Amphetamine for ADHD "This medication is fabulous for me. I have no side effects, no crash, and it seems to last 10-12 hours. The only clue I get that it either is wearing off or has worn off is feeling a little bit hungry late at night. Sometimes I eat something healthy when that happens and sometimes I go to bed since it's late by that time. I can focus, but I also have energy. I'm eating a bit less, but I notice the difference in how great my house is looking (organized) and how my FitBit is hitting over 10,000 steps daily. I started on Cotempla XR-ODT first, and it made me tired and disorganized. I quit after 1 week. Then tried Adzenys XR-ODT and slowly increased the dosage to 18.8. That seems to be the perfect medication and dosage for excellent results for me. I normally eat very clean, but 2 snack-size Halloween candy bars made me feel nauseous and dizzy. So I will avoid sugar and limit caffeine. I don't drink coffee, only tea, so not an issue. This medication is a miracle."

Amphetamine for ADHD "I’m 31, female, with multiple co-morbidities to ADHD including ASD. On Adderall, I eventually get aggressive, always felt like a wind-up toy. Vyvanse I took for over 5 years and it was my best option. It was always rather intense whenever it would kick in and would almost always land me hyperfocusing on random things that I’d be doing waiting for it to start working. With Dyanavel, I feel the most level and clear-headed I’ve ever felt in my life. It lasts even longer than the Vyvanse did. My appetite seems less impacted as well. Really couldn’t be happier I switched. Absolutely worth the try. Regardless of what anyone says, remember everyone is different and you can always just switch off it if it doesn’t work for you."

Amphetamine for ADHD "Wow! I was prescribed 15.7 mg Adzenys XR-ODT in place of 30 mg XR + 2 10 mg IR Adderall due to shortage. At first, I felt spacey and anxious, so I split the tab in half. After the third day, it was like a miracle, I’m more focused, and it’s way smoother than the Adderall (now taking a full pill). I feel way more like myself, and I also notice that I don’t have the same edginess I did on the Adderall. I had no intention to switch medications, but I don’t think I’ll be going back to Adderall as this seems to be a much better option for me (inattentive type). I think that initial switch was the cause of the weird feeling at first, but I’m glad I stuck it out because I feel way better."

Amphetamine for ADHD "My 9-year-old has been struggling with staying focused at school. I gave him a very small dose of Dyanavel XR, and it had no effect on his focus. I increased the dose to 3.5 ml, and I received a message from his teacher informing me that he had a great day at school. He finished all work in class on time, raised his hand to answer questions, and participated in class discussions. I cried happy tears. He has only been taking it for a few days, but I can't wait to see what he does for the rest of the school year. He did say that he wasn't very hungry at lunch, so it may possibly affect his appetite."

Amphetamine for ADHD "Adzenys 15.7 mg was my saving grace. After a bunch of trial and error and months of trying other ADHD medications that never worked, I was ready to throw in the towel. I was up to a high dose of Adderall daily that I had never felt anything with besides painful crashes, and Strattera made me feel wired and foggy. Adzenys was my perfect puzzle piece after constant frustration with Adderall somehow never working and Strattera inducing severe anxiety. Adzenys is a subtle jerk forward for me and doesn't wire me too hard on things to the point of being antisocial and anxious. I still feel like myself on this medication, just a version of myself that strives to be productive and aim for better habits. That being said, though, my task initiation isn't really there, but once I get myself to sit down and start one, I can controllably focus on it to the degree I want. It is definitely extended release and can feel it hit at random times harder than others, but I've never had a painful crash."

