Calcium / vitamin d for Osteoporosis "First of all, the calcium in this supplement is calcium carbonate, which is harder to absorb than calcium citrate. This is just a heads-up on anyone wanting to take this. I recommend calcium citrate as the best absorbed and beneficial source of calcium or calcium gluconate."

For Dietary Supplementation "This vitamin supplement caused frequent and severe cramping of my legs. This cramping started to occur with increasing frequency after taking this supplement for a couple of months. After one week of stopping this supplement, my cramping ceased."

"I started using OTC, MRM’s Bone Max III, a year ago, having a T-score just into the osteoporosis level in my left hip and osteopenia in my right hip and spine. It contains calcium, D3, K2, phosphorus, boron, zinc, magnesium, etc. in a formulation designed for good absorption. My bone densities have improved! I take 1 capsule in the morning & 2 in the evening, easily, with my other vitamins. I walk and do leg exercises 3-4 times per week. I went from a T -2.6 to a -2.4 in that left femur, and my spine readings have returned to “normal.” I couldn’t be more pleased with this product."

Calcium / vitamin d for Osteoporosis "Took generic Caltrate for over a year, suffered nightly with severe skin sensitivity on torso, stopped pills and had immediate relief. Did research on fillers and I think I have a sensitivity to tartrazine, a yellow dye that is a listed ingredient. Spent over a year trying to find out what was causing this painful condition, never read of or heard of anyone with the same symptoms. Just in case there is anyone out there who has this extreme sensitivity, check non-active ingredients on any prescribed or OTC med. It could be one of the fillers, this one in particular has a bad rap."
