For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the worst medicine in the world. The pain it caused was 10 times worse than the actual YI. I am on fire, and I am so mad at myself for not reading these reviews first. This pain with Monistat 1 is indescribable."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "As everyone else suggests, DO NOT BUY. I’ve been hit by a car, and that pain was less than this medicine. I put it in about two days ago and have been in excruciating pain since then. I can barely walk and have been lying in bed for almost two days straight. This stuff even kickstarted my depression, and I have been crying all day, haven’t been able to eat, can barely pee without the burning making me see stars. The pain is so bad I have almost blacked out. This stuff is awful, will never use again, and it should be OFF THE SHELVES."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first time having a yeast infection, and Monistat 1 is the worst to ever take. Okay, I inserted this ovule last night, and it really burned once the medication started to leak out, so when I woke up, my vagina was huge, and it burned soooooooooo bad. It still hurts, and I am in a lot of pain. I do not recommend this to anyone. This should not be on the market at all. It is too strong, period - I want my vagina back."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "When I used the Monistat 1 day or night maximum strength for a self-diagnosed yeast infection, I did experience burning about an hour after using it, and I must say it was horrible. But I just dealt with it, I went to sleep, and the next morning the swelling and pain were gone. I had a minor burning feeling, but it went away the next day, and now I'm perfectly fine. I recommend it. You're going to go through a little pain, but you get better."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This medicine worked in the end, but getting there was the worst night of my life as far as pain is concerned. My symptoms were mild at worst, so I thought I would take care of it before my infection got terrible. I can count the times I have cried in my adult life, and this was one of them. I will never take this again simply because the pain was so bad. There has to be something better!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT BUY. This is so, so awful. I inserted this devil egg about an hour ago, and this pain is a million times worse than the YI. I tried to get as much out in the shower as I could, and it feels a bit better now, but I'm still swollen and burning down there. NOT WORTH IT. This is a horrible product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Never again! I inserted the ovule at around 10:00 right after a shower, along with the cream. I woke up around 2:00 a.m. to the worst burning and itching ever. I can't sleep, it literally made me burst into tears, the pain is so bad! I would much rather go back to the slight annoyance of my YI rather than deal with this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I bought the Monistat 1 (6.5) yesterday because I had gotten a pretty bad yeast infection and just wanted it gone! Here's what happened... I read all of the instructions before bed (around 11 pm), and it seemed pretty straightforward. I grabbed what I needed (panties, panty liner, and meds) and laid on the bed. After the meds were in, I was scared to get up. I know there was a time where this stuff would rub like the Dickens. I had some itching and discomfort about 10 minutes into the process. The pain wasn't unbearable, but it wasn't a walk in the park either. I ignored it until I fell asleep. This morning, I am pleased to say I have no itching, no burning, and after a great shower, I have no discharge. Seems to have worked fine. I recommend."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Omg!! Fire, fire, fire. My vulva felt like I sat on a campfire!! This is too strong for a delicate place (vagina). Almost an hour after insertion, my itching intensified, burning felt as if I sat on Satan's lap-just excruciating pain-until all of a sudden I felt relief out of nowhere. I will use a prescription from my MD next time. Whewwww, horrific experience."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It is as bad as everyone said. Immediately after I put the application in, painful, itchy burning in the vagina. For relief, I used a cold, wet cloth dabbed in water and apple cider vinegar. Let it sit for 10 minutes. And all was well."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Monistat 1! This medicine is unbelievable! First of all, it puts you in more pain and discomfort than you were already in! The burning sensation is unbearable. I'm literally sitting on the toilet trying to push it out. I can't even sleep, it's been in for about 2 hours. Use the 3 or 7 day, it is less harsh."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG! I can’t even explain the pain, itch, and burning I’m feeling after inserting this inside of me. I wish I would have read the comments before, but I’m sure if you’re currently reading this, it’s too late for you too. I’ve never regretted anything as much as I regret putting this medication in me. It’s now been an hour, and I don’t know how much more I can take. This should be taken off the shelves!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh great. No, I find these reviews as I'm about three hours post-insertion of this torture device. Oh, the pain and burning. I mean right after I put it in!!!! Why, oh why????? I didn't know. Now I do."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've never used such a horrible product. The burning I felt less than ten minutes after (and for hours later) inserting the medicine ball is far worse than any discomfort I felt from the actual infection. It is yet to be seen whether this will actually even clear up the yeast infection, but regardless of how quickly you wish to get rid of the infection, this product is not worth it at all. I'm in excruciating pain that has restricted me from sleeping and brought me close to tears. Do not take Monistat 1 day."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am 18 years old and started having a yeast infection, so I took Monistat One without looking at the reviews. I applied it at night, but when I woke, my vagina swelled to three times its size, and I had an unbearable itch and burn. The MOST PAINFUL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I quickly rushed to the emergency room where they had to flush the medicine out of me, and they prescribed me steroids. I will never recommend Monistat to anyone, especially after all the horror stories I have seen online. Please DO NOT use this medicine, go to the doctor where they will prescribe you a pill. It will make life so much easier!