Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I just used this product today. I had never had a yeast infection before, but I really needed to get rid of it. I'm at college and couldn't wait to go to the doctor. I will admit that my vagina is extremely itchy and uncomfortable. The thing is, I don't have any more yeast-looking stuff around my vaginal area, all that is there is the medicine itself. While I'm in a lot of discomfort, this product does work. You just need to live through the pain and get rid of the infection."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I didn't read any reviews on the product until after I had already inserted it, but my friend was just talking about how she used it, so I trusted it to work. I was laying in bed on my phone during the time that I read everyone saying how painful Monistat was, and at that time I didn't feel anything. About an hour later, I started to feel a little discomfort, and as the night went on (I was out and about), the burning started. I came home later that night, took a hot bath, and went to sleep. The hot bath made the discomfort go away, and by the time I woke up, I felt no pain or itching. So basically, I don't recommend taking this at any time other than when you are sleeping. I'm sure I would've slept through the pain otherwise. The product works!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the ovule and did experience the pain and discomfort 2 hrs later. Days after, I have swelling and pain. I went to the doctor and everything was normal. I was told to use a cold compress and take ibuprofen for inflammation. Waiting on results."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I bought Monistat last night for some itching I've been having. I've never had a yeast infection, but I knew it was because of the symptoms I was having. I showered and put in Monistat at around 10 pm and went to bed. I woke up around 4 with discomfort but went back to sleep. I woke up at 7 for work, and the pain is unbearable. I wish I had read the reviews before. The burning is so intense, and the itching still remains, it basically made it worse, and now I don't know what to do... I will NEVER use it again. Everyone's different, so it won't burn some people, but honestly, I wouldn't take that chance if I were you!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "NEVER EVER AGAIN! This is my 1st YI, compliments of antibiotics. I had stopped taking the antibiotics when the symptoms started 4 days ago. I took AZO yeast for a few days, and although the itch was better, the discharge didn't stop. I got Monistat 1 ovule. I inserted it approximately 2 hours ago, and I've been crying in the bathroom for the last hour to an hour and a half. The burning is excruciating, and I have a high tolerance for pain. I can't sit still because it's so badly burning and itching, I'm going out of my mind. I tried getting it out. Topical cream hurt too, I had to wipe it off immediately due to discomfort. I'm debating going to the ER, that's how bad. A cold wet washcloth helps at the moment."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I only wish I had read the reviews before that fateful moment I inserted the egg of fiery hell. Ladies, if you are reading this... PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT USE THIS. And I thought the original yeast infection was painful. I would have rather stuck it out for a couple more days using a different med. I bought this because it said 1-day and that you could use it during the day and still go about my errands. Well, an hour later and I’m in bed with an ice pack on my lady bits, eating whatever snacks I can get my hands on. I already sat in the shower and washed it off. Thank goodness it’s a Saturday, 'cause if I was at work, I would’ve had to take the day off. This is the most uncomfortable panging, itching, burning I can’t even describe, but trust me, it is definitely not worth the 1-day fix (if it even works in one day... I guess I will find out). I just hope this feeling goes away as soon as humanly possible."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Serious burning. I was running around the house in pain and discomfort. I thought I would have to go to the doctor. I am emailing the doctor tonight. This is worse than before I used the ovule. Seems more itching now. I'm seriously wondering why I did not see the notes from other ladies before I spent $25.00. The cost is really not it, it is the pain and lack of relief. I can't go to work like this seriously tomorrow!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh my God. I inserted this about 20 minutes ago, and I can honestly say this is the most discomfort I've ever felt in my entire life. I'd rather have my vagina ripped out of me than continue on with this insanity. I will never buy this again, it's like a demon released a colony of fire ants inside of you."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Used as directed. Itching mostly gone, but a burning sensation arose. Ignored it and slept, only to be awoken by a very intense discomfort on the vulva. The internet entries were submitted over a year ago with no solution. Twelve hours after initial application, I am very uncomfortable doing anything and everything. Sitting, walking, doing nothing hurts and now burns. The burning doesn't hurt, moving anything more than 1 cm in my chair or walking is horribly painful. So I decide to examine the area and discover a swollen and terrifying area that no longer resembles a labia. Nothing has ever taken a huge toll on my self-esteem and body than this. See your OBGYN, unlike my dumb a**, I might be allergic to the egg part. Twenty-four hours later, a little less swollen."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Popped the ovule pill in, fell asleep, and woke up in total discomfort. I had no idea what to do, so I jumped in the shower to get as much of the medication out as possible. I placed a tampon in and let it sit for two minutes and pulled it out. That seemed to work. I won't purchase this treatment again. This medication has to be the worst... Advice: Try a longer treatment plan because clearly it's too concentrated for the vagina. :/"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the worst product ever!!! Do not waste your money. Go to your doctor instead. Hours after putting the little ball of medication into my vag, oh my God!!! I was in so much discomfort! My va-jj was on fire!!! It burned so bad I almost cried. And it didn’t go away either. Nope! Instead, it got progressively worse over the following 2-3 days. Not only that, but it made my lady bits swell up!! I was a swollen, burning mess. It was worse than having an actual yeast infection! I’m beginning to wonder if the makers of this medication are a bunch of dudes and they are playing a sick joke on all of us women!