Usual Adult Dose for Allergic Rhinitis
Initial dose: 220 mcg (2 sprays) in each nostril once a day, until symptoms improve
Maintenance dose: 110 mcg (1 spray) in each nostril once a day
Usual Pediatric Dose for Allergic Rhinitis
2 to under 6 years old: 110 mcg (1 spray) into each nostril once a day
6 to under 12 years old: 110 mcg (1 spray) in each nostril once a day
- If symptoms do not improve, may increase to 220 mcg (2 sprays) in each nostril once a day; reduce to one spray when symptoms improve.
12 years and older:
Initial dose: 220 mcg (2 sprays) in each nostril once a day, until symptoms improve
Maintenance dose: 110 mcg (1 spray) in each nostril once a day
Comments:
- Some products are not approved for pediatric use; the manufacturer product information should be consulted.
- Adults should supervise use in children.
- Do not use for more than 2 months a year as growth rate may be slowed.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
- Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients
- Use in children under 2 years of age
Safety and efficacy have not been established in patients younger than 2 years; this drug is contraindicated in these patients.