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, so I first started experiencing what felt like minor itching and the onset of a YI a few weeks ago. I have only had YI's after antibiotics, and I am a firm believer in probiotics, so I thought it was rather odd. I grabbed one of these in hopes that it would be a quick fix, and BOY was I in for a ride on Hell's Chu-Chu train! At first, it worked fine. But it didn't cure the YI. I went to the doc yesterday to get Diflucan, but decided to use the topical cream as temporary external relief while the script ran its course. I put the cream on about 20 minutes ago and have been wallowing in pain since. This is so much worse than the minor itching. I would literally rather take a bullet and die! My vag feels like it was attacked by a wasp's nest!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used Monistat twice before. I've used both the 3-day and 7-day, they both burned quite a bit, but Monistat 1 was by far the worst and most painful one I've dealt with. It felt like my vagina was being burned with a blowtorch, and this lasted for about half an hour. I would not recommend this to anyone. Save yourself the time, effort, the money, and the pain! Just go to the doctor for the pill, so much easier."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do NOT use this medication. It is WAY too strong. Caused VERY swollen and painful labia. Had to go to the doctor and get prescription steroids in order to calm down the reaction. Possibly try the 7-day. Do not do the 1-day. Way too potent and causes very strong reactions."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "WOW, do not subject yourself to this. Used the one-day treatment, put it in at around 9 o'clock, and woke up at 1 AM screaming in tears. Vag is burning, stinging, and so itchy. Got in the shower and tried rinsing off any part of the medication, and it provided little relief, there's not much you can do besides wait it out. Definitely can't sleep with this amount of pain. Fingers crossed that if you're reading this, it's BEFORE you consider buying this product. The egg you put inside you feels like it's filled with FIRE. Literal FIRE. However, at maximum strength relief, there come major side effects. Overall, my YI is gone."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Purchased the Monistat 1 Maximum Strength. This was my 1st time experiencing a YI, so I didn't realize I'd had it until 6 weeks after giving birth. Apparently, it was another side effect of giving birth that wasn't explained to me. I just thought it was normal & would naturally stop on its own until the common sense part of my brain thought that the itching & pain seemed abnormal. I told my GYN of my concern & was prescribed a pill that was supposed to rid my body of the YI within 3 days, but it only stopped the discharge. So I then started looking up over-the-counter meds & came across Monistat. So far, I'm so happy I did. I feel sooooooo much better. No burning, no more itching. I recommend."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I never thought to search for reviews before using a medication, but I will from now on. I used this medication for the first time last night, and by morning, my vulva and clitoris were swollen and extremely tender and painful. It hurts to walk, even, and burns when I urinate. It seems as though this is a fairly common reaction, judging by the reviews--makes me wonder why this is on the market?"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Is there a lawsuit going? I got a yeast infection from antibiotics recently, and years ago I used the 3-day with no issues. Well, yesterday I was desperate for relief and got the 1-day. I popped it in and felt fine. ... Then, the flamethrower, kerosene on a grill, indescribable pain set in. Never EVER in my life have I had pain like this, and I have had my share of ailments. I don’t know what sick person decided to call this 'relief.' And the 'anti-itching cream' was like applying alcohol or salt to my bits. I am swollen and crying from the searing pain I’m in. I have a week of meetings, dates, and events ahead, which is why I opted for the 1-day instead of the 3-day. Walking to my bathroom is a struggle. I honestly thought I was having a horrific allergic reaction until I read reviews! How ON EARTH is this torture device on the market?! A warning for everyone with a vagina to STAY FAR AWAY. Praying for the rest of my victims here."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG, had a little itching and redness, so decided to save a trip to the gyno and bought Monistat 1 cream-filled application. I took it at 9:00 pm. Within minutes, I felt tingling and burning but thought that was part of the process. I fell asleep and awoke a few hours later because I felt like I had something in between my legs, and the pain and burning were so severe. Got a mirror and screamed, my VJ was the size of a pear! I looked deformed, like nothing I ever seen. It was swollen 10 times normal size. I was laying on the floor crying. I read about how many other women this happened to, and one suggested a douche with cold water. Try to get the cream out, although so much already absorbed into the vagina. Helped a little. BEWARE."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "To preface, I'm using Vagistat-3, but since there's apparently no option to review that one, I'm going to give my two cents on Vagistat-1. (Considering the only difference is the size of the dose, I don't think this will be too big of an issue.) My experience has been very good. I've had no pain, no swelling, no burning or itching, or any other unsavory side effects. I can definitely recommend this if you are positive you have a yeast infection. People are more likely to leave a review when they've had a bad experience. I was terrified and delayed using it for several days because of all of these negative reviews. Also, this kind of product is more likely to cause you painful or uncomfortable side effects if you don't actually have a yeast infection. So please be sure you have a yeast infection before you try this. If you've never had a yeast infection before, and you've not spoken with a health professional, I would advise against this. Otherwise, I think it's great."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Never again. Whatever you're going through, this product will raise your pain and discomfort to hellish levels. Go Diflucan, or a 3-day, or a 7-day... anything but this one. The pain is killing me right now."
