Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I caught my yeast infection really early and decided to do a one-day treatment but couldn’t find my usual brand, Equate, so I decided to use Monistat. Thirty minutes after applying the ovule and cream, I was in immense discomfort and was literally crying. I used a cold compress, but that wasn’t working either. I ended up taking a shower and trying to wash it all out after reading some reviews. Now sitting here with an ice pack between my legs, I still have extreme discomfort and even more extreme swelling. My advice is never to use any Monistat products and stick to the cheaper choice, which is Equate."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had symptoms for 2 days. I picked up the 1 over the 7-day because I liked how you insert the medicine into the infected area. I read these reviews after I had purchased and hesitated. I took a shower before bed, inserted the ovule, and braced myself... I watched TV for about an hour in bed before falling asleep just fine. I woke in the morning-zero 'pain,' just the discomfort from the YI I had already been feeling before. During the day, the swelling and burning did increase, but nothing unbearable. That night, I took a shower and peed before going to bed, and about 80% of it plopped out in the toilet. By morning, the swelling went down, and I felt amazing! Such relief!! More days later, and now it's even better. Worked great for me."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "NO & HELL NO!!!! After not even 2 hours, my poor vagina and vulvar area was burning, itching worse than the YI did, and all was inflamed. Came on here THEN read the reviews. I jumped in the shower and washed everything off of me/in me as best as I could. I am now lying in bed, in November, with the ceiling fan on (no ice pack), cooling my poor affected areas down. Don't use the strongest formula. As for me, I'll go back to other methods... even the nausea I get with Dipluran is better than this!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I felt the YI coming on and decided to try Monistat oval on Sunday night. Woke up Monday morning on fire. It was so bad I felt like my vagina had been sentenced to hell. I left work early and went to see my PCP, she ordered Diflucan. By midday, my vagina had swollen so bad I was walking gap-legged and couldn't wear any panties. So, I decided to ice it and take Motrin to help with the inflammation. It helped a lot, but here it is day 2 and I'm still slightly swollen, itching, twitching inside, and extremely sensitive. I would never ever ever use another Monistat product. It literally feels like someone poured gas on my vagina and struck a match. Ladies, avoid this product like the plague."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "When I used the Monistat 1 day or night maximum strength for a self-diagnosed yeast infection, I did experience burning about an hour after using it, and I must say it was horrible. But I just dealt with it, I went to sleep, and the next morning the swelling and pain were gone. I had a minor burning feeling, but it went away the next day, and now I'm perfectly fine. I recommend it. You're going to go through a little pain, but you get better."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "First, I don't write reviews, but I have to for this one. I just finished taking antibiotics and got a YI. I used the Monistat 1 Day O. After inserting it, within an hour, I was burning and itching severely. It's been 3 hours now, and I'm still hurting. I can't even close my legs because I'm so swollen. I don't recommend this product if you are a sensitive person. I will never, ever buy this again. Trust me, if you don't want your vagina feeling like someone threw gas on it and then threw a match on it, don't get this."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've had yeast infections in the past, and just recently, I noticed I had some itching and dryness with whitish discharge. I decided not to wait until the problem got worse, so I went to the store and bought a Monistat 1. It was the one with the pre-filled applicator. Took it last night at around 10. Throughout the night, I could feel that my downstairs was very tender and I couldn't figure out why. At first, I thought it was just the medicine working its magic. WELL, I wake up this morning and grab a mirror out of curiosity, and I am completely swollen! The lips and inside are swollen, and it's all very tender! I'm panicking and have no idea what to do in order to reduce the swelling! If anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got my first yeast infection and was told by my mom to get the 3-day treatment. I had only had it for 3-4 days, so it wasn't a bad infection. When I went to buy the medication, I saw the one-dose treatment instead and bought that. I inserted the medication at about 5:30 and was fine until 10:30. I noticed my vagina had started to swell. It only continued to become more and more swollen and developed some kind of rash around the area. It is now 8 am the next morning, and it's only continued to get worse and worse, and I am currently on my way to the ER. By all means, do NOT use this product. You're better off getting the 3- or 7-day treatment or getting the pill from your doctor."