For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started Zepbound 2 days ago. Ate normally the day of the first injection (2.5mg/0.5ml)... boy, did I make a mistake. I ate 3 meals, my last around 6 PM. That night I felt like a rock was in my stomach, and you could hear the sloshing of water and food as I moved in bed. I started dry heaving and gagging in my sleep. Woke up Tuesday morning feeling sicker than I did when I had morning sickness from pregnancy... and my morning sickness was bad. Was sick all day. Ate nothing on Tuesday. Not a thing. All I could stomach was water and 7up to ease the nausea. Today is Wednesday, diarrhea started this morning and still nauseous, but not hungry. Just drinking my water and some 7up to help with nausea. I was told the nausea will subside after my body gets used to it. Hoping that's true. But honestly, if I have to deal with some nausea to lose the 70 lbs I would like to lose, I'll do it. Will update more once I've been on it for a while."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on Zepbound 2.5 back in Dec 2024. No major issues in the beginning. It definitely helps control your appetite, and you feel sick if you eat too much. After going to 5.0, I got a little more nauseated and started noticing more dizziness, lightheadedness, and fatigue. But I was losing the weight, so I just kept going. After going to 7.5, that's when my horror stories started. I have taken only two doses but am stopping this stuff altogether. It has truly caused me extreme dizziness, shortness of breath, fatigue, terrible stomach pains, and diarrhea that won't stop. I have lost 37 pounds... great... but the suffering and pain that comes with this medicine... no thanks. I'd rather be a little overweight and be happy than the constant nausea, stomach pain, and diarrhea. Best of luck to you all, but I'm going to accept me for me."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This medication works beyond all my expectations!! I am a 40-year-old female and was at a starting weight of 226 when I began the 2.5 mg dose. Immediately, I noticed I could not finish more than a few bites of food, and the thought of chewing meat was repulsive. But for some reason, I could eat fish and fresh fruit. The mental food noise is gone. It's so nice to go grocery shopping and not look twice at foods that, in the past, I could easily binge eat. Now everything has side effects, so I will say they are manageable. My doctor gave me a script for Zofran for the nausea, and that helps tremendously. For constipation, I take Senna, and at times when it was really bad, I used a pediatric suppository (Pedia-Lax), peppermints for sulfur burps! Don't eat too much, this med delays stomach emptying, so eat slowly and in small portions. I only drink water and want water!! I have so much energy! I have lost 27 pounds in 6 weeks. I am on 7.5 mg and can't wait to reach my goal!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I love Zepbound ❣️ I started on the low dose, and now I’m on the 7.5, and I have lost over 25 lbs. There are side effects, not bad enough to make me not use it, they include nausea, cramping, and loose dark stool. I am totally disabled and can’t exercise, so this was a great way for me to get lighter on my feet. Thank you. Good luck if you’re starting."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Zepbound for almost a full year. I lost weight quickly: 90 pounds. I was at my goal in 6 months. I had to go back 2 doses to maintain and stop losing weight. The nausea has not stopped. It’s better than in the beginning, but I still get it every time for 1 or 2 days after a shot. The diarrhea is terrible. It has never stopped. I get it on day 2, and it is uncontrollable. It’s been almost a year, so I would think some of these side effects would have stopped, but they haven’t. I also get sulfur burps for a day or 2 after a shot. I’m at the point where I might have to stop taking it due to the side effects. I love the weight loss, and I sure don’t want to gain it back, though."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I just started Zepbound 2.5mg two days ago and OMG, I cannot eat ANYTHING! I keep having waves of nausea that feels like I have a stomach virus! OMG people TRY THIS MEDICATION! My insurance wouldn't cover it, so I paid $1292 cash for the month's supply. I have been overweight my entire life, but THIS METHOD IS THE EASIEST WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT! I did weigh myself (after only 2 days), and I lost 8 lbs so far. Next week I am only going to take a half dose (1.25mg) because the nausea has been really awful. I am an actual patient and just wanted to share my progress... THIS MEDICATION IS TRIED AND TRUE! Good luck!