"I have been on so many meds to find one that helps. My psychiatrist finally prescribed Aplenzin. It works! My insurance company doesn't want to pay (obviously, at over $2,000/month). They insisted I switch to Wellbutrin SR. I became extremely depressed with suicidal thoughts. My psychiatrist contacted the insurance company and got them to 'prior approve' it so I could continue on it. I had to add Zoloft to it, but I can finally live a (mostly) depression-free life. I honestly don't know where I would be without it."

"Having gone through a boatload of antidepressants over the years, the last ones quit working. The doctor gave me samples of Aplenzin. What a difference! A few weeks in, symptoms unrelated to depression cropped up. First thought was a drug interaction, although none of my symptoms are listed as side effects. So not on any antidepressants, and fearful of what's going to happen. Cost is a major issue. Even with insurance, $20/day. God bless my doctor, as while I was taking it, he loaded me up with samples."

"Was on generic bupropion for 6-8 weeks with no help for my motivation and fatigue. Doctor said the generic can be different and not work for some individuals. She put me on 174 mg, and at first, I had the worst anxiety. So bad that I had to go see a chiropractor and get help with severe back pain. So she upped my dose of Zoloft by 50 mg and said to eat before taking the Aplenzin. I did, and within a week, I was feeling amazing. Tons more motivation and no fatigue. I’m being able to leave my house without debilitating anxiety and fear. I have GAD, PTSD, MDD. I know from being on meds since I was 15 that the side effects can be awful. Stick with it and communicate with your doctor. I’m glad I did because I feel amazing."

"I’ve had depression for 20 plus years. Been on everything with minimal help. As soon as I started on Aplenzin I felt so, so much better. 522mg was too much. It caused increased anxiety and jitters. I wish there was one in between the 300 plus one I can’t remember. 344? Anyway, it’s a magic drug. I’m lucky to have CHAMPVA. It pays in full what my other doesn’t."

"After many, many, many different antidepressants, even standard doses of bupropion, my doctor and I decided to try Aplenzin. What a world of difference it’s made. I’m extremely treatment resistant and was facing ECT or ketamine before Aplenzin. Pro: Effective, no side effects. Con: $$$$$"

"Tried taking in place of regular Wellbutrin due to migraines, and I was able to tolerate it, but it made me feel flat, sad, and agitated. It’s very expensive, and I stopped taking it."
