For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It's been one full week since I've taken this medication. I just feel gross down there, like a weird itchy, fuzzy, sore feeling. It was horrible at first, but I guess the pain in general has gotten better. Just feels like there are tiny bugs down there, don't know how else to describe it. Medication probably messed with my nerve endings."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "These reviews can really freak someone out who have never taken Monistat before. This was my first time using the product and if I ever experience a YI again, I will gladly use it again. I only had slight discomfort, no itching, and no major burning like some of these reviews I've read. Everyone's body responds differently, and I felt relief of the YI within hours of taking Monistat One. I wish anyone who tries it to have the experience I had."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "It was like my first YI all over again. It was painful and irritating and so annoying. My sister told me to get the one-day treatment, and so I did because I didn't think I could do it for 7 days. I couldn't even sit down, my stuff got swollen due to irritation. I inserted the treatment, and my vag felt the same burn it did as before. Just coped it down a little. I put a liner on so it would drain, and I changed it on the hour, this was like 9 pm. The next morning, it still burned and irritated me just as it did the night before. Sis said to wait, it works. Right now, I have very little irritation. I am infection prone, but the one day worked for me."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I too, just like the others, used Monistat 1 day before I read the reviews! I too experienced a great deal of discomfort to the point that I wanted to scratch my insides out. Fortunately, it only lasted for about 2 hours. Per some suggestions on this review, I tried plain yogurt and an ice pack. Now it is morning and I am still feeling a slight pain and burning, but tolerable. At first, I was standing and sitting, and then I lay down for the night. I think this product is best taken at night, so you can lay down. If you experience the very negative side effects, call your doctor and don't wait. My doctor said that this medication is very strong and that it used to be what was given in RX strength. He suggested hydrocortisone or cortisone on the outside only."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I gave this product a 5 because, although it cured my YI, I had to endure the most painful vaginal pain I've ever had, and I've birthed 5 children. 30 minutes after inserting it, my vagina started to burn, the itch was out of this world. I got in the shower, which seemed like an eternity, to cool down my lovely lady parts. It did not help. I finally put on my thinking cap, got an ice pack, wrapped it with a washcloth, and held it on my vagina. I can only imagine some man made this, there's no way this shouldn't/couldn't be used as torture. If you need to take this, I'd suggest taking it at night before bed after throwing back a few vodka tonics or a few Benadryls or some NyQuil to ease you into slumber. If not, you'll feel like I did, I wanted to rip my crotch off and throw it into a pool of ice-cold milk."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I always use Monistat 1 because I'll forget to finish the course when I used 3 or 7 days, lol. It burns like hell about an hour or so after you insert it. That's when the egg is breaking down and killing the yeast. I've only ever used this, so I expect the discomfort. I'd rather it hurt for a few hours than have this dang infection, though. Nope, doesn't feel good at all. But it sure does get rid of the infections. I've been using this since I was 18. I'm 31 now. I have to use it once a year, maybe twice. It all depends on my asthma steroids. Regardless of the pain, if I have a yeast infection, I go to the store for this product with no hesitation."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This stuff is the absolute worst medication ever! I took Monistat 1 yesterday around 7:30, and just seconds after I applied the medication, it started to burn and itch like crazy! The itchiness was unbearable to the point where I was crying, I wanted to rip my hair out! I tried to soak in a bath, that did nothing. All I could do was lay down and apply a cold compress to my vagina. That took the pain away but only for a second. I was so miserable! I tried using the anti-itch cream, that made it worse! The only thing that calmed it down was applying ice since I was so raw. I don't recommend this product to anyone!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Man, I bought this before reading reviews. Used it at 9:30 last night and then decided to check the reviews on here. Literally started freaking out after, tried to take it out and couldn't. I took a Benadryl so I could maybe sleep through the pain. It never hurt??? I never had pain. Not really any burning either. I'm not itching anymore though, so I know it's working. I didn't use the itch cream or wipes. Just the insert. It's now 11:30 a.m. the next day, and I'm fine, ha. The reviews on here are so scary! But I had no problems. Everyone's different, I guess."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "How can I explain the pain I felt 3 to 4 hours after inserting this medication? I had the most painful burns: vagina, vulva, thighs, etc. I had such deep, burning, horrific pain that I was left with horrible scar tissue that is now so sensitive to walking, running, etc. I always have pain after. Do not use."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've been using Vagistat-3, and I'm on the second day. The first day I used it, the discharge was coming down a lot, and the second day it wasn't really any. It's not that itchy anymore, but it's really sore from me itching before I knew what it was. I hope the itching can go away because this is the worst feeling ever."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Used as suggested...insert at bedtime. Felt worse when I got up in the AM. A lot of the cream came out (maybe to be expected) and I have 0 relief. Pain and itching worse than before treatment. Feel like my vagina is trying to turn inside out when I walk, and I can feel the swelling when I walk or lay down. I'd like to know if I should wait this out and see if the symptoms get better or go to the doctor. It’s Thanksgiving week. My only option for relief will be the ER. Will NEVER purchase this again. I’m surprised there isn’t a class action lawsuit against this product. I wanted relief, but now I have more problems. Ugh! I am contacting the company about a refund."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have used the 1-day Monistat ovule before, and it has always cleared up the infection. But there is definitely an initial 24 hours where everything is worse-I'm in the middle of that right now. I took it last night at about 1 a.m., and I feel swollen and sore. Made it through the day but canceled plans tonight because I'm so uncomfortable. Hopefully, I will wake up tomorrow and the YI will be gone."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "After about an hour of having this medicine applied, I was experiencing the worst burning sensation of my life. I had to rush home from work to try and get it off of and out of me. I was shaking in pain and was so swollen the next day I was unable to wear pants and struggled to walk. From what I can tell, this kind of reaction is not uncommon with this medicine. Why it is still sold in stores is beyond me. I would never recommend this medicine to anyone."