For Chronic Pain "I have been going to a pain clinic for 6 years. Was on Norco 5/325, helped for a while till my body got used to it, so the doctor switched me to Percocet/Oxycodone 5/325. I've been on it for 3 months. As for pain, it's been helping really well, at least for me, and right now, on a scale of one through ten, it brings my pain from an 8 down to a 4 or 5, depending on how bad I'm hurting (have bulging L4 & L5 discs in back and SI joint problem along with arthritis and muscle spasms). That gets so bad that I can't stand for long periods or sit long, nor can I lift a lot of heavy stuff including my kids without hurting. But since I've been on this, my pain isn't pain-free, but it's manageable, so I would highly recommend it. But if you have to take it, make sure you eat first, it will make you feel nauseated."

For Pain "When I first began taking Percocet 5/325 for disc protrusion L5-S1, I became very constipated. My doctor prescribed Polyethylene Glycol, a powder for oral solution. This is Maalox, and it has been a Godsend for me. I am no longer constipated since about 6 months ago. Just take it as prescribed, and it truly works."

For Chronic Pain "The longer I take it, the less effective it is. It actually makes me feel alert and nervous rather than sleepy and calm. Since the pain is still there, I want to take a larger dose, especially at bedtime. If I don't fall asleep right away, I begin to feel anxious and wide awake."

For Chronic Pain "I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis, it took about two years for the full debilitating effect to kick in. Eventually, I was in constant pain and could barely walk. I had a lumbar laminectomy, which did not work to relieve the pain. After complaining to my doctor, he finally prescribed Percocets. They were nothing short of a miracle in terms of pain relief, with minor side effects."

For Pain "It does very well for pain; I have fibromyalgia, and it works for me. It allows me to be able to keep up with my 4 active boys: ages 15, 10, 7, and 2. The only reason I don't give it a 10 is that it works quickly, but it completely kills my appetite. I otherwise love this medicine."

For Pain "This is the only narcotic for pain that does not cause nausea for me. It does make me lightheaded after 20 minutes of taking, and for a few hours after. There is no way I could drive the first 3-4 hours after taking this. I'm currently taking this short term for a pinched nerve."

For Pain "Dr. gave these to me for my gallstones until I could have surgery. I kept having attacks every couple of days. Took 2 and it saved the day! I had a baby 3 months ago, so being able to take something, stay active, and alert was important to me. I'm supposed to be on similar meds for my other conditions, but I am not one for medications as they either work really well or not at all."

For Pain "Used Percocet when I got my wisdom teeth out. It made the pain tolerable. But the nausea was worse than the pain would have been. I could not even close my eyes because I was so dizzy and sick to my stomach. I had to call the doctor for another pain killer."

For Pain "I am recovering from last week's shoulder surgery (scope without repair). My medical team used a nerve block as they performed the procedure. I was sent home the same day with Percocet 5/325 as my pain reliever. My doctor's instruction was to: 'make sure you get the Percocet into your system before the nerve block wears off.' I complied, and my pain is managed well."

For Chronic Pain "I take this for chronic pain, and at first, I did have some itching and nausea. I take it with a high-fat meal, for example, a hamburger or bacon and eggs. It will work better. Those of you with nausea, ask your doctor for Zofran to help stop the nausea, it worked very well for me. I am on the Rhoades brand and have been doing well."

For Pain "I was given Percocet to take as needed for kidney stone pain, as I have many kidney stones a year. They are very hit or miss when it comes to relieving pain from these stones. Assuming the pain is mild and not ER room worthy, they do the job well at making the pain tolerable, however, during the worst stone attacks, they do little to nothing. However, to be fair, during those attacks, generally morphine can't even touch the pain."

For Pain "I used this for post-operative pain. It controlled pain to the point that was comfortable but not completely pain-free. I was taking 2 tabs every 4 hours as needed. My only side effect has been ears roaring, not ringing, full ROAR waving up and down. It is a bit unnerving but better than the pain."

For Pain "Feb 2018 I don't like taking strong meds. I developed horrible upper thigh leg spasms from a pinched nerve in my back. Couldn't sleep, terrible pain. Doctor gave me Oxycodone 325...wonderful meds. No pain after 1/2 tab. Yes, dizziness. Take with Metamucil to avoid constipation. Drink plenty of fluids. No other side effects other than a little tinnitus. Good job, researchers. Finally, a decent pain killer that doesn't rot your stomach! Like Advil and stronger than Extra Strength Tylenol. Wish the provincial government would cover it though."

For Chronic Pain "After multiple spine surgeries, I have weaned down to this dosage (Percocet 5/325) over the past years. I have currently been on this dosage for about 3 years after starting on much higher and more frequent usage. Now I use it mostly to take the edge off and take it at least once a day as needed. It works very well for me, and I have not had any dependency or side effects from it."

For Pain "I had ankle surgery. The doctor wanted to give me 10 mg Percocets, but I asked for 5 mg instead. I had wisdom teeth removed before, was given the 10 mg, and they didn't make me feel right. The 5 mg worked wonders. I still felt pain, but I didn't care about the pain, and I was still alert enough to get my child ready for school in the morning, but it did make me a little tired. Pills work differently for everyone. If you take pills often, then lower dosages might not work for you. I refuse to take any medication, even aspirin, unless it's a dire situation. I try to keep my body as pure as possible so I do not become dependent. This is why the low dosage works so well for me."

For Pain "My endodontist prescribed me this med before retreatment of root canal for pain relief. I liked it, it worked within 20 min, but it made me so drowsy it put me to sleep and relieved the pain for no more than 3 hours. The pain came back exactly after 3 hours, but I couldn't take it again right away because it would exceed the daily max. I switched to ibuprofen 600 mg the next day, and it worked as quickly as that med did, and the effect lasted about 5 hours, and it didn't make me drowsy."

"I didn't know what the 5/325 means, and was I'm trying to find a website that explains it. I just realized it means 5 mg of oxycodone and 325 mg of acetaminophen - it is the strength of the tablet's two active ingredients."

For Chronic Pain "1st time taking them and I have severe RA for the better half of 60 years, and I take 3 a day for as needed. My bones are now deformed and starting to curl up, and I'm in constant pain, but I try to go as long as I can without needing to take anything but Motrin. But it is very hard to live with this pain and still have to do your everyday life events. When I have a bad flare-up, I can't even walk or use a walker to get to the bathroom. But anyway, I do not think these are as strong as the other brands out there, but when you are in the pain like I am most of the time, any brand would help, and anything that can take the edge off is enough for me to be thankful. Please, people, quit abusing your meds and take as required by the doctor."
