Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "The medication had severely dried up my skin. It is constantly peeling. Everything I do to it burns it so bad I want to cry. I can’t even touch around my under eyes. It helped clear up my acne decently fast. I’m going to keep using it, but I hope the side effects go away SOON."

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "I've used this medicine for about a week along with a prescribed antibiotic. I have noticed that it has significantly cleared up. But it's making my face look sunburnt without being in the sun too much. My neck also recently just got really red from halfway up. Overall, it's been decent: peeling, redness, and occasional burning. But so far, I like the results."

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "I'm 19 years old, and I started Veltin on May 17 for both hormonal acne but specifically for the many whiteheads that covered my forehead. By July, my skin was completely clear. I know that this medication did its exact job, but it also came with the side effects of having dry skin permanently, my face becoming red whenever I walk out into the sun, and having random rashes on my face due to how sensitive it is. I'm no longer using the medication because, after I moved from Florida to New Hampshire, my skin was extremely dry, and it caused more problems than benefits. I haven't had a single acne cyst since my skin has been clear. My only problem now is dealing with my skin texture and my skin occasionally peeling if my skin disagrees with something."

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "I have used Epiduo in the past. Veltin appears to help many people and be a great product, it doesn't help me too much! It causes my skin to be irritated, and I automatically started peeling like crazy after one dosage. Everyone is different, but if Veltin isn't working for you, try Epiduo!"

For Acne "This is the only thing that fixed my skin after years of trying many different medications. I've been using it for around 3 months now, and the results are amazing and have worked quicker than any other medications I have tried. When you first start using it, your skin will be incredibly dry and peeling, and many of the skincare products and makeup I used that worked really well for me burned my skin and were very painful. But once you get past that, which probably will take around a month, you will start to see the results, and the burning will stop. My skin is basically fully clear, although I am on birth control on top to help with my acne. I wish I had tried this product sooner, as it's so amazing, but it definitely takes persistence if you want good results, so push through the initial dryness and burning."

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "I've been using this product for about a year, but started to apply it from once a day to every other day to stopping the treatment altogether because it irritated my skin so much that it started peeling and burning around my mouth and nose, then started to spread to my cheeks. It was noticeably red with makeup on and altogether looks terrible. It eventually made my acne from horrible to worse to okay to awful. I don’t recommend this product to people with very sensitive skin."

For Acne "I’m 18 years old and have severe back and chest acne and moderate face acne. I have used this product for about two weeks, and I must say that the acne on my face has calmed down and is nearly gone, but it is getting worse on my chest and back. My chest and face are peeling and burning, and whenever I touch the dry areas, it stings. My back is not peeling yet but is getting worse. I will continue to use this in hopes it might get better, but I’m very unhappy with the dryness. I have to apply moisturizer five times a day, and even then, I still peel and sting!"

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "I went to the dermatologist seeking help for young, hormonal acne before it got worse. I tried clindamycin. It worked until my skin began to break out. My dermatologist recommended Veltin. It worked well, however, my skin dried out. It started to peel back, almost like a bad sunburn. I recommend using Veltin, as long as you use a moisturizer with it. I am going on an excursion out of the country soon, and I was starting to run out. (Note: it is recommended not to use benzoyl peroxide with Veltin, which decreases the effectiveness of the product.) I dismissed this claim, and I am using a non-prescription benzoyl peroxide product at the time of spot treating problem zones with Veltin. No complications have come yet, however, use with caution as this product WILL dry your skin, and even more irritation will occur if using a more vigorous product at the same time. I recommend this product for moderate acne."

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "I've struggled with moderate acne the past several months and finally went to the dermatologist. She prescribed Ziana gel at night, as well as Epiduo for the mornings, an oral antibiotic, and Cetaphil Dermacontrol face cleanser and moisturizer. Like others, the first week of using Ziana gel made areas on my face where the acne was worse slightly red and peel. However, I have noticed a HUGE difference in my skin, and it's only been a week. I also have been drinking a lot of water (hydrating from the inside out) as well as using regular Cetaphil after I apply the gel at night. The day I saw my dermatologist, I also had a facial done after my appointment, so I think that has helped me not have the 'purge' phase some people are talking about."