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started the shot on Wednesday, was kind of nervous. Ate small portions, so I wouldn't get nausea. Didn't really think it was working, didn't feel any different. It is now Monday, I have lost eight pounds. I'm never hungry, have to remember to eat, don't think about food really except fruit, it always sounds good. Absolutely no negative side effects. Started at 187, am now at 179. This is on my first shot! This stuff is amazing, looking forward to that second shot! It's expensive since state insurance doesn't cover it, and I only work part-time, but worth every cent!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on the medication since 1/19/2024. I did 4 injections of 2.5, then went up to 5 mg. I will be staying with this dosage for at least 2 months. I have dropped 18 pounds so far. I have nausea for a day or two after injection (still able to function at work). I still have about 30ish pounds to lose, but I no longer think about food. I am also so happy that my pain from fibromyalgia has gotten so much better. I don't have the inflammation all the time. I am 50 and in menopause, I have done the eat less, move more with little results. I am very happy with this medication. You still have to do the work (eat little sugar, high protein, exercise), but it is nice to see it actually working now!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Zepbound 17 days ago. 64-year-old woman, 210 lbs, BMI 33.9, height 5 ft 6 inches. Insulin resistant, high blood pressure, and cholesterol, sleep apnea. No problem at all with the injection. I don't even feel it. I do bring it to room temperature before injecting. I was terrified of the potential side effects but thankfully haven't experienced any that aren't very manageable. I notice if I eat certain foods for dinner, they aren't digested by morning, so I avoid those. I might feel a bit of nausea from time to time but use ginger chews. I definitely feel full faster and eat less. I've only weighed myself once so far, on day 9, and was down 7 pounds. Frankly, I have been a little scared of the scale after failing so many different diets (Keto, Intermittent Fasting, South Beach, Weight Watchers, to name a few). I'd diligently stay on them for several weeks only to have the scale not budge, or sometimes my weight went up! So discouraging. I'm so hopeful with this new medication!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking Zepbound approximately 3 weeks ago, and this is after having the Gastric Sleeve a year ago. Due to becoming ill, I gained about 30lbs back and was not happy at all. So finally, my doctor prescribed Zepbound. The nausea is unreal, but I tolerate it. When trying to eat anything fried, it's a vomiting situation that's going to happen. But overall, I have lost about 4lbs in the 3 weeks with no exercise. I will try and start exercising with the next mg upgrade. Guys, please realize everybody's journey is different, and you will lose what your body is supposed to lose, so don't overdo it. Zepbound is working great for me at the moment."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking Zepbound for seven and a half weeks now. I have lost 20 lbs! I am happy about that. I love how it takes that constant hunger I felt and cravings for junk are gone - that’s a miracle in itself. I did have some side effects of bloating, nausea, and sulfur burps and gas, but they do seem to taper off as your body adjusts to the dose. I am now up to a 5 mg dose but have opted to stay here for now because the nausea was increasing. I have no hunger at all. I will try it another month at 5 mg and if no relief in the nausea, I will ask to go back to the 2.5 dose. I continue to lose 2-3 pounds a week and it is adding up."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been on Zepbound for about 3 months. I'm 5'3' and started at 167. So far I have lost 12 lbs. trying to maintain a 1,200 calorie diet. The main thing is to watch what you eat and quit when you are full. The only side effects I've seen are fatigue and constipation. The shots don't bother me at all and no nausea, thank goodness. The only thing I'm really worried about is gaining it back when I stop. Good luck to all!