Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "If you have made the same mistake and did not Google before treating like myself and the others who have posted here, you are in for some discomfort. I purchased Monistat 1-day ovule and inserted it on a Wed afternoon. I have tried the creams in the past and don't ever recall the feeling of fire burning anything close to this. It is now 10 PM, and sleeping seems very unlikely. My ladyparts are worse than the first sign of my Yi, it's the worst throbbing and burning ever. Before I purchased the Monistat 1, my discomfort was at a 3, now it's a 6, and I'm praying it doesn't worsen. The cream hasn't helped at all. I'm hoping this stops soon because, holy moly, I'm annoyingly uncomfortable! I highly recommend wearing a panty liner and loose panties. :("

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Horrible experience. Because of the itching and burning 2 minutes after I applied, I decided to look for reviews. I tried to remove it with vaginal douching, and it relieved discomfort a bit. I always use Diflucan tablet 150 mg, but the pharmacy was closed and went to Walgreens to buy their trademark single dose. Please do not use it, do not hurt yourself. They should remove this product."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Well, I just used the product and started feeling squirmy, like something was bothering me down there. I decided to look at the reviews (READ REVIEWS FIRST). I can say that it’s been about 15-20 minutes, and I haven’t had anything else happen yet, but skimming through the first few reviews made me jump up and quickly try to flush this medicine out of my pooch. I’m prepared (at least I think I am) for what will happen next, but by the time I got to the bathroom, some had already leaked out. As I said before, I read the reviews, I was feeling some type of discomfort, not so much an itch or burn, just some type of feeling that made me hold my pooch to make the feeling go away. I’m happy I read these when I did, and for them to be so recent made me try to flush it out as quickly as possible."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMGoodness!!!! I knew I had a YI from the antibiotics I had for a UTI. The symptoms started on a Friday after my doc office closed, so I called my doc office on Monday and he called in a Diflucan. Still itching on Wednesday afternoon and no relief in sight, the pharmacist recommended the Monistat 1 Day or Night Ovule. I bought the “kit” and inserted the ovule around 2:30 pm. I read the reviews and thought it can’t be that bad. I was VERY wrong. At first, the cooling wipes and the external cream worked great. No itching. Sweet relief after 6 days. After about an hour, I am having some discomfort from burning, but the intense itch is HORRIBLE!!! I don’t know if I can handle the itching!! I’m currently sitting on an ice pack and it’s barely relieving the itch... just enough to make me not want to use a Brillo pad on my lady parts!! I just hope this works and the itch stops soon. Or someone clubs me over the head and knocks me unconscious. Either is fine with me at this point!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the worst product ever!!! Do not waste your money. Go to your doctor instead. Hours after putting the little ball of medication into my vag, oh my goodness!!! I was in so much discomfort! My va-jj was on fire!!! It burned so bad I almost cried. And it didn’t go away either. Nope! Instead, it got progressively worse over the following 2-3 days. Not only that, but it made my lady bits swell up!! I was a swollen, burning mess. It was worse than having an actual yeast infection! I’m beginning to wonder if the makers of this medication are a bunch of dudes and they are playing a sick joke on all of us women!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Purchased Monistat 1 day after first signs of symptoms. Within two hours, horrendous burning, swelling, pain, and discomfort. Ice packs helped a bit. Took painful to wash. I will never use this again. Awful pain."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took Monistat 1 at around bedtime, and by the next afternoon, I was in tears, about to freak out while on public transportation because I have never felt such discomfort in my life. My vagina was incredibly inflamed and felt like it was on fire, and my itch was ten times worse, but even coming close to touching it made me want to die. Worst week of my life. Some women have had positive experiences, but in my opinion, it's not worth the risk. I wouldn't wish what Monistat 1 did to me on my worst enemy."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This product should be pulled off the shelves. The 1st day I took it, I just had moderate internal pain. The 2nd-3rd day my inner and outer labia were on fire, and I had to use an ice bag on my lady parts to ease the pain. The 4th day it still hurts, and my YI is back and 10 times worse. I've been so uncomfortable all week. My doctor just called in Diflucan for me...I wish I would have just done that in the first place. I would not recommend this product to my worst enemy. The product is a waste of money."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is NOT an experience, but more so an explanation of why the burning sensation occurs. It is AND isn’t a side effect. It’s more so your body’s reaction to foreign objects in the vagina. Anything you place in the vagina is likely to cause irritation and upset the pH balance. When you take oral medication, it helps combat the yeast infection from inside the bloodstream. Yet, topical creams, ointments, or ovules are applied “outside” the body. All the products serve their purpose: to rid of the yeast infection. If you don’t like the discomfort (which I’m sure no one does), the Rx route is your best solution. Also, if you’ve never been DIAGNOSED with a yeast infection before, DO NOT use these products. Self-diagnosis of your lady problem will only further complicate the healing process. There are many vaginal infections that mimic each other. These products are a “quick fix” for those who’ve had this problem before and just want instant relief."