"I got this drug two weeks ago because of a persistent jaw bone issue. The doctor wanted to see if it would improve its outcome. I cannot tolerate oral antibiotics at this point. The shot given into my hip was immediately painful down the leg and into the back. She said it would be painful. That night it was still very painful, and I began getting random nerve pain all over my body, my throat became painful, and blisters on the back of my throat. It was the weekend, so I didn't call in. When I did, they said they would put it down as an allergic reaction to the shot. It has taken two weeks for my throat to calm down, the nerve pain throughout the body is much less but still occurring. There are still blisters on the back of my throat, and I feel awful still. I would never get this drug again for any reason. This was given as a shot 1000 mg into my hip. I am 70 years old."

"Went to urgent care for a bad case of pharyngitis. Previously, I was on amoxicillin for ten days, which seemed to help, but the infection came back. The doctor ordered blood work and a gram of IV Rocephin. The Rocephin was pushed for 30 minutes, and it hurt a bit going in. I was put on oral Axetil for another ten days. It’s been four days since the IV, and the injection site is tender, and I have a huge red bruise that wraps around and extends to the elbow. The throat feels better — my arm, not so much."