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Been on Zepbound 7 weeks now. Lost about 22 lbs so far with no exercise. This stuff is amazing at curbing your appetite. But beware, stick to healthy foods and minimal portions because the nausea is otherworldly. I ate too much too late in the day yesterday. I had to leave work early today for the second time since being on this med. Light-headed, profuse sweating, chills, diarrhea almost non-stop and even puking. This med is a miracle, but you cannot mess around. Take it seriously. Cut back portions, minimal dairy, low sugar and don't eat too late. I'm excited to see how far I can go on this med. So thankful I have access."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Ten days on Zepbound. Love this medication. The energy it gives you is amazing. 1st day injection in thigh developed bruise and slight nausea and headache. But no biggie. 2nd shot belly super easy. Takes away urge to eat. No more stomach grumbling when hungry either. I have a protein shake in the morning, mid-morning protein bar, little bites throughout the morning. Small lunch and salmon or chicken for dinner. Veggies and fruit are important. No issue with bathroom. I take a fiber gummy and multivitamin daily. Treadmill and gym. After showering, I've been using lots of lotion on skin, massaging in. You'll be fine. Smart choices in foods. Yogurt gave me nausea as did tuna with mayonnaise. 6 lbs so far."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started at the end of Jan 24. 4 weeks at 2.5mg, 8 weeks at 5mg due to lack of supply. I've had to seek alternatives due to the shortage of this drug, but it is worth it. I've lost 30 pounds in 14 weeks and moved up to 7.5mg on my last dose. The food noise is gone. The alcohol noise is gone. Other than some nausea and fatigue on shot day, side effects have been mild and easily manageable. I wish I'd have been able to start this long ago and gotten my life back. 30 pounds to go and I have no doubt I will be successful."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This medication saved my life! In the beginning, the nausea was very noticeable but worth every bit! I never really had a problem with my weight until after my pregnancies. I gained over 90 lbs with each of my two pregnancies. Being at over 300 lbs and only 5’1” was a miserable existence. I couldn’t breathe and was exhausted all of the time, not to mention pre-diabetic and very high blood pressure. It has definitely been a journey, but I stand by that this medication saved my life. I’ve lost 125 lbs. I still have a way to go to get to my goal, but I’m so happy to be alive to see how much better life can be! For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "My insurance won't cover Zepbound. I get it through the 'Lilly Direct Cash Pay for Zepbound vials.' I started with 2.5 mg for 1 month and lost 12 pounds. I moved up to 5 mg and lost 30 pounds in 4 months. Total loss so far, 42 pounds! Starting weight was 184, height is 5'3'. Current weight is 142. Only side effect for me is seldom nausea. Price is $504 each month, and that includes the needles, otherwise, it's $499. Now that Lilly offers the higher doses for the same price, next week I start 7.5 mg. I will update again in a month or so."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Zepbound late January. I was generally a small person and was the same size for over 25 years. However, with menopause and COVID combination, I gained over 25 pounds and my BMI went from a 24 to a 30 in the past 4 years. Both of my parents were diabetic, therefore, my risk factors were great. Initially, I felt nauseous for a few days, but the nausea went away. I started on 2.5 mg and lost 13 pounds in the first month. Moved to 5 mg the second month. I was down 18 pounds after month 2. No side effects from the meds. I went to 7.5 for the 3rd month and am still on it. I have lost 24 pounds. I am also exercising more. I try to put in 10k steps at least 5 days a week and exercise for 30 minutes 4 days a week. I am 5'2 and started at 166 pounds. I am down to 142 now and have more energy. My A1C was 6.1 when I started and is now 5.7. My cholesterol did go up from 212 to 267, however, I attribute this to the rapid weight loss and will test again in 6 months."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started in January and have moved doses up monthly. This morning I took my 4th 7.5 mg dose. I did have a 2.5 mg pen malfunction and moved up to 5 a week early. I've been losing 1-3 pounds a week, for a total today of 28 lb loss. My goal is to lose 50. As far as side effects, they really aren't too bad for me. Daily Colace helps any constipation, which has not been much of an issue anyway. Occasional nausea is fleeting and is helped with Coke One. I know some are against drinking soda, but Coke One does not have sugar and has been my nausea cure for as long as it's been on the market. My appetite is diminished, but not gone. I've changed my eating pattern to several small, healthy mini-meals during the day instead of 3 'regular' meals. Zero cravings for junk food or much snacking at all. Part, I'm sure, is that I'm keeping those mini meals full of protein and vegetables. The only real issue that I've had is fatigue. It hits about an hour after the shot and lasts about 36 h."