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT BUY. This is so, so awful. I inserted this devil egg about an hour ago, and this pain is a million times worse than the YI. I tried to get as much out in the shower as I could, and it feels a bit better now, but I'm still swollen and burning down there. NOT WORTH IT. This is a horrible product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have used this before and been fine, this time, I got cheap and bought a generic brand. I cannot walk now. It hurts so bad, the itching is replaced by burning, and my lady parts are so swollen all I can do is sit here with ice on myself. I should have used the 3-day one, but I am very impatient as well and apparently cheap."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Used Tuesday night, thinking everything would be okay, and by Wednesday morning my vagina had blown up like a hot air balloon. I had a CRAZY reaction to this cream. I can’t even walk correctly due to my vagina being SO very swollen. Please ask your doctor before using this or just don’t use it at all. I bought the Dollar General 1-day treatment, and I regret it so much. This was a horrible and uncomfortable experience for me. I ended up going to urgent care, and the doctor cleaned as much of the cream out as she could. PLEASE, guys, don’t use this. Don’t use any off-brand yeast infection medicine."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am shocked by all the negative reviews on here. Maybe I am less sensitive than most, I'm not sure. I just recently had my first yeast infection and bought this right away as recommended by my co-workers. I inserted the ovule and left it in overnight and used the itch relief cream to relieve the normal symptoms from the YI. By the next morning, the burning and swelling were completely gone. I applied the cream once more the next day, and by the next night, all symptoms were completely gone. I would highly recommend this product from my experience!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This was the worst stuff I have ever used! I inserted about 12 a.m. and woke up at 5 a.m. burning, itching I can’t even describe!!! My vagina was the most swollen it has ever been! I really recommend using the 3-day Monistat because this one won’t give you nothing but burning!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh. My. God. That was by far the most excruciating, horrific, painful experience. I have a high pain tolerance (broke my foot when I was a kid and walked around on it for 3 days), and I was crying and wailing and pleading to God to help me. I almost vomited from the pain. My lady parts were swollen, itchy, and throbbing beyond belief. Greek yogurt gave me immediate relief and allowed me to sleep through the night with the help of some melatonin. At the time, I would have given my left arm to make it stop. NEVER EVER EVER USE THIS!!! I want to petition this to our congressman, like honestly, WHAT IS THIS STUFF?!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am 18 years old and started having a yeast infection, so I took Monistat One without looking at the reviews. I applied it at night, but when I woke, my vagina swelled to three times its size, and I had an unbearable itch and burn. The MOST PAINFUL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I quickly rushed to the emergency room where they had to flush the medicine out of me, and they prescribed me steroids. I will never recommend Monistat to anyone, especially after all the horror stories I have seen online. Please DO NOT use this medicine, go to the doctor where they will prescribe you a pill. It will make life so much easier!!!!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm 18, and I've had a yeast infection once before in my life. After using the meds right before bed (as suggested), I went to sleep feeling a burning sensation. But I expected that much. Waking up at 4 a.m. (now), I'm begging someone to drive me to the hospital because the burning is so bad, and my labia minora have swollen to the size of God knows what. I definitely do not recommend this product to anyone."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do NOT use this medication. It is WAY too strong. Caused VERY swollen and painful labia. Had to go to the doctor and get prescription steroids in order to calm down the reaction. Possibly try the 7-day. Do not do the 1-day. Way too potent and causes very strong reactions."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm reading a lot of bad reviews, and the common complaint is burning, itching, and swelling. Well, if you read the pamphlet before using, you will see in fine print it says may cause burning, itching, and swelling due to the medicine actually doing its job. I'd rather feel that than the most annoying itch ever in my vagina. I find the one-day treatment works better than those seven-day treatments, and I would buy again, but hopefully I won't need it either ever again or for a very, very long time because vaginal itching is the worst. I would give this review a 10, but it cost $20.00 lol. But I understand for something to be cured, it's gonna cost."