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm unsure as of yet whether this horrid medicine has helped or will help, but I wanted to add to the numerous warnings from others like me. If you're reading this before buying, DON'T DO IT! The discomfort and irritation from the infection is a cakewalk compared to what you will feel after inserting this into your most delicate of places. The pain and burning were so intense that I'm quite certain the inner walls of my vagina were melted through. Never in a million years would I have imagined that I would contemplate stuffing my hoo-ha full of ice. Please, heed these warnings, it's not worth it! And if you're one of the poor souls desperately trying to determine how long your torment may last, unfortunately several hours. Good luck!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I never write reviews, but this was so terrible I have to. I started feeling like I had a YI yesterday morn, and by the evening, it was really bothering me. This is only the second time I had a YI, and last time I used the Monistat 3-day medicine, which was okay. So when I saw that I could take the medicine all at once, I thought it would be a better experience. I was so wrong! I inserted the medicine around 10 pm and went to bed hoping that I would wake up with it gone. Instead, at 3 am, I woke up with the worst burning and itching I ever felt in my life! The pain was so unbearable for several hours until I came across someone's post who suggested Advil to help the swelling. So at around 8 am, I took Advil and put ice, by 10:30 am, I felt so much better."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used Monistat 1 on Friday night right before bed, and it's Monday evening, and my vagina still feels like it is on fire. I was in so much pain last night that I woke up in the middle of the night and woke my fiancé up, and we made an ice pack for my vagina. I went to urgent care this morning, and they gave me a prescription, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the antibiotics kick in soon and that my reaction to the Monistat 1 ends. The PA who saw me today told me that if I have another yeast infection, I should use the 7-day treatment, but honestly, I would just call my doctor or go to urgent care instead of taking Monistat. I wrote this review because I would never want anyone to experience the pain that I have experienced from this."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Horrible. I inserted the 'devil's egg' around midnight and applied the cream, instantly, I was on fire. I mean fire ants living in my V, the devil running around down there. I normally have a high pain tolerance but was crying and yelling like a baby. Have not experienced pain like this since my appendicitis. Never again. I took Advil and inserted a coconut oil tampon. After about an hour of sleep, I woke up in crazy amounts of pain, took two T3s, and was still dying. I ended up in the ER around 5 am, had to get more drugs and a different prescription. I went to hell and back last night. Take caution."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have a YI, and I purchased Monistat 1. I inserted the oval, and I was fine. I had a little itch, so I went ahead and applied the cream 30 minutes later. After applying the cream, that's when I instantly felt intense burning and bad itching. Aahhh. It's driving me crazy. It made it so much worse. Well, the pain at least. Never again will I ever buy this cream. 20 dollars for a box of devil ants. They should call it the devil's meds. Really painful. I rinsed as much as I could out, and now I'm laying in bed in pain, lol. Don't try."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Have had a yeast infection for about 4 days now, as I had no access to a pharmacy. Figured I'd give this a shot for fast relief. An hour later and the itching/burning has gotten so bad I am crying. Zero relief. Can't concentrate on anything right now. I've had yeast infections before and always went with Canesten (which I've never had issues with). Will never buy this again. Not worth the pain. Hope it goes away in an hour or two...."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "It hurt like anything the first night, but it worked! I was back to normal, no itching, and my discharge was back to its regular state. If you can't handle the pain for the first two days, then don't get it. It worked just fine for me."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Buyer beware! Like many other users, I learned too late that your vagina will catch fire when you insert the capsule. I inserted about 8 pm, then at 10 pm I peed and went to bed. That's when the unbearable burning and itching started. It immediately escalated to me thinking something had to be wrong, I'm having a bad reaction! I quickly got online and found these reviews! I took one user's advice and hopped into a warm bath with about 1/2 of apple cider vinegar. It helped, the pain came down from a full-on 10 to about 7. I'm no longer squirming and grabbing my vagina in agony. But it's still very uncomfortable, and I hope I can get some sleep. I will not use this product again. I'll just go to the doctor to get a one-dose oral med next time."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG. I had a mild yeast infection: some discharge, itching, swelling, and I wanted to treat it quickly, so I picked Monistat one day without doing any research prior. I put the dinosaur egg in me before bed and slept through the night, but when I woke up for class, I started to experience the worst pain I have ever felt. The burning was so much worse than the actual infection, and it's been 6 hours since it started burning, and it's still continuing. There is also blood coming out of me. I've been told that the 7- or 3-day Monistat is a similar experience, but not as bad. This drug is also not even guaranteed to work, so I experienced this excruciating pain for nothing and have to go on the prescribed pill."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I did a search to see what could help the constant itching and discomfort in my vagina, and this product came up as effective and quick to relieve my symptoms. I went to the pharmacy to buy, hoping for some kind of relief, but just like the other ladies, it only made it so much worse. The pain is almost unbearable, and I can take a lot of pain. I'm on fire, and the itching is the worst in my entire life (I'm 46). I am looking for healing prayers. It totally needs to have a warning. I'm returning this horrible product."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I thought it would be as scary and bad when I applied the tube of Monistat 1, but it’s actually not that bad. Like I did feel a minor discomfort, but it’s nothing that I can’t handle. There’s a little burning sensation, but like I said, it’s not that bad that I can’t handle. It’s my first night using it, so hopefully it helps me out with this yeast infection..."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Please, please don't use! Omg, I wish I found this before inserting the goddamn ovule! For two hours already, I'm in the worst imaginable pain and discomfort! I'm out of my mind! Trying to endure, hoping it will subside, but seriously considering rinsing/removing this curse of 'medicine' I paid almost $20 for!"
