For Atopic Dermatitis "When did a cream become an ointment? I used this cream around 2000-2001. It was very good and absorbed into the skin and left the skin soft, non-oily. Now, 2020, and oily, non-absorbent, and seems to have changed formula. Still a good treatment, but NOT as good as it was."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I've used an assortment of medicated creams and ointments in my lifetime of battling eczema. Currently, this is the one that keeps it mostly controlled. It doesn't eliminate it altogether, but it works well. I apply it at night and put gloves on (nitrile gloves), which helps significantly since my hands are what is affected, and it is really difficult to keep medications on long enough otherwise."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Betaderm cream has not helped at all. The rash is now processing up the side of my face. I have oily skin, and this cream is very thick and oily. Probably the wrong thing for me. It is expensive since I don't have a plan, and I was given 2 jars, where one would have been more than enough to experiment with."

Betamethasone topical for Atopic Dermatitis "I used to use this when it came as a foam option. For dermatitis breakouts that left my forehead burning with red blotchy skin, often a single dose of Luxiq would make it go away overnight, entirely. Truly amazing. I only had to use it once or twice during the odd flare-up. The only side effect was initial burning that subsided in about 15-30 min. I think they discontinued the foam, but you should check as it really helps."

For Dermatological Disorders "I suffer from a painful, red rash on my upper chest. I used to use sulfacetamide that worked well, but my insurance company removed it from their coverage, and the price went up from a few dollars to more than $300 for a small bottle. Accordingly, I switched to betamethasone, and it works just as well. So does an elemental sulfur-containing cream, but it was too effective and resulted in mild chemical burns."

"Topical, prescribed for severe itching on my feet. I've suffered with itchy feet for a year. Late 2022, it began. Uncontrollable itch, which would only happen sporadically, alcohol applied with a cotton ball relieved the itch. (Recommended by a friend.) I'd be on the beach, and suddenly the flare-up! I'd search for a boulder to rub my extreme, itchy foot/feet. I couldn't take it. Saw a dermatologist and she did a biopsy on each foot. The alcohol helped a little. Ice helped a little. Antifungal foot spray helped a little. 13 months of itch!! The results were eczema. I know she's well educated, and I trust her, but the betamethasone topical is only helping...a little."

Betamethasone topical "I have had piles for years now. I have a large tub of Betaderm 0.1% and Clotrimaderm 1:1 mixed topical cream. I need it every month. They keep coming back because of chronic diarrhea. Recently they have been internal, external, and another prolapse. This cream works! 3 doses morning, afternoon, night. Within 48 hours, they are almost gone. I did burst a few. Oh, blood. It does nothing for pain. NSAIDs hurt my intestines. I am sitting on a gel ice pack and using a witch hazel product too."

For Dermatitis "It worked well for me where other preparations failed. I used a sparing amount, applying only to the affected area and rubbed in well. Twice a day was prescribed for me and, over the course of a couple weeks, the persistent red patches faded completely away."

"I was prescribed this product to deal with a severely itchy, blotchy rash that seems to be spreading on my lower legs. It does relieve the itch but does not seem to have any impact on the rash of blotchy spots. The rash has now spread to my other leg. The product has not contained it or resulted in any actual healing. I was advised to use the product for 2 weeks to produce relief from the condition. I have had to refill the prescription 4 times already to deal with the itchiness."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I have used it for years - works okay. I get the 15-gram tubes. But in all these years, I have found EVERY tube to be 30% empty in the middle. I have no doubt that it is done by clever design of filling equipment or they will always have too much left over in the supply pipes. The trick is to give less product for the same cost!"

For Atopic Dermatitis "I had eczema for many years, and after many doctor visits, I was finally prescribed this medication. I use it almost daily, and my skin is so beautiful and soft, with no inflammation, redness, or itch. There were no side effects for me, and I only needed to use a small dab, just to cover the surface area lightly. It does not sting or burn; I cannot say enough good things about this cream."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I randomly flared with eczema all over my body and was prescribed Betnovate. At first, it worked and got rid of the eczema, however, I remained very itchy, so it would just keep coming back. I had to keep applying it, and eventually it wouldn't even last for one day. I used two tubes over a 5-month period. I developed a face rash, which I believe is a side effect of the Betnovate, and my eczema spread even further to my feet. It just didn't seem like a good long-term option, so I stopped all use and then developed even more side effects: red, burning skin all over, extremely dry skin, and swollen lymph nodes. After about a month of not applying it, my face started to get a bit better. Five months later, my face has significantly improved, and my body is also a lot better than it was when I was using Betnovate. I'm still going through what I believe to be a withdrawal from Betnovate."