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had BV, and was given some antibiotics. I knew I would get a yeast infection, and of course, I did. The usual symptoms. I originally bought the generic Monistat for 7 days, but I stopped at day 2. That was the most uncomfortable feeling I've ever had. Super itchy. I said, I am not doing this, I used the Monistat one-day prefilled tube, NOT the egg. I read the reviews and I knew I had to fix this yeast inside me before I start making bread. I laid back and I was ready for the burning. I pushed it in, bit my lip... And nothing. Minutes and hours. And nothing happened. Yes, it was a little something, but more of discomfort. Now, I feel better and cured. I read the burning is because you're allergic to the product. It worked for me. (:"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've had a few YIs before, all due to antibiotics (yay me), and I've used the Monistat 1-day treatment before, and I don't remember having any negative side effects, although I do remember the cream burning/offering no relief. I've had this YI for 5 days, and so I decided to try again. I inserted it when I got home from work, then took a nap, and woke up with 10x the burning, itching, and irritation I've had all week! I went to the bathroom, and a lot of the medication was in my panties, and I cleaned what I could off of me. It really irritated my skin, and it was very uncomfortable for several hours. The only thing that offered any relief was applying damp toilet paper with cold water, and even that was only temporary. Never again!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG... this is the absolute worst experience I have ever had. I get yeast infections about once or twice a year. Diflucan oral usually does the trick. This one was particularly stubborn. I took the pill, then a one-day miconazole. That one was a little uncomfortable but not too bad. Symptoms started subsiding but never went completely away. Today, on the advice of my doctor, I went to purchase a 3-day. Well, me and all my medical knowledge decided to try tioconazole since the miconazole didn't cut it completely. I got home and inserted the cream about 10:30. By 10:45, as someone below stated so eloquently, Lucifer himself has set up camp in my vagina and has brought his team of fire ants just to make sure he gets his point across."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is absolutely unforgivable, horrible! Please do not waste your money on this! I inserted about half an hour ago, and the inside of my vagina is on fire. It burns like nothing I've ever experienced before, and I wish there was something I could do to stop it. I can't even sleep because of how uncomfortable I am. Please, please, please go for something oral if you are looking into how to get rid of your yeast infection!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am currently going through a YI, and I came here to read reviews, lol. I have so many different opinions. I'm having a lot of discomfort and went to buy the 1-day applicator, and I'm afraid, lol. LADIES! The way you all are describing this product has me scared and laughing. Trust me, I'm not getting off easy, I have the same discomfort before I even applied the Monistat. Wish me luck."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I've been on penicillin the past few days for dental work, and then the dread YI happened. Few years since my last one, but I'm going away in 2 days, and the LAST thing I need was to be uncomfortable on the plane! I remember using the 3-day years ago and couldn't remember anything aside from the YI clearing up. So I bought the 1-day. Man, do I wish I would've read this! Within 30 minutes, I was on fire. Annoyed at myself for giggling and being carefree just 30 mere moments before I put that egg in. I was up and down all night in more discomfort than I began with. But 10 hours later, the pain has subsided to the point I function as a normal human. Good luck, ladies, there is a light at the end of this painful tunnel."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I actually didn't have the reaction most of the women here listed. I did have some mild burning/discomfort, but nothing to lose sleep over. It actually was instant relief for the yeast infection I had, and I have them chronically. I got the tioconazole by Equate and was horrified reading these reviews that I would wake up in pain, but I didn't. I guess everyone is different. I did have some spotting once I woke up, but I was otherwise fine."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Well, I took this last night! While the itching has subsided, I have burning and continue to have burning. I would not recommend this product again. I wouldn't say it's unbearable, but I'm pretty uncomfortable. It has not been a full 24 hours now, but at least 12, and I'm still burning. Consider other options before using this product."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Like many of you, I wish I had read the reviews before using this product. It's almost 48 hours past, and it's still burning and itching with a lot of discomfort, much worse than the yeast infection itself. My symptoms were mild, and I did this to get rid of it quickly. What a big mistake! At least I see that I am not the only one... I was about to make an appointment with my GYN."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "After taking antibiotics for a UTI (urinary tract infection), I developed a yeast infection. Since I was out of town, I bought a 3-day Monistat. It worked somewhat, but the infection returned. So then I used Monistat 1-day so I could get it over with. It was the most horrible night I have spent with burning and itching. Today, almost 24 hours later, it’s still uncomfortable, but I can tolerate it more. No cure in 1 day. No Monistat 1 Day for me. Wish I had read the reviews before I used it. What do I do now?"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Experienced burning and redness as a result of this medication. I don't understand why/how products like this that burn and irritate the user are over the counter yet Diflucan (fluconazole), which is an oral yeast infection medicine with no side effects, is prescription only. It is completely backward and makes women suffer and experience more discomfort and pain versus a painless pill. It's been 4 days since I took this medicine and I'm still feeling raw and uncomfortable."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It was the worst experience of my life. I asked the pharmacist what he recommended since an antibiotic caused a yeast infection. He said if it was him, he would want to get rid of it right away. Wrong! I'm at day 5. I would have preferred the yeast infection. I took it early in the morning. After a few hours, I began to have a constant sting and itch. I took a shower and noticed major swelling and more discomfort. I felt so irritated. Just last night, I put Desitin to help. I will never take the one-day again. The three-day, I didn't get this reaction at all. Don't risk it. It is very painful and worry of damage it could cause. They need to pull this off the shelf! I had to write this to help others."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not use this medication! I had the worst reaction that my doctor called “common.” She said that I wasn’t even technically allergic to it, it’s just a common reaction to the strength of the medicine. The swelling was so bad, the lips of my labia swelled up until I had bulging tissue between my legs. It was extremely uncomfortable. I would never suggest using this to anyone, ever. Just Google all the reviews online yourself, it is a very common side effect. Even if you’ve used the 7-day and 3-day kind with no problem. Just avoid the one-day treatment at ALL cost, trust me, your vagina will thank you!!!"
