"1st night used 50mg....worked like a charm. I have tried everything on the market including cannabis which I am now slowly getting off for sleep. Cannabis worked great but too well in regards to lack of motivation and feeling like life was passing me by and I was just a bystander. This is only one night's experience but immediately I felt sleepy. I have not felt this way in years! Racing thoughts, racing memories, overly anxious for the past 40+ years. I hope I do not build up a tolerance to this drug and it continues to work but it appears many have had bad experiences or it doesn't work. Obviously, those patients who have overactive minds, mania this drug could possibly be a godsend. Terribly expensive but I was spending the same each month on medical cannabis and other prescriptions. Hope to get off of the rest and stick with Pristiq and this. Don't believe all the negative comments, some people have bad nighttime habits like TV, blue lights, eating, and too much caffeine etc. Better than"

Daridorexant "This has got to be the world's most expensive placebo. It did absolutely nothing to help me sleep. After several days of not being able to sleep, I went back to a muscle relaxer and a couple of shots of whiskey, this doesn't always get me to sleep the full night, but I get to sleep quickly. The prescription was for 25 mg, not sure if there are stronger dosages, but it would have to be much more to help me."

Daridorexant "So far, after 2 years of trying others. This one works if you can deal with the dreams. I learned that if you chew them, it works better and less dreams and little to no morning hangovers. This was for PTSD not letting me sleep. Dreams are definitely there, but being able to fall asleep faster after is!!"

Daridorexant "Quviviq must be taken in exact circumstances, and if you’re not extremely exhausted, you won’t be asleep more than 3 to 4 hours tops. This med needs a stronger dose or a way the patient can fix it to best suit us. Like, make a 30 mg, a 20 mg, and a 10 mg pill."

"I've had insomnia for 35 years. Trouble staying asleep primarily; awakening at 3 AM. I used various diphenhydramine or other antihistamines, nausea meds, or muscle relaxants, but usually nothing-just toughing it out. As I became older and found out most of those meds were bad for me, occasional Lunesta was my go-to. I was thrilled to try daridorexant, in spite of the price. I find it improves my sleep on 30% of my nights by a good bit, but is not the panacea I had hoped. I am typing this at 4 AM on one of my many insomnia nights. I may try the Lunesta again, this time every night, just for comparison, because the generic is quite a bit less expensive. No side effects that I have noticed. 50 mg every night."

Daridorexant "Does not work at all. Calling my Dr. Monday morning to prescribe something more effective. Was prescribed 25 mg and had to up it to 50 mg on my own and still doesn't work. I'm going to ask for Ambien and try my luck with that one. Don't waste your time."

Daridorexant "I haven’t slept more than 3 hours at a time and average 4-5 hours a night for the past few years. I retired 8 years ago, so I’m not worried about next-day tiredness, but chronic insomnia is no fun. Tried many Rx sleep meds and was hoping that something new would help. The first time I took a 25 mg dose, I fell asleep in 30 minutes, woke up at 3 am, and instead of being wide awake, I was tired and able to fall back to sleep. The second time I was awake for 2 hours before falling asleep, and when I woke up at 3, I laid in bed wide awake for 2 hours and then got up for the day. Next time, same issues. This medication seems like a placebo to me. Maybe it works for people with mild sleep issues but not for my chronic insomnia."

"Best medication I've ever had for sleep. 10 minutes after taking, you fight the urge to not sleep or just go with it. Hence why you should take it just before going to bed. It's fast acting. Long, deep sleeps with vivid dreams that I don't mind at all. It's different from other usually prescribed sleep aids like promethazine and zopiclone, and you wake up peacefully, not with a headache or dehydrated, confused, or having a hangover feeling. I wake up motivated for the day. This medication honestly has changed my life, it has combated my insomnia but also weirdly made me less calm and stressed. No side effects for me personally."

Daridorexant "Great help for insomnia. I was told it was designed to be taken daily. I was able to take it for a couple of weeks and then move to only occasional use. I’m able to wake easily and have no effects afterward. It’s much more helpful than Ambien or trazodone. The biggest negative is the cost. Fortunately, there is a good copay discount card."

"71-year-old female with 3-month history of insomnia (total lack of sleep 3-4 nights/week). One 50 mg dose every evening at 10 pm produced no help in falling or staying asleep. I've only been taking daridorexant for 4 nights and will continue until tomorrow when I contact my primary care doctor for his recommendation on continuing for a few more nights. Fairly disappointed that this relatively new drug is ineffective in producing any drowsiness."

Daridorexant "I have been on it for 2 weeks, and it has not worked at all. I waited up to 2 hours for it to take effect, and it does not. I had to go back to Ambien 10 mg, and it works great, it kicks in 15 minutes after taking it."

Daridorexant "I just had surgery and have had difficulty sleeping. Maybe this is too powerful for me because I slept 12 hours but was tired the next day, even taking sleep apnea medication. Sticking to herbal melatonin mixture. I was a zombie. Terrible headaches, but I take other CNS depressants, so not a good fit. Unfortunately, I slept like a baby on the pain medication post-op, but they are taboo. Closing my eyes. Good luck, everyone - I can’t find the right mix since my 3 spine surgeries - I thought this worked, but old symptoms returned. Bummed!"

"I had a really good sleep. I went to bed naked after taking it, then taking a bath. I took my inhaler, I managed. Though, I went in bed and was out like a light switch. I had these cool lucid dreams like I used to have with sleep paralysis as a teenager. It was positive, and I felt I didn't want to leave that heavenly space. I'd call this some sort of spiritual experience for me. I woke up excited to tell my dream report. It was odd, but refreshing sleeping. Good quality sleeping. That was the best!"

