Triamcinolone "To all the people who have had one injection and love being pain-free, BEWARE. I have permanent damage from the injections and will take the pain over the awful side effects. It’s a roller coaster. The more injections, the more permanent damage. I have permanent indentations in both buttocks that affect my sitting, injection site burns, itches, hurts, and it’s been six months since the last one, sweat constantly, sleep is rare, NEVER AGAIN. They hook you on the feel-good for a while and damage you more over time."

Triamcinolone "On Feb 15th, I was given an injection in my heel for plantar fasciitis to relieve pain. A couple of days later, I was still a little sore, then after another day, when it all started, anxiety, blurred vision, vertigo, nausea, panic, and acid reflux. Still, 2 months later and dealing with it all. Did blood work and had an MRI on my head. See, the anxiety had me so worried that I got all that work done. Seeing all these posts, I know I am not alone. All my pains and aches are gone. But all these other side effects are much worse, I wish it would just end."

Triamcinolone "This injection dex/Kenalog was the only treatment that worked for my severe atopic dermatitis; I would have preferred never taking this shot if I knew the side effects once I stopped. Let me give a timeline since I stopped: Month 3: Debilitating anxiety/sense of dread. Month 5: Sinus tachycardia when driving (unable to drive). Month 8: Anxiety/heart palpitations. Month 12: Manageable anxiety. The recovery from this drug is agonizing; the only peace I had while recovering was learning to accept my own mortality. I'm still recovering, and it might take another year to be 100%. Taking hydrocortisone 5 mg allows temporary relief from anxiety. Needless to say, I'll be rating this a 1."

Triamcinolone "I am normally a healthy individual. I received the shot in July for a severe ear infection and am still having negative effects to this day in October. I had a single shot, I have suffered bloating, distension of my abdomen, still suffering hypertension. It cleared the infection. How long does this stay in the tissue? When should I expect this to end, if ever!"

Triamcinolone "I've been getting injections in my bilateral SI's (low back) due to nerve pain from herniated discs in my lower back. For at least 3 years, every 6 weeks. They have been tremendously helpful, or so I thought. I'm currently having to treat with a specialist (endocrinologist) for focus on my extremely low cortisol and ACTH levels. I had no idea that this was even a possibility. Not sure how to even move forward at this point. I have no idea what other options I have. Very scared."

Triamcinolone "Years ago, I fell and broke my hand and have a tear in my rotator cuff. My hand healed fine, but for years I have pain in my shoulder. My physical therapist helped me gain my motion back. The shoulder is still painful, so at least twice a year I need to get Kenalog-40 injections for pain. Thank God the only side effect I have is, around 4 days after, my face gets red and hot for 2 days. I have a sensitive stomach and am unable to take Aleve, Aspirin, etc., so between physical therapy and this injection, my life is back."

"Pain Dr. epidurally injected triamcinolone into my lower spine. Less than 1 hour later looked & sounded like I had Parkinson's, which I don't. Less than 24 hours later, had 60 of listed side effects. Clinic said it wasn't epidural. 4 weeks later had to go to ER and was kept 28 hrs; they had no idea what was wrong; PCP had no idea. Had a lot of tests done, blood workup was so off, was sent to a cancer specialist, still didn't know about the Kenalog; good news no cancer, but Dr. didn't know why. Back pain doubled, new pain everywhere, Fibromyalgia pain doubled. 8 weeks, 2nd epidural. All the side effects got worse. A few days later, my medication listed Kenalog had been given. Been over a year and still dealing with some side effects & have found that some of my conditions have worsened because of the Kenalog. No one can tell me if side effects will ever go away."

"Been putting this injection off for two years, terrified of getting shot in my knee. For two years, been having knee pain, not able to get up gracefully from work chair. Mornings I need at least a 15 min warm-up period just to stand and constantly limping. Life was miserable. Can’t walk long distance and walked really slow. Finally got the injection and didn’t even feel anything!! Doc used an ultrasound for guidance. I really felt nothing! Flu shot hurts more. I immediately felt pain relief and walked out of the clinic crying of happiness. I’m hoping this lasts. I want to do things now and get my life back. I pray this lasts. No side effects so far. Wish I had done this sooner."

Triamcinolone "I had a shot of Kenalog put in each SI joint. He said he put a total of 30 on 8/6/19. They never told me about any side effects, and I've been miserable ever since. Severe fatigue, shortness of breath, very bad anxiety, weak, depressed, and it hasn't gotten any better. It also messed up my thyroid medication. I have no thyroid, and now it's very low, which is making things worse. I wish someone could tell me how long these side effects last. It will be 2 months on the 6th of October, and I'm not better. These shots have ruined my life, and now they told me to never get another one, which I would never. I just want my life back. Could someone tell me how long it will take these side effects to go away? Thank you."
