Dapsone topical for Acne "I am a 49-year-old woman with acne, rosacea, and sensitive skin, and I have finally found a solution in Aczone. My face is nearly clear. I won't say it's perfect because I do have an occasional stray bump here and there, but my whole face simply calmed down. I've reduced the number of medications I use to three - Aczone, Oracea, and Kuric cream. I am not photosensitive to this like I have been to other topical treatments. It is a little drying, but nothing like some other medicines I've tried. I found an improvement almost immediately. I am thankful that it has been placed on the market. It's worth every penny to me."

Dapsone topical for Acne "After my teen years, I thought I had finally gotten my skin under control. I'm in my early 20s now, and Proactiv just wasn't cutting it anymore. I was developing cystic acne along my jawlines and cheeks, which I have never had before. I then tried the new Proactiv, which made my skin so unbelievably dry and much, much worse. I finally decided to go to the dermatologist and got a prescription for Aczone. For my first use, I put it on right before bed, and the next morning the bumps were, for the most part, flat. I was amazed! I've now been using it for 10 days, and it's crazy how much better my skin is. It's on its way to being completely clear and not dry at all! This is a miracle product!"

Dapsone topical for Acne "I'm a 20-year-old female who's been battling moderate to severe acne since middle school. I've been wearing hypoallergenic Almay makeup since I was 12 because I was so self-conscious of my skin. After unsuccessfully fighting it on my own, I went to a dermatologist who put me on Oracea to take in the morning and Aczone to apply at night. It's only been a week, but I have had zero breakouts! The pimples I had prior to this have vanished, and my dark spots are fading. I use Aczone at night after washing my face with Neutrogena acne-prone skin soap (also recommended by my dermatologist). It has made my skin a little dry, but it used to be so oily that it seems to have balanced things out. Hopefully, it will continue to work!"

Dapsone topical for Acne "Aczone is amazing! I am 36 years old and have had adult acne my whole adult life. As I got older, it changed, but I had never known a time when I wasn't breaking out somewhere. I've been to dermatologists for years, and nothing they gave me ever worked. While my acne was not severe, it did make me self-conscious. I went to a new dermatologist a year ago, and she prescribed Aczone. She told me it could take up to 2 months to work, but I thought I'd try it. This is seriously the miracle I've been looking for, it started working right away. I no longer get cystic acne, and when I do get a blemish, Aczone dramatically cuts down on the heal time, it pretty much makes my acne go away within a couple of days, and I haven't had any dryness."

Dapsone topical for Acne "I had an adult onset of acne at age 37. Out of nowhere, I had 10 to 15 pimples on my face... minimum. I made an appointment with my dermatologist. She put me on Aczone. I used the coupon online and got it for my co-pay (much cheaper... as it is pricey). I used it once a day. At first, my face dried up and my acne increased. However, after a month, I went acne-free... since 2013! If you can get past the first month... you will be all clear! However, once your face is clear, you may be tempted to stop! Please don’t... as acne may return and you’ll have to start all over. Just my 2 cents!"

Dapsone topical for Acne "I cannot tell you how this product helped me. Background: I am 32 years old, never had acne until 30 years old. I went to the doctor and tried this out; it worked miracles. My face purged for about a month, but I let it do its thing. If you use this the way you are supposed to, then this should cure it. I have used it for about 2 months. Yes, my face got dry, it purged, it got red, but it goes away. If you wanna put makeup on after the cream, you must wait at least 30 minutes after application. I swear by this cream; my dermatologist, Dr. Brown. This cream takes time; you are not gonna see results right away. Just like any cream, machine (Clarisonic) needs to purge all your pimples and the ones that are embedded in your skin."

Dapsone topical for Acne "Aczone did not help my acne at all. It made my skin burn when I applied it and also made my acne somewhat worse than before. Its side effects were extremely prominent, and my skin was dry, red, and irritated. I don't think this is the right medication for me."

Dapsone topical for Acne "I have struggled with mild but persistent acne since I was 11 or so, and am now 21 and finally doing something about it! I am doing 3 things: Doryx (oral antibiotic), Retin-A Micro at night, and Aczone in the mornings (and afternoons sometimes). I have seen huge improvement over the last 3 months, though not perfectly clear (mine is clearly hormonal and stress-related, so that's frustrating). Aczone doesn't dry out my skin and make it flake like other topical creams or gels (especially Benzaclin), and it makes my face feel smooth. Strangely, within the last week, I have noticed some itchiness/dryness and peeling, and I don't know why there is this change. I have been more consistent about putting it on twice a day instead of once, so maybe that's why."

