For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Fortunately, I did not experience any side effects until I got to 10 mg. I began having a reaction at the injection site and suffered a little blurred vision occasionally. I am now on my first week of 12.5 mg and find that 3 days after taking the injection, I am having pains (like muscle strain or a trapped nerve) in various and multiple places. This has been the case for 4 days now, so I am a bit dubious about taking my second injection tomorrow. However, I have lost 3 stone over 17 weeks, so for me, positive outweighs the negative as I was morbidly obese. Any thoughts on these pains I am having, please?"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Diet, exercise & 1,000 mg of Metformin twice per day has not improved the quality of my life. My disciplined efforts kept me in a pre-diabetes state & made me insulin resistant, worsening my other health conditions. To improve the quality of my life & afford access to a drug that might help control my glucose & worsening health issues, I sold my car & now pay approximately $1,000 per month out of pocket for Mounjaro. It has changed my life! No more blurry vision due to fluctuating glucose levels. My energy level is consistent. I’m able to start exercising, as well as participating in family activities. I’m slowly but steadily losing weight which I believe will improve other health issues such as high cholesterol, blood pressure, insulin resistance, beginning signs of neuropathy in legs, and exercise intolerance. The good news is that as a pre-diabetic, Mounjaro helps my body properly utilize glucose. Sadly, I can't continue due to the cost, but Mounjaro WORKS & gives back hope!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "After years of dealing with type 2 diabetes and taking metformin, I finally managed to get my numbers under control long enough to get off the daily meds and control my condition with a proper diet. At the age of 68, after about 15 years of being quite obese and discussing the matter with my doctor, I began using Mounjaro. I started with a low-dose weekly injection and in a few months worked my way up to the full recommended dosage of 15 MG/0.5ML per week. It's been less than a year and I have lost 110 lbs and feel fantastic with no noticeable side effects. Mounjaro was not the first medication I tried, but it was the first one to really give me results. I chuckle at other meds I hear jingles about on television commercials and have my own jingle that comes to mind for Mounjaro every time, and I can't get it out of my head."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have used Mounjaro for several months for weight loss, along with Phentermine and Topamax, under the supervision of my doctor. I had lost over 135 pounds without it in 2 years, but still had 30 pounds to lose to be at a healthy weight. The combination of the three medications, including Mounjaro, was helping significantly. It helped me feel fuller longer, control portions, and appetite! I also changed my diet. However, my insurance denied me from taking it. Now in 3 weeks, I have gained 8 pounds, even with my diet change."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Absolutely love this medication. I was expecting to be a lot more nauseated than I am. Not losing weight, really 6 pounds in three weeks, but I’m sure it was water weight. I do, however, experience palpitations, although my heart is in normal rhythm. The first three days of taking it, I do experience the palpitations. I also get blurred vision. Both of those are very mild, but I am also on a very low dose, 2.5. My numbers were hitting 500 after I eat, sometimes 550, even when I was eating healthy. Since starting Mounjaro, within days my numbers after eating are 190. It’s the best drug ever!"

For Type 2 Diabetes "My A1C and glucose levels are great. I am not on insulin. Side effects are rotten. Nausea, GERD, constipation/diarrhea, headache, stomach pain, decreased appetite every shot lessens over the week. Had this with Ozempic and Trulicity too, but not as severe. I have seen no weight loss benefit despite a decent diet and moderate exercise 3-5 times per week. Other side effects I’m not sure are related: feeling of lump in throat, slight face rash, occasional blurred vision, tingling in hands."

