For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "So far, so good. Rarely get hungry and can't eat too much. Side effects: Heartburn, reflux, constipation, hair loss. I will have to weigh myself in the morning, but I am guessing I am down about 8 lbs. in 5 weeks. Just started on the 5 ml. No exercise yet. Wine and alcohol will definitely slow down the progress. Not a lot of cravings for junk. Every now and then I want something fried, but it will have you on the crapper by the next morning! Stay away from greasy food on this! And YES, the needle DOES hurt to me!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "5’1”, 180 lbs, 63 yrs. old female, BMI 34%. History of cardiac disease and hypothyroidism. I’ve been taking the 2.5 mg dose for six months with virtually no worrisome side effects. I do experience unusual tiredness within 8–12 hours of each dose. Who doesn’t enjoy a good nap, yeah? I'm currently experiencing moderate hair loss, which is a concern. I consulted my PCP, who agreed we should rule out other potential causes such as a recent change in thyroid medication, nutrient deficiencies, or age before deciding the next step in my weight-loss journey with Zepbound. My current weight is 142 lbs. That’s 38 lbs (an approximate 1.5 lbs/week or 6 lbs/month) weight loss over six months. It’s just the boost I needed. According to the CDC, losing 1–2 lbs per week is a healthy weight loss goal. It’s reassuring to know that my weight loss is at a healthy pace at the lowest effective dose of Tirzepatide. Thank you, Eli Lilly, for the Zepbound coupon card ($25 co-pay)."

For Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome "I started taking Zepbound in September of 2024. At that time, I was about 70 pounds overweight. I started at 2.5 mg, was raised to 5 mg, then 7.5 mg, and now I'm on 10 mg. I have been able to tolerate it reasonably well. Since I started using it, I would say I have lost over 50 pounds. The medicine definitely has changed my eating habits. I still probably eat more sweets than I should, but not nearly as much as I used to. I have GERD and severe heartburn, and I'd say the medicine does negatively affect that, but I have been on Prilosec or another one of those meds for nearly 10 years, so I am at least able to manage it. If I don't take the Prilosec, I oat dearly. One other thing I have noticed most recently is a metallic taste in my mouth and some hair loss. Sometimes the taste is stronger than others, and I did not notice it until my dose went up to 10 mg. Another thing I noticed is that I have lost a lot of muscle as well as fat. I do get lots of compliments about my weight loss."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have lost 54 lbs. in 6 months. It’s been easy, my only issues have been constipation and some hair loss. I increased my dosage each month to 15 mg. I am now reducing my dosage to wean off the drug. I wish there was more information about stopping the drug. Also, I had to spend thousands of dollars because it’s so expensive. I worry about stopping the drug."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am a 55-year-old female, 5’7 starting weight 250, started Zepbound 6 weeks ago. 1st month, 2.5 — moved up to 5 2nd month. Probably the most annoying, almost immediate side effects were GERD, bloating, and constipation. However, this did improve quickly when I added more fiber, avoided high-fat, saucy foods, and ate less. I do agree with the others… that it definitely helps your “hunger-food brain.” I can skip a meal without even noticing. I fill up eating a quarter to half of what I would normally eat. I begin getting nauseated while I eat, which makes me stop eating, of course. Now that I've increased from 2.5 to 5, the nausea is a little worse, but intermittent and tolerable. Hoping this will improve once my body adjusts. Overall, still very thankful for this opportunity to try Zepbound. I'm trying to find some type of a meal plan to follow, with sufficient protein and fiber, as well as other foods or supplements to prevent muscle loss, hair loss, constipation, and fatigue."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’ve lost 43 lbs in the last 9 months. I experienced some mild hair loss (but started this in menopause, so that contributed to hair loss as well), increased heart rate, although mine was low to start, some burping, and tiredness. The worst side effect for me is the diarrhea. I have it starting about 24-48 hrs after injection. It lasts on and off for about 3 days. Overall, these side effects have been mild and manageable. The weight loss has been life-changing!!"