Dapsone topical for Acne "I've been using Aczone for close to a year now. I used to use it 2x daily, but now I mostly use it at night along with Differin. Wow, what a difference it has made for my skin! I would recommend using a basic moisturizer as it can be slightly drying. Also, give the medicine some time, it took several months before I saw positive results, but my acne hasn't returned since. It won't clear everything, as I still get an occasional pimple or two, but the regimen I used got rid of my major acne, specifically my forehead."

Dapsone topical for Acne "So I've been on Aczone for 3 full days now, and I know that's not long, but I'm really impressed with this stuff! I had a sudden and embarrassing breakout on my chin/mouth area from switching to another oral birth control (instead of large cystic acne, it was tiny red breakouts everywhere), and I saw an ad for this, so I decided to give it a try. Immediately the next day, I saw it was drying a few pimples! On day 3, I'd say half my acne is healing or gone. I'm hoping a week from now my acne will be mostly gone. It can be drying, but not anything crazy. I use the 5% gel in the morning and at night, along with my Cetaphil cleanser. I don't use lotion at night, but in the morning I use Philosophy Clear Days Ahead lotion and some makeup. I'll update!"

Dapsone topical for Acne "I'm 23. I always had small, mostly unnoticeable blemishes. Just before my 21st birthday, I got pregnant. So my hormones must have changed. I started getting larger pimples with redness, and the breakouts seemed to itch. I went to the dermatologist, and she put me on a regimen that includes Aczone 2x a day, along with Differin gel at night and ampicillin 2x a day, and I wash my face with CeraVe. Though I'm in the 'worse before better' stage, I have to say I like the Aczone. I have extremely sensitive skin, and I have tried many things that result in dryness, redness, peeling, and burning. With Aczone, I don't get anything like that. There's a slight itch that lasts for about a minute. Just remember only a pea-sized amount. CeraVe lotion is good at night."

Dapsone topical for Acne "I had clear skin until I had children, and it has gotten worse over the years. I have now been suffering with acne for 20 years, and it only gets worse. I have been using Aczone 7.5% for over a year, twice daily. It does help shrink large, inflamed cysts, but definitely doesn't stop the acne. I gave it 4 stars because it does help with inflammation and doesn't cause dryness or peeling, but if you are looking for something to prevent acne, this isn't it."

Dapsone topical for Acne "It pretty much ruined my skin. I've been using Epiduo for 5 months now, and it worked amazing, and my dermatologist told me if I used Aczone in the morning, my red marks would go away faster. What it did was create more red marks and made it insanely dry and red and horrible. I was on Aczone for 2 months before I gave up like last week, and now it burns whenever I wash my face, so I have to wait a while for this stuff to drain out of my system. Yeah, don't recommend, but maybe it's because I use Epiduo."

Dapsone topical for Acne "Aczone has worked wonders on my skin. Clears up my acne breakouts in 1-2 days. Doesn’t cause dryness or flaking and really takes down inflammation. I was using Biacna, and I’ve completely thrown that out after using this. Adult cystic acne and regular breakouts. Highly recommend!"

Dapsone topical for Acne "I used this product for about 6 months. I have very sensitive skin (benzoyl peroxide is my biggest allergen). Aczone gave me a similar reaction to benzoyl: dry, burning, red patches all over my face. Not good if your skin is sensitive and prone to rashes."

For Acne "Best acne topical acne treatment I have come across in 20 years, and I have tried many. Non-drying, which is hard to find. It doesn't make your skin peel or get red like many do. Too expensive. Doesn't come in a big enough tube, especially if using on chest and back too, could become very expensive. But it works."

For Acne "Amazing. Tried everything. Started with normal breakouts at 12 years old. Very persistent. Cannot think of a day where there were not 2-3 zits. Also, I’m a picker, which made it so much worse. At the age of 21, I was prescribed this. After having tried everything short of Accutane, I was skeptical. Two months in, completely clear. It is drying. Get a good moisturizer and stay away from face crevices (nose and under eyes)."

Dapsone topical for Acne "I have used every product out there, many did not work, and others made my skin so dry and red. Aczone works beautifully, my skin is very clear most of the time. Highly recommended."
