For Acne "I began using this 6 months after I developed 'mask-ne' (prior to this, I had balanced, clear skin). I specifically asked my doctor to prescribe me this because I'd used OTC BP products before, and I knew I'd be careful and resilient throughout the process. I actually used it once a day rather than twice a day, and even gave myself breaks once in a while so that my skin didn't become dependent on it. My skin was occasionally a bit dry, but I didn't purge (thank goodness!) and used plenty of moisturizer. Flash forward 6 months later and I only get one pimple or so a month, smooth skin and no bumps, and the only thing left are faint scars that I'm tackling with Vitamin C! I'm incredibly happy with my results and would recommend it to anyone wanting to clear their 'mask-ne' or acne."

Benzoyl peroxide / clindamycin topical for Acne "I found that it made my skin dry, red, and patchy. Dry/red/irritated skin, on top of acne, was not ideal! So I decided to come off it only 2 weeks into starting it. I know I should've probably given it a better chance, but I just thought it made me look 10 times worse than having acne alone! It made me look like I had another skin condition. It did dry out my skin majorly, and even 2 weeks later I still have the dry patches, although I am moisturizing well. For some that worry about oily skin contributing to acne, this could be a positive. I just note that it is a very, very harsh cream, and anything with the ability to bleach my towels would, in my opinion, be too harsh for my skin."

For Acne "I have always had pretty minimal acne, thank goodness, but when I got pregnant and had babies, I feel like I experienced some hormonal acne during the process. After my second, when my body was regulating all the floods of hormones that come with birth, I gave this cream a shot because my breakouts seemed more than usual. Clindamycin phosphate and benzoyl peroxide gel, 1.2%/5%, made a world of difference for me! Because I read many reviews saying it could dry your skin out badly, after I rinsed my face with cool water, I would apply a small amount of moisturizer, then the gel right after the moisturizer before bedtime. I really like this product! It works great with my body chemistry."

Benzoyl peroxide / clindamycin topical for Acne "This stuff is amazing for clearing your skin. Only downside is it can make your skin quite dry. I would recommend making a natural blend of honey, used coffee granules, and oatmeal to exfoliate the dry skin. If you're struggling with acne, I would definitely recommend trying this product out."

Benzoyl peroxide / clindamycin topical for Acne "If I could give this a negative, I would. After one use, my skin was so tight and dry and looked as if I had leather for skin. My face became bright red like a sunburn. At first, I thought I was having an allergic reaction, and the leathery feeling was hives, so I took Benadryl. Nothing changed. I’m on day 3 and still have awful skin. I only used it once, and I want my money back. This is the worst skin cleanser I have ever used, and I advise anyone to use over-the-counter face wash instead."

For Acne "It's been only two days, but I don't feel any itching or flakiness or redness. Is it normal, or does that mean the medicine isn't working? I feel a better texture on my face, though. Please help!"

Benzoyl peroxide / clindamycin topical for Acne "I've been putting up with acne for 3 years, and now have been using this product for a few months, and for me, it's the best solution to clear up my skin. I can also recommend Acnecide gel, which you don't have to get from the doctor, but it doesn't have antibiotics in it like Duac does, so it isn't as strong. It still works, though. I put my gel on and follow it up with an oil-free moisturizer, so it isn't dry, and I do this for my face, chest, and back. Incredible results. I'm so much more confident and never thought I had any hope of my skin clearing up. The only thing is you have to persist with it. I waited about a week for my doctor prescription to deliver to the pharmacy near me, and my skin got bad again within that time, but not as bad as it had been before."