Amphetamine for ADHD "Excellent medicine for those who just want to have focus without the euphoria or racing thoughts that often make us anxious. I've been taking Adderall IR generic from (Teva) for over 5 years. I changed a few times to Adderall XR brand when I couldn't find Teva's on the market anymore. I came to the generic by (Lanette), which works, but it makes me much more agitated and anxious than focused with tasks. Evekeo won't give you that euphoria that Adderall gives, but it will give you the results you need from your treatment because I just changed it, and I soon realized that I was finally able to do things without overthinking and not knowing where to start. Evekeo is purer than Adderall because it is amphetamine sulfate only, with the composition (levoamphetamine) 50/50 (dextroamphetamine). Adderall is a mixture of salts containing 4 types of salts, and the composition is (levoamphetamine) 25/75 (dextroamphetamine). I take 10mg 4x a day = 40mg. If 20mg pills were made, it would be great."

Amphetamine for ADHD "Evekeo is amazing! I've been on it for the past 8 years-I was one of the first people to do the trials before it became available. After trying nearly every type of ADHD medication, Evekeo is my favorite. It uplifts my mood more than Adderall, doesn't make me feel overly twitchy like Adderall does, and doesn't give me any anxiety like Vyvanse or Ritalin did. The only downside is sometimes I get chest pain; but I'm not sure if it's entirely related. All amphetamines can age your internal organs faster than people who don't take them, so keep that in mind."

Amphetamine for ADHD "15.0, then increased to 17.5 (I believe that’s the correct dosage, I know it’s 15 to 17)... Anyway, didn’t know I was so ADHD until I went off of it. ROCKY to transition onto the med—extremely emotional, but my God, I had an issue filling the script one day. I didn’t realize how inefficient I was before. I kept losing everything, it was so bad. Changed my life. After adjusting, I have had no problems."

Amphetamine for ADHD "After trying every methylphenidate and non-stimulant-based medication possible, my doctor told me that she was thinking of me when she read about Adzenys. She thought it would be a good fit. I can't thank her enough! I know it's only Day 1, but today my head has been clear, focused, I've been able to accomplish so many tasks! My feet are cold, but that's nothing new. I had the same side effect on methylphenidate."

Amphetamine for ADHD "My daughter has been on a few other medications. The first one worked well with a few long meltdowns. They switched her to QualiChew, and that made her angry and defiant. She was just switched to this Dyanavel a week ago, and it's been amazing so far. Not one meltdown about anything, which is huge for her! Seems to be focused and overall a sweet and happy girl. Pray it stays this way!"

Amphetamine for ADHD "For my limited purposes, Evekeo has worked great. I use it as a booster dose late in the day. The difference between this med and Adderall is that Evekeo is 50/50 d- and l-amphetamine, whereas Adderall is 75% d/25% l. Theoretically, that change to 50/50 should decrease the “high” dopamine feeling mg-for-mg and increase norepinephrine release, which could increase cardiovascular side effects. But for me, I only take 10 mg, so it’s like a cup of coffee with better focus late in the day. At higher doses, maybe Adderall would be better, but as a booster, I find Evekeo to be effective and free of any significant side effects."

Amphetamine for ADHD "My son has been on this medication for over 2 years, and it had been a lifesaver. He doesn't turn into a zombie on it. He eats and sleeps well. Now my insurance is trying to deny him the meds until he's tried everything else. Except he's already tried everything else. I'm so over these insurance companies. They don't want to see anyone get better."

Amphetamine for ADHD "I have taken medication to help with my ADHD since I turned 8 years old. I have struggled to come to terms with the fact I need medication every day to function how society needs me to. I have tried 7 different medications from the start of my diagnoses until now (I am 23). This medication, Adzenys XR-ODT, is the best that I have taken so far. The best part is that I am not afraid to have it just starting out at my desk or at home. Now, one really knows what it is, and so they will be less likely to steal it. It works great and never drowns me out."

Amphetamine for ADHD "My son has been on this for a year. I love this medication since little to no side effects. His focus and constant going have improved dramatically, yet not a zombie and can sleep and eat with no problem. No crankiness when it wears off either. He hates the taste. Only issue is the coupon for $20 a month just expired. They gave a new number, but the price really went up. This month is now $228!!!! May have to find a new type, and I’m quite sad about that!!! I was denied even with prior approval from the doctor. Darn it!!!"

