For Migraine Prevention "Background - I'm male, 44 from the UK and have suffered from migraines since age 16. Treatments tried: - Ibuprofen (fairly pointless on its own, not strong enough to really help) - Sumatriptan & Ibuprofen (often works within an hour if I take quickly enough upon symptoms, other times nothing helps). Preventions tried: - Propranolol (NIGHTMARE, made me dizzy, which in turn brought on migraines) - Amitriptyline (worked my way up from 10 mg to 50 mg, which is the sweet spot for me. Don't want to go higher as it leads to possible dementia later in life. My migraines are less severe and far less common, reducing from a few a week to a mild one every 3 weeks. If I forget or get lazy taking the tabs, the migraines return within days. Hope this helps, and good luck everyone!"

For Depression "Well, I have only taken it for 2 nights as of today. The first night, I took around 50 mg, and I felt like I couldn’t get up for most of the day and was dizzy, so I halved my dose again for tonight. I have to say I’m a little scared of this medicine, but I have read some good reviews on this page, so I am going to keep taking it and see if some of the side effects let up. I was also pretty moody and feeling angry for the day, so I hope all this passes, from what I read, it will hopefully. I will post again in another week and tell my results, hopefully, they are good because I have tried everything for my depression and lack of motivation."
