago and gained so much weight. I tried diets, exercise and omg I would just gain more weight! My doctor told me to try this and in 3 days I'm down 8 lbs!! I am so happy to have finally found something that helps. Can't wait for the rest of the nasty pounds to fall off."

"Took it for 4 months and lost 16 pounds! Had a few dizzy spells hunger came back after a few weeks! It's ok it works nothing was before. Decided to come of felt grumpy, for about 4 days with abit of mental scatter. By 5 day started feeling fine again."

Jen1960 April 27, 2016

"I am completely satisfied with this medication. I had a few side-effects the first 4 days (a bit jittery, headache, insomnia, constipation) but all but the constipation has passed. I have been on this for 3 weeks today and am down 11.4 pounds. I am thrilled with it as I had tried Phentermine and had terrible side-effects and had to quit. I am on about a 900 to 1000 calorie daily diet. Drinking lots more water and walking daily. It gives me a good energy....I want to be up and doing things but not like hyperactivity. It's been a great experience, so far."

"This is great drug, I took 75mg for 4 months and lost 30 lbs with no excercise. No side effect at all, but this might not be the case with other people. I took 1 pill in the morning, and basically it allowed me not to eat or feel hungry entire day! I'll have tea and coffee during day and just eat dinner. If I get really hungry, will eat something healthy and very small, like fruit and veggies. I stopped after 3 months since I want to make sure it doesn't screw up my heart. I am seeing Heart Specialist for stress test, my doctor wanted me to get cleared by him if I wanted to continue this medication. I suggest you take this medication seriously, and get cleared for heart condition before start taking it."

"I have tried both Diethylpropion and Phentermine. The Phentermine worked very well! I lost 40lbs with almost no exercise at all. But I experienced dry mouth and the jitters. On the downside I loved snacking and its usually after dinner or right before. I was taking 30 mg and I had NO cravings for anything! I loved it! So I am now on the Diethylpropion 25 mg immediate release which is not cutting it and I talked to my Doctor and he increased the dosage to taking 50 mg a day and still not doing the trick just yet. So its my cravings that are bad especially around my cycle. I will be maybe trying the 75 mg."
