For Dry Eye Disease "It is working great for my dry eyes. No burning. My doctor told me to keep it in the refrigerator and use drops cold would keep it from burning. He was right. You do have to administer right away after removing from the refrigerator."

For Dry Eye Disease "I have used Cequa for over a year, and it was a miracle drug. I was told (and they were correct) that it would take 3 months for it to work. I had tried other options (Xiidra and something else) and had no relief for my terrible dry eye. It felt awful waiting for the 3 months. I will say, once it started working, it was great. I had much less issue, although nothing has been as good as before I had dry eye. It has always burned when I apply it. Some days, it can be pretty excruciating, but I realize 10-15 minutes of it compared to my dry eye all day makes it worth it. My doctor suggested putting it in the fridge, which I do, but that is minimally helpful. What does help is putting regular eye drops (Systane, in my case) in first, then about a minute later, putting the Cequa in. That really seems to lessen the sting. My only concern now is it's been a year and a half and it seems to have stopped working. I am really upset since the dry eye is terrible again. Not sure if that's normal."

For Dry Eye Disease "I have been developing dry eye over the last couple of years and came to a breaking point this past winter. While I was skeptical about Cequa, it has greatly improved how my eyes feel during the day and I notice how my eyes produce their own tears now. I rarely use other drops anymore, and my eyes don’t feel gritty. Some slight stinging in the minute after I’ve put them in, but nothing severe. Can only hope insurance will cover it in the future."

For Dry Eye Disease "One drop per eye, 12 hr apart. Easy to use. Initial combination with low steroid drops four times a day for the first month that I’ve had before for allergies. Only a few days in and the first day seemed great. Game changer. I’ve started to get blurry vision and it does sting/burn. I am also getting some headaches, which I don’t know if they’re connected. Will check back in with the optometrist."

For Dry Eye Disease "Cequa has worked very well for me. I've been using it almost a year and if I faithfully use it every 12 hours, my eyes feel good. I tried using Restasis, but that distorted my vision so I couldn't read and my eyes burned constantly. I also tried Xiidra and it worked for a few months, but then the constant severe burning started. So Cequa has been useful for me. It's getting more frequent during the night, though, that I will wake up and my eyes hurt from dryness, so then I put in Celluvisc and Genteal ointment to help me through the night. During the day, in addition to Cequa, I use Evotears (Miebo) every 3-4 hours, and the combination of these two makes my dry eyes feel good enough I can read several hours a day. I'm happy with this combination if it continues to work. For the two drugs, I pay about $300 for a 90-day supply and my insurance picks up about half, so it's not cheap."

For Dry Eye Disease "Just been provided with a 3-month sample from the optometrist. Did not want to take OTC options, noting prevalent issues/recalls. Condition had worsened since the last exam two years ago. Packaging is a little confusing for dosage, with a significant amount left after treatment - had to confirm dosing. Burning after the first application, approximately twenty minutes after. Eyes feel 'oily' - probably just the eyelid movement being eased by the drops, but no discharge and no burning on the second dose. LIMITED exposure to two dosages and understanding not really known if beneficial for three months. Just the timing of this survey. Uncertain on most questions below. Send survey in three months."

For Dry Eye Disease "Cequa worked well to relieve my extreme dry eye for 4 months; then I rapidly developed allergic symptoms. For a few days, I experienced sharp burning and excessive tearing when instilling the drops into my eyes. On the fourth day, I woke with severe eye and facial swelling. I have been put on steroid eye drops and will have to pursue a different treatment for my dry eye in the future."

For Dry Eye Disease "I have had dry eye disease secondary to 'probable Sjogren's' (diagnosed by a rheumatologist) for over 13 years. I was on Restasis for many of those years with no real benefit besides making my eyes constantly feel like there were tiny shards of glass in them. I didn't realize that was caused by the Restasis until I switched to Cequa, and that symptom almost immediately disappeared (or maybe it's just that Cequa worked for that symptom whereas Restasis didn't). It was hard to tell if Restasis helped my eyes, but I just continued with it fearing my eyes would worsen without it. I still experience sensitivity to light and secondary blepharospasm, but the Cequa has been a major improvement over Restasis. I have been on it for over 2 years now, and my eye doctor says I have a normal corneal surface now with Cequa, whereas certain areas of my cornea were a bit degraded by my dry eye before."
