Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "Rinvoq has been a life safer for me. I went from being invalid, so fatigued that emptying the dishwasher had me experiencing excruciating flares to being able to put in a 5-hour day around the house with very little pain. I was on prednisone, methotrexate, and Cimzia and had a very bad reaction to one of those drugs. The longer I have been on Rinvoq the better my symptoms improve. I have a very low dose, but I may talk to my rheumatologist about going up to the next dose. No regrets."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "This medication is excellent so far. I have been taking it for about 4 or 5 months, and I can tell a noticeable difference in my flares and pain levels for the psoriatic arthritis. The most incredible thing about this medication is that it cleared my skin in only a few weeks. I have psoriasis on my joints (over knuckles, knees, elbows, etc.), the palms of my hands, the soles of my feet, and my wrists. They are all much better. I hope they approve this for just the skin condition soon so those who need it can find relief."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "For close to a year I suffered each day with chronic pain. Misdiagnosis and the wrong prescriptions. My dermatologist confirmed that I had psoriatic arthritis with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis of the hands and feet. She initially gave me Tremfya but after 16 weeks my pain had subsided from the arthritis but my hands and feet were worse. Deep, painful fissures in my skin that would bleed if I walked or pet my dog. I started Rinvoq on a low dose and within a few days saw major gains. I’m now on my 3rd week and had to increase the dosage because I began to plateau but my hands and feet which had become unrecognizable are almost back to normal. The only side effect I’ve noticed is similar to mild heart burn/mild upset stomach. I had so much fatigue from pain that since being on Rinvoq I feel like I’m getting my energy back. I’m cautiously optimistic and extremely grateful."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "Ironically, Rinvoq has given me the most improvement in the one condition it’s not approved to treat. Before I was diagnosed with PsA, I had been diagnosed with severe psoriasis—at one point about 12% of my body was covered in plaques. Well Rinvoq keeps the psoriasis almost completely in remission (I’ve been at 1% for almost a year). I did notice a positive difference in my fatigue, but I wouldn’t say it was life changing. I also noticed a positive difference in my swelling—all of my affected joints would get so swollen unless I took handfuls of ibuprofen. Now the swelling is gone, and the pain in my larger joints (ankles, knees, lower and mid back) is much better….but it doesn’t seem to work on my smaller joints (hands, wrists, tarsals/metatarsals). Overall it’s the best drug I’ve taken that hasn’t caused me side effects, but it’s certainly not perfect."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "Rinvoq 15 mg has been a game-changer. For the first time, my arthritis is under control. It worked from day 1. Side effects have included and resolved extreme fatigue (initial), headache, nausea, feeling of cold, and UTI. I suffer from Achilles tendinitis and work as a Respiratory Therapist, so I’m on my feet constantly! This has kept me working and active every day. I'm able to work 4-5 12 hour shifts in a row. I was not able to do that with previous Biologics and DMARDS. I'm not on steroids anymore. Yes, I have gained about 10 pounds. I'm working with my doctors now to get the weight off. Everyone is different, and your journey will be too. Good Luck!"

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I’m thrilled that finally, we have got it right. I’ve tried Methotrexate which worked well but my hair fell out and I felt nauseous for days. Cimzia injection didn’t help. Now on a combination of Arava 10 mg and Rinvoq 15mg and am so happy that I am almost pain-free. Over the moon."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I have very rare psoriatic arthritis but terrible psoriasis for 35+ years. Feet and hands plaque psoriasis. I started Rinvoq and my psoriasis cleared completely in about a month. I’m so GRATEFUL. No side effects to speak of. 15 mg orally once a day is so much easier than injections or infusions. This is about my 12th biologic. They usually stop working between 6 months and a year. I have been on Rinvoq for about 8 months."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "Some improvement in swelling and peeling skin, and some tendon and joint pain improvement. That being said, acne is cropping up in random places, and I am experiencing random muscle cramps - oddly enough, in my hands, fingers, and thumbs. I will be discussing this with my rheumatologist, as I'm not quite certain it's worth the side effects. Perhaps prednisone in the 5 mg/day range might be more appropriate. Just have to see what she says."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "Has anyone else experienced mood or mental health side effects with Rinvoq? I have experienced mood drops after taking Etanercept as well, and it feels eerily similar."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "Rinvoq has definitely helped clear up the Psoriatic Arthritis that I had on my hands. However, I am not sure yet whether or not it's actually also helping the Rheumatoid Arthritis that I have."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I’ve been searching for relief of psoriatic arthritis in fingers, wrists, knees, ankles, toes, neck, and spine, along with major scalp inflammation and intense itching and burning. After 9 weeks of the 15 mg dose, my arthritis has improved by about 30%. No adverse side effects. This Rinvoq is the most helpful of all that I’ve tried."
