What is Revonto?

Revonto is used to treat or prevent muscle stiffness or twitching caused by malignant hyperthermia (a rapid increase in body temperature and severe muscle contractions) that can occur during surgery with certain types of anesthesia.

It is not known if Revonto will harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.

Do not breastfeed while using Revonto, and for at least 3 days after your last dose.

How is Revonto given?

Revonto is injected into a vein by a healthcare provider in a medical setting.

What should I avoid after receiving Revonto?

Avoid driving or hazardous activity until you know how Revonto will affect you. Your reactions could be impaired. Revonto may cause a light-headed feeling that may last up to 48 hours.

This medication can cause muscle weakness (especially in your hands and legs) and trouble swallowing. Use caution with daily activities to avoid injury before your muscle strength has returned completely.

What other drugs will affect Revonto?

Using Revonto with other drugs that make you drowsy can worsen this effect. Ask your doctor before using opioid medication, a sleeping pill, a muscle relaxer, or medicine for anxiety or seizures.
