For Anxiety "Thought this was a miracle drug for me. At first, I was taking 5 mg a day, twice a day, with no side effects. NO SIDE EFFECTS, it was a dream! Since I tried all the SSRIs with no luck, due to intolerable side effects, I had very high hopes. Once day six came around, I started to feel the drug working more. That night, I came home after working two 12-hour shifts back to back, and I had the worst insomnia of my life. I have NEVER EVER had trouble sleeping after my twelve-hour shifts. I was up for almost 24 hours, it was so bad, and I was absolutely exhausted and miserable. Needless to say, I deemed the insomnia not worth taking this drug."

For Anxiety "I have been on buspirone 5 mg for 3 days. I take it 3 times a day. I never had a sleeping problem, now I can't sleep. Also, I had never been treated for anxiety. I hate taking pills, so I stopped it right now. Also, the side effects are ridiculous, so there is no reason to take it anymore."

For Anxiety "I was put on buspirone for anxiety after a severe panic attack. After about three days of taking this at 7.5 mg 2x a day, I noticed my stool had gotten significantly softer, and I stopped being able to sleep. I’m not even a full week in, and I’m deciding to stop due to the headaches, chills, and severe (almost unbearable) insomnia I’m experiencing due to this medication. In a mental sense, I feel it has maybe touched some of my previous anxiety, but alas, the side effects are just too much for me at such a low dose. I feel I should also mention that the confusion that comes with taking this pill is very unnerving and contributes to your anxiety as well."

I have sleep issues due to being a night shift person and probably anxiety, so I'm on Ambien as well. Lately, I'm having worse sleep problems and having weird dreams. I've read that buspirone can cause insomnia. Planning on taking my dose all at once during my waking hours. Anyone taking it just once a day? And what's your experience?"

For Anxiety "I strongly recommend you find out if you're allergic to this medicine before you start using it. Also, I suggest that whoever is reading this, I urge you to try something else more natural because this medicine, all it did was make me worse, couldn't sleep, couldn't breathe, couldn't walk. It was horrible. So I do not recommend this at all if you're a wimp like me."

Buspirone for Anxiety "I was prescribed BuSpar for anxiety. If I knew that BuSpar had the side effects that I got, I would never drink it. I drank it for 4 days only, and it almost got me killed. I started having panic attacks, I could hardly breathe, I had electric shocks, brain zaps, horrible medicine. I quit right away. Little did I know that quitting even after 4 days would cause side effects. I could not sleep for 2 weeks afterwards, I thought I was dying. Horrible medicine. I will never drink any antidepressants or anti-anxiety medicine that is not natural!!!"