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ladies, I'm sorry, but the reviews are right! I'm one of those people who would rather go to the doctor and take the pill. Well, one of the doctors I went to actually told me that she doesn't prescribe Diflucan to her patients and actually didn't want to give it to me, even though I requested the pill because I don't trust over-the-counter stuff usually. Anyway, I tried the Monistat, trying to save time and money, and after two hours and urinating, I'm feeling the burn, ladies! It's extremely uncomfortable. I don't care if it's gone by the time I wake up, I shouldn't feel this at all! Go to the doctor and get the prescription."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have tried using generic brands OTC meds to relieve my yeast infection pain and discomfort and have found that only Monistat gives the perfect relief and cure better than any other brand that I've tried. Recently, I bought Monistat 3 to cure a yeast infection I got from being on oral antibiotics for 2 weeks to help aid in precaution treatment for dental procedures. I noticed burning and discomfort which subsided hours after and burning and pain following the last dose of medication. I understand what I was experiencing were mild side effects and eased my symptoms with natural baby wipes and Vaseline after each visit to the restroom until I noticed improvement and my symptoms went away. With that said, I will still use and recommend Monistat."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have been with symptoms of a YI for 3 days now, so today I decided to go get something to relieve my pain since my doctor is not available. I found this medicine, and I tried it around 1:00 pm. It is a little uncomfortable to insert, but minimal, and being my first time trying it, I didn't know what to expect. Around 5, it started to burn. Everyone's pain resistance is different, it is uncomfortable, and it does burn. You do release discharge, but keep dry and clean. I think I rather take this pain than what I was feeling before. It feels like you're being pumped down there and swollen, but not to the point of not being able to take the pain. I keep in mind tomorrow it will be all worth it. So far, great medicine, itching is gone already, and it's 11:30 pm."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got the CVS prefilled ointment brand, and after I inserted the stick and pulled it back out, I noticed that there was some left over on the stick, so I decided to take it with my finger and apply it to the outer region of my nether region. BIG MISTAKE. What causes the intense itching I think may be when it comes in contact with the already itchy and painful skin of the vulva. It really was very, very uncomfortable for quite a while, but definitely something worth powering through to end a week of torture from the YI."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "As I read others' reviews, I must say I did not get any burning nor discomfort. I used it while my menstrual cycle was active, and after my cycle, I no longer had the symptoms. I used this once before while not going through my menstrual cycle, and it cleared me up only for a few weeks, but the symptoms returned."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, so the burning isn't so bad. I didn't experience the itching. Medicine seems to be working. I did, however, douche with a warm water and apple cider vinegar and distilled vinegar mix. It does cause some minor throbbing and discomfort. I did use the wipes the first day after I used the bathroom, had no need for the ointment. I'm hoping this thing does go away by Sunday."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I don't know who created this product. I tried something different this round, and WOW what a huge, HUGE mistake. This stuff needs to be taken off the market. I am on day FIVE of extreme burning, itching, and discomfort/irritation to the point I have cried multiple times. This medication starts BURNING BAD minutes after you insert the ointment. Then for days, as it leaks out. It irritates the whole vaginal area... swelling, burning, itching, and due to all this, I have gotten NO sleep. I am currently having to CONSTANTLY ice it and put miconazole cream on it every few hours to get a LITTLE comfort. Plus ibuprofen for the swelling and Zyrtec for the itching. This is worse than giving birth. The FDA needs to remove this product! It needs ZERO stars."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first time using the pre-filled treatment. It is burning the inside of my vagina like crazy. It is very uncomfortable. I was wondering if it meant I didn't have a yeast infection or something. Why would they do this? I thought it was something wrong with me, but I googled it and found similar complaints."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "First off, this stuff does work, but when I put it in, it feels like I have a flame torch up there and then inserted poison ivy in after. My lady parts are on fire and I could claw it off. My stomach is in knots and I feel super nauseous, but it has been the only thing that has helped me. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October of 2018, and since then, I have had at least one yeast infection a month. I want to take an ice bath. I would say I wouldn't recommend this if it didn't work, but it's so extremely uncomfortable."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I bought it last night. I'm not sure what triggered my yeast infection, but I was very itchy and hot down there. I went to the drugstore. I bought Monistat 1 because I wanted it to be over quickly, so I inserted the egg last night, went to bed. I don't feel any relief, still itchy and uncomfortable."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I purchased the CVS brand of the 1-day application last night after battling the itch, burn, and discomfort utilizing holistic methods for 3 days. The first hour was like, whoa! It felt like there was a war in my panties. Lol. I called the 24-hour nurse line and was told that depending on the severity of the yeast infection, the reaction could vary. Once the application began to resolve, I felt the relief. Thank goodness."

It may work instantly and be super quick, but the pain you must go through is almost unbearable. I’m so lightheaded from the pain alone."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've taken this before, but for some reason this time I'm in pain. Burning is unbearable. I showered, inserted the oval, woke up 3 hours later in so much discomfort. I have never experienced this. Maybe a bad batch has gotten out, but this pain is just too much for me. Never, ever, never again. I'm not sexually active either, so I know it's just a YI, but I felt better before, way better."