Daridorexant "This is my 2nd update - been on Quviviq for about a month now. Finding over time that I am developing anxiety and depression in the mornings. I kept taking it thinking it would go away, but it hasn't. I had high hopes as I have tried a lot of other sleep meds. I don't think this med will work for me."

Daridorexant "I've been taking Quviviq for 2 months now. It seems to work, but I'm having terrible nightmares, and it makes me scared of the dark like I'm a child again. It's really strange, I've been sleeping with a night light on for the last few weeks, and I'm in my 50s."

Daridorexant "I had tried everything for sleep, including Lunesta and Ambien, and they would never help me sleep at all. When it’s time to go to bed, I always have racing thoughts, and that’s one of the reasons I can’t sleep. Since I started Quviviq, I can finally sleep again. Once it kicks in, it’s almost impossible for me to have racing thoughts, and that’s the reason I can sleep so well. I have tried so many sleeping medications, and Quviviq has by far worked the best for me. The only thing I don’t like about Quviviq is the very vivid, scary dreams. I very rarely have scary, vivid dreams when I sleep, but since I started the med, I have had very scary dreams. But it seems as my body is getting used to the medication. They are slowly going away. Also, my insurance doesn’t cover it, so it’s very expensive."

"I was a little afraid after reading negative reviews. BUT Quviviq worked so fine for me, 6 hours of solid sleep on average with Dreams I can remember. A game-changer so far. My doctor told me not to take any Ambien or other BZD 5 nights before taking Quviviq to avoid nightmares. Was a little hard but totally worth it."

"I am on the fence with this drug. I don't feel that it works any different to melatonin. I have done 10 days so far with a couple of nights break. I've recorded how many times I wake, and it's still 4/5 times. It has only made me feel drowsy once in those 10 nights, and I had taken melatonin as well. Doesn't feel like a wonder drug, but it wasn't prescribed to me as that. I've had sleep issues for about 8 years. The main issue being trying to get to sleep, anxiety, heart racing, never feeling tired, never yawning (but body needing asleep and rest). I feel sad it didn't give me the tiredness I wanted to feel. I will give it another 20 days as that's what I was given. I get so much anxiety at the thought of trying to sleep. Getting up, I do go back to sleep and was able to before this drug. The bottom line being really that this has no effect on me. The dreams are funky, very current on what's going on in life and memorable - no side effects luckily!"

Daridorexant "Quviviq wasn’t bad the first week, actually, I felt like it really regulated my sleep. But when it came to the third week, I felt like I already needed an increase to 50 mg. I went to 50 mg, and it felt like nothing ever happened. It started to not work anymore. It would definitely help me sleep through the night but wasn’t the best at making me fall asleep quick. I also woke up hours before my alarm, and it was hard to go back to sleep. Everyone is different, so don’t let this stop you from trying it, especially if you’ve tried trazodone, hydroxyzine, or Ramelteon."

Daridorexant "I've only been experiencing insomnia for a few years since menopause hit, and OMG, it's the worst symptom ever. I was just waking up for no apparent reason with my heart racing and just not able to sleep. I've tried many other things but with bad hangover effects the next day or similar effects. I was doing some research and came across Daridexorant (Quviviq). I asked my doctor if I could try it, and he was so reluctant to let me as he hadn't heard of it before because it was so new on the market. Anyway, fast forward, I tried 25 mg the first night and was knocked out in 15 minutes flat until about 7 hours later. I had a slight tired feeling upon waking, but it soon disappeared quickly after my morning coffee. I had slight nausea the next day, but that went away. Maybe my body is getting used to it. So, it's only my third night in, but so far I'm impressed. I don't want to be on it forever, but it's nice to be able to fall back on something if I do get a bout of insomnia."

Daridorexant "I was very hopeful about Quviviq! It took a couple of weeks to take effect. I saw some slight improvement at first, but it didn't really address my main problem, which is staying asleep. I tend to wake up every night around 4:00am, and then I toss and turn until I just give up trying. I'm thinking about going back to Lunesta."

"I have suffered from insomnia for the last 20 years and tried different medications, melatonin being one. Unfortunately, having chronic kidney disease and getting up to have a wee at night, I was unable to get back to sleep with this medication. Then my doctor prescribed me daridorexant. No more problem with getting back to sleep, but the negative side for me was a very dry mouth and headaches."

Daridorexant "I started Quviviq 17 nights ago after 1.5 years of using a THC gummy for sleep. Over the last few months, my sleep had become increasingly fragmented with frequent wake-ups. My doctor suspected prolonged THC use was to blame, so we turned to Quviviq to help me taper off. The good news: I’ve now been off THC for over a week, and Quviviq has absolutely helped stabilize my sleep. But the trade-off hasn’t been worth it. The daytime side effects are rough—constant fatigue, low mood, and a complete lack of motivation. I wouldn’t call it depression, but I feel flat and drained, and as a massage therapist, that’s not sustainable. Even on my worst nights with THC, I still had energy and a good outlook. That’s no longer the case. So, I’m tapering off Quviviq now and hoping I can retrain my brain to sleep without anything."

Daridorexant "I'm totally satisfied with my doctor for prescribing Quviviq. I didn't read any reviews or side effect symptoms. So I'm thinking I'm not prejudiced. I sleep like a rock...have to make sure I have ample time to sleep 8-10 hrs or yes, I'm slightly drowsy, it does clear within a couple of hours. Only use occasionally. Seems to make all body sleep."

"I have tried everything after 20 years of postmenopausal insomnia. Quviviq is a lifesaver. Something I can take without the usual problems with other meds. It doesn't stop me waking in the night, but instead of staying awake, I now go straight back to sleep and wake up calm, not in panic mode."
