Using tetrahydrozoline nasal together with methylene blue may increase cardiovascular side effects such as palpitation, chest pain, increased heart and pulse rates, and blood pressure elevations. Talk to your doctor before using these medications, especially if you have a history of high blood pressure, irregular heart rhythm, or heart disease. In general, you should wait at least 14 days after you are off methylene blue before you start using medications like tetrahydrozoline nasal. Do not exceed the dose and frequency of use of tetrahydrozoline nasal recommended on the product label or prescribed by your doctor. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
