For ADHD "Minorly increases my energy level (maybe just placebo), but makes me feel uneasy, tense, slightly shaky, and colder than usual. Appetite is also suppressed. Negative symptoms are not very bad, but positive effects are nearly nonexistent. Increasing dosage doesn't seem to do much other than make the tenseness slightly worse and reduce my appetite more. Feels more like anxious energy than focused energy. Doesn't help maintain focus on tasks at all. Did not experience any stomach discomfort, no matter what dosage/whether or not I had it with food."

Dexmethylphenidate for ADHD "I have tried a lot of stimulants for my ADHD, and Focalin XR did not work well for me. It makes me feel extremely shaky and anxious, and my heart pounds so hard I can hear it in my ears. It also gives me migraines to the point where my head feels like an overfilled balloon. It makes my hands shake so badly I can’t grip things properly. Obviously, when it comes to ADHD meds, they can affect everyone in different ways, but this one is a no from me."

Dexmethylphenidate for ADHD "This drug did help me focus in school better, but does give me anxiety, not gonna lie. I also suffer from extreme hyperactivity, so it didn’t help with that. I take this drug with an antidepressant, Lexapro. I already have really bad depression, so I wouldn’t say it made it worse or gave me symptoms. If you have a hard time focusing, I think it’s an okay option, but I really don’t like the anxiety it’s giving me."

For ADHD "My 5-year-old son has multiple issues, asthma, mild autism, and ADHD. We tried Vyvanse, and it increased his anxiety, and so does this medication. It is in the same class as Vyvanse but an XR medication. Crying is the major issue. ADHD does not seem in any way altered or improved. He started on 10 mg, and it has been 4 days. He can't tell me how it is affecting his body because of language/communication issues, but the crying several times a day says it all. Not continuing this medication."

Dexmethylphenidate for ADHD "Worst 10-year experience of my life! It gave me bipolar disorder, OCD, and even worse ADHD! It made me get very, very, very bad anxiety, and it felt like I was gonna have a heart explode!"