Amphetamine for ADHD "My 10-year-old has been on this for 2 years, we were the guinea pigs and were the first to try this medicine at his doctor's office, and it has literally been a lifesaver. His whole life that he has had ADHD has now changed for the better after starting Dyanavel. The school has noticed a huge change for the better, and he actually enjoys life now. He is on 7 mg daily."

Amphetamine for ADHD "I’ve taken several medications for my ADD, and none of them worked as well as Adzenys. Vyvanse was good, too, but I still felt a somewhat noticeable crash with it. I didn’t believe my doctor when he said Adzenys didn’t have a crash, but he was right. At least for me. I feel no crash; the effect smoothly tapers off, and it’s actually much easier for me to fall asleep now. I highly recommend giving Adzenys a try if your current ADD med is giving you side effects."

Amphetamine for ADHD "This has been a great medicine for my son. He has tried six different meds but never stayed with them because either they didn’t last all day, stopped eating, had trouble sleeping, experienced mood swings, crashed hard when the meds wore off, were ineffective, or turned him into a zombie. He is five but almost six years old, and he is taking 3.5 mL at around 7 AM daily. It wears off around 6:30 PM, and there is no hard come down. Before this med, we had to give my son melatonin every night for him to be able to fall asleep before midnight. We don't have to anymore. This is also the only med where he has an appetite. I was having to force-feed him his meals because he would never want to eat on other meds. Now he is eating great and healthy. It’s also so great to see my son’s personality and humor shine on this medicine because it works well enough to slow his brain down from the 100 mph it usually goes, so he can focus on saying proper sentences and conveying his thoughts, but without turning him into a zombie."

Amphetamine for ADHD "Dyanavel XR has been a blessing to my boys. ADHD highly affected them both by the time they reached third grade. My boys are both honor roll students now in an academic challenge magnet school. I too was against meds, but I had to save my boys' lives. The best decision I ever made. The school is very impressed."

Amphetamine for ADHD "This medication is a million times better than Adderall for my ADHD symptoms-lack of motivation, emotional dysregulation, sensory overload, procrastination, and feeling overwhelmed by even the simplest, most everyday tasks. Adderall also caused side effects such as upper gastrointestinal issues, irritability, and the dreaded crash. Adzenys does not, for the most part. I also like how the drug is brand-name, I know what I'm getting each month rather than the 'generic roulette' of Adderall, where every generic was different (yet none was as effective as Adzenys). Finally, I think the orally disintegrating tablet (tastes good, by the way) makes the drug more consistent than if it were swallowed and wholly processed via the GI system. No one seems to know about this medication, it's too bad because it is a gem for my ADHD symptoms. I hope it isn't discontinued for this reason."

Amphetamine for ADHD "I went through Adderall IR, Adderall XR, and Vyvanse before trying Adzenys, and boy, am I glad I did. Adzenys has a nice, gradual come up and keeps me focused all day. At the end of the day, there is absolutely no crash at all. This was always a major problem for me, the way these medications caused me to crash hard as they were wearing off. If this is an issue for you, I would suggest you ask your doctor about Adzenys. I'm glad I finally found a medication that worked so well to control my ADD."

Amphetamine for ADHD "It is very helpful for me. It takes time getting used to and should be taken with food or it can be a bit much. I can concentrate, and the effects are not extreme. The onset is softer and slower than most other medications, which I like and probably means it has a lower abuse potential. It must be taken early in the day. Falling asleep is easy, but the temptation to stay up late is increased if taken after 9-10 AM. It has a 13-hour release time, so 9-10 AM means it wears off at 10-11 PM if you take it that late in the morning. I notice it can make my tinnitus worse sometimes, especially if I am lacking sleep that day. This should 100% not be prescribed to children or teens. It is a stronger ADHD med for fully formed brains. I have tried Vyvanse, Adderall, Ritalin, Wellbutrin, and Zoloft throughout my life, and this is the first medication I feel really works for me, but I have extreme mental instability due to physical issues and am a male adult in my late 30s."
