For Birth Control: I have been on the generic form of NuvaRing now for 8 months and I have hated every month of it-the week before my period I am a RAGING hormonal mess (and it’s not due to the current pandemic)-I felt this way when I tried out Yaz many many years ago. I would become very easily upset/angry with friends and family. I was switched to the Nuvaring after ruptured ovarian cysts along with the behavioral changes and I’ve had NO issues in 16 years and then lo and behold On this generic NuvaRing I developed ruptured ovarian cysts in the last 8 months; I have had very bad PMS, breast tenderness and cramping. I went to my ob/gyn and we are going to do whatever it takes to get NuvaRing via insurance. I cannot take this generic for another month. |

For Birth Control: Fortunately, my insurance covers Sprintec! I’ve taken Sprintec for only 2 weeks. It hasn’t caused anything but some mild acne. It’s not bad at all. So far, it hasn’t changed my mood, sex drive, or anything serious. I’ll give another update after 2 months passes. For Birth Control: Been taking Sprintec for two months and it’s been breaking me out like crazy other than that and mild weight gain it’s improved my mood. Did anyone else experiences serious breakouts how long did it take to see acne clearing? |

For Birth Control: Like everyone else I was on NuvaRing for 4+ years and absolutely loved it - I never experienced any side effects. I went into the pharmacy and they handed me Eluryng without any warning that they were switching me in advance. Two months into Eluryng and I have pretty bad acne considering I'm 25 and never had pimples even in my teens. I'm absolutely devastated and hoping Kaiser will switch me back.... it's either that or I'm going to attempt the pill (which sucks).
