For Emergency Contraception "Had the UPS on the 8th day of my cycle. First time I had an UPS. Took Ellaone 8 hours after the UPS. I experienced side effects, but mild ones (nausea, sore breasts, lower back pain, cramps,...). The anxiety was the worst part. I lost my appetite and didn't sleep well for a few weeks. My cycle usually lasts 30 days. After weeks of anxious feelings, I got my period 3 days early. HUGE relief."

For Emergency Contraception "I wanted to share my experience with side effects, as this page reassured me so much over the last fortnight. I took ellaOne two weeks ago, the morning after sex and two days after ovulation (according to my period tracking app). In the first week afterward, I had no side effects bar spotting, which didn’t worry me too much. But the following week, I had extreme cramps (which I never have before my period), nausea, fatigue, constipation, and diarrhea, and mainly lower and upper back pain - none of which I’d ever experienced around a period. All Google pointed to pregnancy and implantation, so I freaked out, especially as I took the pill after ovulation. Butttt, although it was three days late, my period arrived today. Ella gave me the worst PMS of my entire life, but I’ve never been so happy to see my period and wanted to reassure any girls with strong symptoms like mine, especially nausea and back pain, that immediately make you think of pregnancy, that it’s likely Auntie Flo is on her way ❤️"

For Emergency Contraception "I promised myself I would share my experience because reading these reviews helped calm my never-ending anxiety. The condom broke, and I was in my fertile window exactly 2 days before ovulation. I took ellaone within 10 hours. The first week was okay, the second week after taking it, I had all sorts of back pain, tummy pain. I had the BIGGEST mood swings I ever had. I was irritated and cried easily. I thought to myself this either worked or I am starting a pregnancy. My period came 2 days later than its expected date, heavier and way more painful than usual. Ellaone is effective, but please be careful and don't take it too many times."

For Emergency Contraception "I normally don’t write reviews but I needed to come and share my experience for all my anxiety sisters who might be stressing right now! I took EllaOne 12 hours after a failed condom. I was a day away from what was predicted to be my most fertile day, so I was very worried. I felt dizzy and nauseous on day 1, which went away. Day 4, I started to feel dizzy again, and my mood swings were ridiculous. My anxiety started to flare up at this point because my breasts were really hurting and my smell was heightened. These symptoms continued for a week and got so bad that I stopped sleeping, eating, and going outside. I ended up signed off work because I was so stressed. A week later, I had uncomfortable cramps and my ovaries/lower stomach were swollen. By the time my period was due, I had experienced every symptom: diarrhea, constipation, tender breasts, cramps, back pain, mood swings, bloating, nausea; you name it. My period came today heavier than usual! Try not to stress; all will be well!"

For Emergency Contraception "Ok, this made my period 5 weeks late. I experienced back pain, nausea, indigestion, and cramps a few days before it finally came. All my PMS symptoms were worse. I worried so much that I took a pregnancy test 4 times. It works, but you will be stressed."

For Emergency Contraception "A mistake in my calculations meant we'd had sex the day of ovulation. I'm over 45, but to be on the safe side, I took Ella. A week later, cramps, mucus, and spotting. Then extreme tiredness, nausea, backache, and twinges in the ovary. They say it's not an abortion pill, but it depends on your definition of pregnancy. If you have already ovulated when you have sex, the sperm can fertilize the egg before you've taken the pill, and the fertilized egg can make its way to the womb. Ten days after I took Ella, I had a horrible period a week early with depression and severe cramps. The menstruation felt like my womb lining was being scratched out. I believe the pill flushed out a fertilized egg. Now my next period is coming, and it still feels raw inside."

For Emergency Contraception "Worst pill out there, gave me back pain and stomach cramps, and I feel like I’m dying! Haven’t taken a pregnancy test yet, however, I feel that this can cause ectopic pregnancies because that’s what I feel that I have! So upset right now."

For Emergency Contraception "I had unprotected sex on the 17th this month and took the Ella pill 44 hours later. I felt so sick for the first 2 days I couldn't get off the sofa, had severe bloating next few days. I was nauseous and vomited a fair few times. I still am occasionally vomiting 12 days on. I'm now 13 days in and still having symptoms, e.g., cramping and backache mainly on the left side of my abdomen, headaches, heartburn, acid reflux. Also, this pill is like an abortion, if you did have a fertilized egg, which in my opinion is when pregnancy begins, it stops it from attaching, therefore causing abortion. Worst pill I've ever taken in my life. I'm due in 4 days, and even though I don't think I'm pregnant, the effects it's had on me have been horrendous. Use with caution."