For Type 2 Diabetes "It does cause nausea. Immediate stomach full, stomach ache, too full feeling, vision changes, I had loss of hair, procrastination-feeling stuck, memory zaps. But I did lose 35 lbs. And it did take a while. 1 year. Very easy to inject."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I finished the first four weeks of 2.5 mg injections last week. Tonight, I start taking the 5 mg injection. I have had dizziness and lightheaded episodes that come and go, and occasional blurred vision. Constipation has been a problem. When I have dizzy spells, the top number of my blood pressure is lower than normal. My appetite has changed, I don't eat as much as I did before, and my weight has dropped thirteen pounds since I first started taking it. I see my doctor in two months, that's when I'll find out if it is helping my A1C. My doctor informed me that it would help me lose weight, which I need to do very much. It's very easy to use."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I started taking the Mounjaro a few months ago. The weight loss part of it was excellent, but however, I've been having vision problems while taking it. So I asked my doctor what she would recommend other than the Mounjaro. She said there's only Ozempic, Mounjaro. I'm not crazy, what were the options before all of the new medications came out."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I started Mounjaro 7 days ago for type 2 diabetes and weight loss. Days 1, 2, and 3 were great. Appetite was almost nonexistent, great, right? Day 4, my vision started to blur. Days 6 and 7, reoccurring stomach aches and diarrhea. I’m now on day 7 and my vision is so blurry I can barely see up close or far away. My vision was 20/20 before starting this. The insert says it can make diabetic retinopathy worse, to my knowledge, I don’t have diabetic retinopathy. I have an appointment with a retina specialist tomorrow. Works great as an appetite suppressant, and it really lowered my blood sugar, however, I need to see. So it’s going to be a no for me."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I have been taking Mounjaro for almost three months, increasing the dosage each month according to my doctor's prescriptions due to my Type 2 diabetes. I have experienced dizziness, constipation, lack of appetite, blurry vision, and nausea after eating a meal. None of the side effects I've experienced have been severe enough to warrant discontinuing Mounjaro. My A1C has dropped from 8.5 to 6.3, and I have lost 30+ pounds since starting Mounjaro. I have not experienced diarrhea, vomiting, or pancreatitis. I am pleased with Mounjaro, which has resulted in weight loss and diminishing A1C levels."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Mounjaro since Sep 2022. I started off with the 2.5 mg for about a month with no issues. My provider then moved me to 5 mg in October. Once again, no issues, and I started losing weight. 15 lbs in about 6 weeks. I was then moved up to 7.5 mg in November and have been miserable ever since. I have no appetite, severe constipation, major headaches, and vomiting, and I am now having issues with low blood pressure (causing lightheadedness, dizziness, and vision issues), which I believe is being caused by my never wanting to eat or drink anything. I have informed my provider of this, and she is now wanting to send me to a cardiologist to make sure my heart is working properly. She has also decided to lower my dosage back to 5 mg. I am hoping this change helps because so far, my type 2 diabetes is under control, and my sugars have been fantastic!"

For Type 2 Diabetes "It has helped lower my A1c and lower my weight. I feel better than I do taking metformin. Little side effects, but nothing bad. It helps me function a lot better, I don't feel lightheaded. My dosage is 2.5. Low dose is working. One side effect I get is blurry vision, but nothing serious."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I'm looking for a few answers myself. Does Mounjaro cause pain in your legs? I am a chronic pain sufferer, osteoporosis, three different arthritis, avascular necrosis, nerve and bone damage head to toe. I have so much wrong and am in need of three different surgeries, but I have 38% lung capacity. I also have COPD!!! NOW, that's just a start.... I'll leave it there for now. I have a metallic taste in my mouth, can this medication cause this? My throat feels a mess, somewhat swollen. My mouth is very dry. I guess you could say I feel all-around sick. I have nausea medication, etc., I do not need any other medication. I take too much now. Just so you know, my left eye has vision issues and sees differently from the right."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I tried Ozempic for 9 weeks and thought I was going to die, so they switched me to Mounjaro. The 1st 2 weeks were okay, I just didn't have an appetite, but week 3 hit me just like Ozempic did. Total exhaustion. I've lost 5 lbs in a little over 3 days. I have side effects of sulfur burps, dehydration, constant nausea, falling asleep at all times, all-night vomiting, and diarrhea. I feel bruised from head to toe and have blurred vision. I'm telling people this for a warning. Read the reviews. People are constantly going to the ER because of these medications. I'm flustered because I found something that worked for my diabetes, but it is really bad for me. Since starting Ozempic up to now, I've lost almost 30 lbs... might sound great, but not when you can't function."