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I went into urgent care knowing that I most likely was getting a YI. She prescribed me a pill and told me to get Monistat. I decided to do Monistat 1 day. I decided to use it in the middle of the night that night. I woke up with the most swollen and burning vagina of my life. It’s now 8:30 pm the next night, and I’m still just as swollen. I’ve iced all day long, and nothing. I hope when I wake up tomorrow I have some relief. Please don’t ever use this product."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I never thought to search for reviews before using a medication, but I will from now on. I used this medication for the first time last night, and by morning, my vulva and clitoris were swollen and extremely tender and painful. It hurts to walk, even, and burns when I urinate. It seems as though this is a fairly common reaction, judging by the reviews--makes me wonder why this is on the market?"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Is there a lawsuit going? I got a yeast infection from antibiotics recently, and years ago I used the 3-day with no issues. Well, yesterday I was desperate for relief and got the 1-day. I popped it in and felt fine. ... Then, the flamethrower, kerosene on a grill, indescribable pain set in. Never EVER in my life have I had pain like this, and I have had my share of ailments. I don’t know what sick person decided to call this 'relief.' And the 'anti-itching cream' was like applying alcohol or salt to my bits. I am swollen and crying from the searing pain I’m in. I have a week of meetings, dates, and events ahead, which is why I opted for the 1-day instead of the 3-day. Walking to my bathroom is a struggle. I honestly thought I was having a horrific allergic reaction until I read reviews! How ON EARTH is this torture device on the market?! A warning for everyone with a vagina to STAY FAR AWAY. Praying for the rest of my victims here."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG, had a little itching and redness, so decided to save a trip to the gyno and bought Monistat 1 cream-filled application. I took it at 9:00 pm. Within minutes, I felt tingling and burning but thought that was part of the process. I fell asleep and awoke a few hours later because I felt like I had something in between my legs, and the pain and burning were so severe. Got a mirror and screamed, my VJ was the size of a pear! I looked deformed, like nothing I ever seen. It was swollen 10 times normal size. I was laying on the floor crying. I read about how many other women this happened to, and one suggested a douche with cold water. Try to get the cream out, although so much already absorbed into the vagina. Helped a little. BEWARE."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "About 30 min after inserting this Surprise Egg of absolute awfulness, I began experiencing the true trials of Monistat 1. First, the itch of death came, I yearned for a scratch so hard a cactus would seem like a good option. Up next, Mordor was relocated to my cave of wonders with burning sensations so hot and swelling with so much pressure the Helzberg and IDC were calling to harvest the diamond forged from it. After desperately pleading with every god of every religion, as well as soaking in the hot water and rinsing what was left of my mangled bits, the side effects subsided some, but are still rather uncomfortable and present. At this point in time, I have reached hour 3 and hope that it only gets better from here. 10/10 would not recommend."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used Monistat 7 and 3 before. Never had any intense pain or swelling after applying them. But really, who has time for that, especially when there is a fancy 1-day application? Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Don't get me wrong, it works, you'll just be battling the fires of hell in your vagina most of the day. I used the 1-day last night, and all was good. I went to bed and slept for 5 peaceful hours. The pain actually woke me up: intense burning and really swollen. Took a bath and felt a little better. About 1 hour later, intense pain and the little bottle of devil's cream they give you sucks. I researched home remedies for burning and found that applying yogurt helps. Desperate and in agony, I found myself spooning yogurt on my lady parts. It did bring relief, but only for a bit. Swollen and burning, I decided to try ice. Get a bowl of ice and find somewhere to lay down and relax, you are going to need to be relaxed for this. I gradually iced it. At first, the only thing I could do was remind myself to breathe. Honestly, it sucks, but it feels really good when you go numb. It was absolutely worth the first 5 minutes. I noticed my swelling go down and my pain eased significantly. Monistat 1 is very effective, but it depends if you want a fire vagina for part of the day. I'm still torn if I'll ever use it again. It did make me feel much better, but there are a couple of hours of intense pain after applying."