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started in October and am now on 10 mg. I have lost 106 lbs. I feel better than I have in years. I’m 69 and will be 70 in August. I do more, I get out more, I’m involved again. I have 60 more to go. I’m not saying it’s been a bed of roses, but the good outweighs the bad days 95%. Also, in the beginning, I would give myself the injection at night and then take something for nausea my doctor prescribed and no longer felt nauseous. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "50-year-old female with 100 lbs to lose and PCOS. Been on Zepbound for 6 weeks (just took 7th shot). Minimal side effects. Occasional nausea, headaches, and sore muscles, usually the day after injection, but they go away by the next day. Taking the 5 mg dose right now. I have been getting large injection site rashes with itching, burning, and swelling with the last 3 doses. The swelling and itching go down after 3-4 days, but the red spots are still visible from all 3 of the previous doses. I didn't get this with the 2.5mg dose at all. Hoping it was just this last box of the medicine and the next will be better. I have only lost 5 lbs in the 6 weeks I have been on it, which has been very disappointing. It has lowered my blood pressure though. It was on the high side of normal before, now it's perfect. Really hoping that going up to the 7.5mg dose will start having better results for me as I have got a long way to go, and hopefully the skin reactions won't get worse."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’m almost 46. I have been struggling with weight loss all my life, joined food addiction programs, and tried other diets, and nothing worked. I lost some but gained it right back. I started at 220, but in numbers, I was not diabetic, so my insurance wouldn’t cover weight loss medication. My doctor worked with me for months and kept trying until it was finally approved. I did manage to get down to 186 pounds before starting on Zepbound. I have lost an additional 22 lb in 2.5 months! I’m at 164 now, and I haven’t been here in years. I can relate to many of the comments here. I don’t think about food, no cravings. I feel satisfied. I have been doing one meal a day, and I feel great. I don’t feel anxious, deprived, or hungry. I don’t worry about what I’m going to eat next. I don’t catch myself always snacking. It’s changed my brain in a way that I’m at peace. Just started on a 7.5 gm, and I did have some nausea just the very first day, but no other side effects."

I finally am able to go. I noticed that after the injection, I vomit every time the next day. I am 5'7 and weighed 233. I am now 209. The nausea is sometimes unbearable. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Zepbound about a week ago. Only had 1 injection, but for me personally, as soon as I did the injection, I immediately began to feel nauseated and dizzy for a good couple of hours, but then it subsided. I did have some anxiety about the side effects, and sometimes when I do have anxiety, I will feel nauseous and dizzy as well, so I really can’t tell if that was from the injection or anxiety. Either way, it stopped. Since then, I barely eat. I NEVER feel hungry at all, and when I do, I eat hardly a handful of something before I feel full and stop eating. I don’t know if that’s normal. I’m supposed to get 60 grams of protein a day. I drink 2 of those 30 grams of the Premier protein shakes, not my favorite, but it will do, and that keeps me feeling full for pretty much the ENTIRE day. I don’t snack at all anymore. Again, I’ve only had 1 injection but have noticed some immediate changes."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started out great. Moved to 5.0 and had AWFUL vomiting on day 3 after injection. Dr. tried to move me back to 2.5 but Rx store was unable to get it. Went 5 weeks before it was restocked. Started 2.5 again with 0 effect. And I mean zero. Moved to 5.0 and the nausea is there, but so far, no vomiting. What concerns me is that I have suddenly been struggling with an elevated pulse and higher than normal BP. Wasn't an issue before, so not sure if it's related or incidental. May stop it because I just don't feel good. In addition over the 5 months of on and off again, I am down 4 pounds...and following a reasonable diet plan. Discouraged."
